《Toxic Thoughts》Chapter 13: Sleepover

Bakugou didn't expect to wake up in the arms of his crush, being spooned from behind as they laid under the soft orange covers. His body was frozen, unable to interpret the situation. How had this happened?! He didn't remember falling asleep, let alone in Kirishima's arms. The last thing he remembered was that they were going to look over some notes from class together and they ended up arguing... How did all that lead up to this?
Not that he was complaining much... His arms felt secure, his body separating him from the rest of the world like a sturdy wall, shielding him from harm. It felt nice... The more he thought about it, the more his face heated up. He'd really fallen hard for this idiot, hadn't he? While Katsuki was having a gay panic, Eijirou nuzzled into the spikey blonde hair, unaware of the fact that the smaller teen was awake. You're sunshine, that's what he said right? It was so cute coming from him...
Kiri smiled, hoping that maybe Bakugou actually liked him back, that they might have a chance together. The way he had clung to him and fallen asleep in his arms was adorable and the words he'd muttered had made his heart flutter. At first he wanted to put Katsuki to bed and leave him alone to let him sleep. But the ash blonde had pulled him with him in his sleep, begging for him to stay.
Kirishima wasn't sure if he'd been aware of what he was saying or doing in that moment, yet he had happily done what he asked. He felt bad for taking advantage of Bakugou like that... But wasn't this something he wanted? He shouldn't feel guilty if Katsuki liked it as much as he did, right? He heard Bakugou's breathing getting louder and his body moved a bit.
"Bakugou?" Eijirou whispered, wanting to see if he was awake or not. It was around 11 by now and the sun had already gone down long ago. Yet he could still make out those ruby red eyes, staring down at the wall in front of him.
"Is everything okay?" he asked worriedly, now hovering slight above him, his hand carefully combing through the blonde hair.
"You're...in my bed" he breathed. It wasn't a question, more like a statement. Like he was convincing himself this was real and not just a dream.
"H-how are you in m-my bed?"
"You asked me to stay with you... Don't you remember?" Kirishima frowned, seeing his friend was a little freaked out by all of this. Maybe he should back up?
"I can leave if you want me to?" he added, a little unsure of what to do. Kiri shifted a bit, wanting to get up from the bed as Bakugou grabbed his shirt, preventing him from moving any further.
"How long was I asleep..?" he asked, still not looking at Kirishima.
"Oh, uhm, about 4 hours, I think? Something like that? Why?"
4 hours?! That's some of the most consecutive nightmare-free sleep he has gotten in a very long time...
Was it because of Eijirou..? Because he made him feel safe..? That's just stupid... Or maybe it wasn't?
"Bakugou? You're getting me seriously worried with that look..." Eijirou mumbled, carefully prying the hand off his chest so he could sit up.
"Go change into your damn pajamas Shitty Hair, you're sleeping here tonight" he simply stated, shooting out of his daze.

"W-wha-?"
"Ugh, I need to explain everything, do I?" Katsuki groaned, sitting up.
"I don't sleep well, okay? I have insomnia, and if I do fall asleep, I suffer from nightmares. But this time I didn't a-and I think it's because you were here... I want to test that theory so you're staying in my room tonight. Sleepover"
Kirishima beamed, grinning from ear to ear as he jumped up from the bed.
"Sleepover! Oh my God! Yes, this is gonna be so much fun! I'll go grab my extra futon!"
He ran towards the door, running straight into it since he forgot it was locked. He quickly clicked it open, giving the blonde a sheepish smile before leaving. Katsuki quietly shook his head, unable to supress a small laugh. That damn moron... Getting so fucking excited over a sleepover... How typical... Bakugou took this time to change into his sleeping clothes, leaving him still shirtless as the red head fell back into his room, stumbling over his own feet as fell onto his futon.
"Dumbass" Katsuki snorted, making the red head laugh.
"Sorry, I'm so clumsy sometimes-" he chuckled, instantly stopping as he saw the half naked male in front of him. Of course he'd seen those defined abs in the changing room, but this was the first time seeing them without the cover of make-up... He had faded burn marks running down his sides, all kinds of scars in different sizes and shapes ruining his perfect skin.
Katsuki was instantly self-conscious and quickly put a tank top on. That way only his arms were visible, one of them still partially wrapped in bandages.
"S-sorry! I didn't mean to stare-" he started as he crawled up.
"It's fine... Lock the damn door" Bakugou muttered, walking over to his small bathroom. Eijirou quickly closed and locked the door, spreading out his futon on the floor.
"Oi hair for brains, come here" Katsuki demanded, summoning the red head to the excuse of a bathroom. He wasn't prepared to see his friend with half undone bandages, the cuts still visible even through Recovery Girl's healing. The scars would remain, even her quirk couldn't help that...
