Chapter 36, Swimming Pools

I would swim the seven seas, climb mount everest and walk to Puerto Rico just to be with you.

The sun was beating on Cora and I, we were at the Waltons babysitting Daelo whilst Javon and DJ were out at the gym and Jayla and Jessica were out at the volleyball game Jayla had.

Jaden was out buying some food, the ACs were on but it was still so hot.

Soon the Waltons returned which meant Cora and I should go home, as we walked to the front door, Jessica invited us to go to a pool.

I wasn't too sure, I didn't want to overstep but they allowed me to.

We left the house and walked over to Cora's house, she has the cutest swim suits.

I had no idea what hairstyle I wanted so I had Cora surprise me, I looked in the mirror and smiled.

She put my hair in two pigtails and let my bangs out, I walked to her bathroom and changed into her swimsuit.

The swimsuit is new, so do not worry about anything.

After I changed, I walked outside of the bathroom and walked downstairs.

I was greeted by Cora's mom, she always treated me like I'm her own daughter which is what I loved most.

"Hola mamí."

I said smiling, whenever I had went over to Cora's house, I was to only speak Spanish only.

I struggled a couple of times but I soon learned, it was a feel good moment getting the Spanish correct.

"Mira lo buena que es tu español!"

( Translation: Look at how good your Spanish is. )

Mrs. Weissman said happily, I hugged her and waited for Cora walk to walk downstairs.

She offered me some snacks, to which I accepted because her snacks are bomb!

"Mamá, scarlett y yo iremos a nadar a los waltons. llamaré cuando estemos."

Cora said as she handed me a towel and grabbed my hand, I waved goodbye to Mrs. Weissman.

"Adios Mamá!"

I finally shouted right before Cora closed the door, we began to walk over to the Walton's.

I was excited because that meant I could spend more time with Daelo, he was an adorable little boy who I was really good friends with.

Once we got to the door, I rung the doorbell and knocked only twice because I wasn't trying to be annoying.

I took my phone out and texted my dad to let him know that I am at the Waltons.

Soon the door opened which revealed Jayla.

Oh! Forgot to mention, silly me, haha.

Jayla and Cora are finally official, they've been so cute.

"Cayla for life y'all!"

I said as I hugged Jayla, i walked inside and immediately ran over to Daelo.

I hugged him gently and picked him up, twirling him around.

Once I have settled him down, I walked over to Javon.

I hugged him to which he hugged me back, I settled the towel down and slowly got into the pool.

Cora was sitting with Jayla and having a good time, I was literally fangirling.

I got out the pool really quickly and dried my hands, I took my phone out and scrolled through my camera roll.

"Is it alright if I post a photo of y'all?"

I asked politely as I showed them the photo I wanted to post, they both agreed with it and I posted it happily.

I stopped looking at the comments and looked up at Jaden, he was smiling at me.

I smiled back and went back into the water, our friendship has been secured enough.

I was playing with Daelo when Jaden walks over and goes into the water, I smiled at Daelo as he swam over to Javon.

"Hey Jaden."

I greeted as he swam over to me, I smiled as he greeted me back.

After the night we kissed, we had been way more closer than ever and I was glad but we were still friends.

"We should really talk about our labels."

Jaden said, I was a little nervous before he came over and now I was full on having an anxiety attack.

I wanted to have a talk about our labels but I didn't want to actually talk about our labels, does that make sense?