"I need to re-do these before I go back for my final healing tomorrow- Stop looking at me like that!"
"Sorry! Just, uhm, you uh... You want some help with that?" he asked, trying to slide it of as a casual conversation.
"No shit, why else would I call you over Shitty Hair?" he grumbled, ripping the remaining bandages off. Katsuki frowned as he looked down upon the horizontal cuts, with one sloppy vertical cut slashing through the middle.
"Do you, uhm, need to put some cream on that or uh-" Ei mumbled, taking the old bandages and throwing them in the trash, his breath hitching as he saw other bloody bandages in there as well. How long had the cutting being going before they had intervened..?
"Recovery Girl gave me this, it's supposed to disinfect, keep the cuts clean so it won't get infected" the blonde sighed, taking the stuff he needed and pushing past Kirishima as he left the toilet, sitting down on his bed. There was more room there anyways.
Kiri slowly turned around, watching how his friend hissed quietly, flinching a little as he applied the disinfectant.
"Hold on, let me do it" the red head said, taking over. Afterwards, he carefully wrapped his arm up again. During this action, neither of them spoke a word beside the small sorry's of Eijirou as a sound of discomfort or pain slipped past Katsuki's lips. Bakugou found it frustrating but cute at the same time while Kirishima felt guilty for accidentally hurting his friend. They didn't talk about it after that and just settled in for the night afterwards.

"Goodnight Bakugou" Ei whispered as he heard the blonde turn in his bed. All he got in return was a grumble before the room fell silent again. Katsuki found himself falling to sleep a little easier with the knowledge that Kirishima was there with him. He still had nightmares though, but they weren't as bad as usual. This time Eijirou turned around, facing him, running towards him and saving him. A smile came to his lips in his sleep, happily accepting the red head in his dreamscape.
Yet an alarm blared through that thought, waking him up instantly as he shot up in his bed.
"Sorry" Kirishima mumbled as he tiredly reached out for his phone to stop the loud sounds from filling up the room.
"Why does your alarm sound like a fucking siren?!" Bakugou hissed, glaring at the shark boy as he yawned and turned around on his futon.
"Otherwise I oversleep dude. This is the only thing that gets me up in the morning. I'm actually surprised that you haven't complained about it, you know, since we share a wall and all" he mumbled, vaguely gesturing towards the direction his own dorm was located. They must've done one hell of a job on soundproofing this place if Bakugou had never heard that terrible sound before...
"Anyway, how did you sleep?" he asked, looking curiously at Katsuki.
"...Better" the ash blonde mumbled, rubbing his eyes.
"That's great!" Kirishima smiled, jumping up from his futon.
"Anyway, I should go back to my room and get ready for school. Uhm, a-are you going to school today?"
"Can't... I've got to go to the nurses office for my arm and I'll probably be tired as fuck afterwards... Besides, we don't have hero training on Wednesday so it's just regular classes I'm missing. I can catch up easily"
"Oh, okay, well uh, I'll ask Midoriya to take notes for you then!" Ei smiled, walking over to the door.
"See you later Bakugou!"
With that he left, leaving Katsuki all alone once more. He glanced down at the messy futon, throwing off the balance of the whole room by being so dominantly placed in the middle of the floor. The ruby eyes teen sighed, rubbing his eyes as he crawled out of bed. He straightened up his blankets, making up to futon as well since he liked everything to be in perfect order.
He glanced at his phone, seeing it was later than he usually woke up to go to school. It also meant that a lot of his classmates were down in the common room as he entered, but he tried to ignore it. He had applied some make up before going down, yet the bandages were still visible since he was wearing a regular shirt. He felt the stares on him but nobody spoke to him as he walked over to the fruitbowl to decide on his breakfast.
"What?! You guys had a sleepover! Unfair!" he heard Denki whine, making him turn around slightly.
"Oh, I know! Why don't we have a class sleepover this weekend? You know, with games and snacks and everything!" Mina suggested, instantly getting positive feedback from the rest of the class.
"A sleepover~ I can already imagine the girls~ Sexy pillow fights-" Mineta spouted out, making grabbing motions with his hands.
Sero taped him up into a cocoon rather quickly, sticking him to the wall as he wriggled to get free.
"Mineta is officially banned from the class sleepover" Jirou stated, all girls instantly agreeing.
"I agree! We won't atone such unruly behaviour!" Iida shouted, his hands making chopping motions as he spoke.
"I will talk to Aizawa sensei about this matter right away!"
Bakugou rolled his eyes at the scene, deciding on a peach as he took the fruit out of the bowl.
"Ashido, can I help you with the games?" Hagakure asked, super excited about this whole sleepover idea. They first had to get it approved by their homeroom teacher, but everyone was sure Aizawa wouldn't make a fuss about it. And so everyone started leaving to go to class.
"Hey Bakugou! Wanna walk to school with us?" Kirishima asked as he suddenly popped up in front of the blonde, a sharp toothed smile prominent on his face.
The rest of the squad was standing behind him, giving similar dumb smiles as they awaited his answer.
"I know you're not going to class, but we're still heading to the same building, right?" the red head added.
"Whatever... Let me take my damn coat" Katsuki mumbled, pushing him aside to go grab his things. It was snowing again today, covering everything in a thin layer of white.
Bakugou nuzzled into his scarf in search for warmth. He didn't have anything against this weather. If anything, the cold woke him up and felt refreshing against his skin. Yet he didn't want to get sick again, knowing what kind of fuss that would give. He saw Deku happily talking to Uraraka and Todoroki, who were walking in front of them, while Kirishima, Kaminari and Ashido were planning the sleeping arrangements for the sleepover. There was enough room in the common room for everyone so Katsuki failed to see the need.
He silently parted from the group as they entered the building, strolling towards the nurses office. With a simply knock, he entered the room, seeing Recovery Girl was already waiting for him. The whole kiss thing didn't take that long, it never did. But she still had to remove the bandages as she explained some things that she and the teachers talked about for his aftercare.
"Are you sure you'll make it back to the dormitory dear? You can always sleep here" she offered.
"I'm fine" Katsuki mumbled out of habit, silently thanking her and leaving the office again. More snow had fallen by the time he stumbled outside, making his way back to the dorms. He slipped a few times, but luckily he never fell. Once he arrived back into the warmth of his home away from home, he pulled his coat and scarf off, kicking off his shoes and falling down on one of the couches.
He propped a pillow under his head and closed his eyes, finally giving in to the exhaustion. A feeble thought ran through his mind, finding it quite amusing he seemed to be getting so much sleep lately. Maybe things were finally looking up for him huh?

Pawns of God
Five Lines PitchJoin Mark in his fight against a God and change the game's destiny! Delve into a slow-paced story focused on the progression of the main party and the development of the world. Mark himself will be narrating his life inside the game, and to a much lesser extend outside. Guild building, economy, and strategy are the central pieces of the novel. Mark is not overpowered, he will have to build his own power through action-packed battles, trials, traumas, love, and death. Accompany him, the healer and the strategist, an agent of chaos, in the adventure of his life. Without further preamble, I will let Mark take the mic. SynopsisHi! My name is Mark. This is my story, my life as I live it day after day. I’m in my thirties, and there’s nothing I love more than playing online games. I’ve just joined the action on the newest VRMMO game, Pawns of God. An immersive experience you can play while sleeping. Of course, as a game that takes pride in its long development and technological advances, everything inside seems and feels real. Beware, this is not a game-turns-real story. I love my own world and I would detest being summoned into another one. If that ever happens, I’ll just quickly take my life and be done with it. I play with my friends, in a party of 5. We have taken several roles, but lately, I've come to love being a healer. It's my secret ambition to someday be the shotcaller. I am not overpowered. If there is any bug or exploit in the game, they are yet to be discovered. Anyhow, for a game of this scale, the company is pouring all of its resources into test servers, QA, and beta tests. I don’t expect to find any, so I’ll be playing the game just like any other person. I must say, though, I am easily distracted, as you will immediately notice once you start. I'm working on it, I promise to improve! I am no hero. Being in my 30s, my heart is too old for this shit. I wouldn’t mind being one, of course. Who hasn’t dreamt of it? Either way, I’m not doing any grand quest to save the world. Whatever the game throws to their users, I’ll be there to experience it. Most of my life, at least the interesting parts that I’ll be narrating, happen inside the game itself. Rarely, there will be some IRL (In Real Life) chapters. You’ll understand, however, that as a freelance software developer, there is not much I can entertain you with when outside the game. Did I say I love games? Well, I’m also a fan of LitRPG literature. You know, journeys of magic, relationships, personal development, items, skills, discovery… In the spirit of not overwhelming my public, I’ll condense each chapter into circa 1500 words. You might have noticed some tags over this story, let me elaborate. I like to swear. I’m not shy when it comes to cursing my enemies, friends, or even myself. When there’s blood, I tell it as I see it. And… it hurts to admit it, but I’m not a casanova. Of course, this doesn’t mean that I won’t ever find love. So, in case I do end up finding it, let’s keep my sexual options open. As for traumas, none yet, but the future is vast and unknown. Release Schedule The schedule is subject to change, particularly if enough readers end up loving it. All chapters are already written, thus there is enough freedom to modify them. Arc 1 * Chapters 1-14: Each released one day and an hour later than the previous. Starting with chapter 2 at 09:20 UTC+2 on day 1, and finishing at 21:20 UTC+2 on day 13.
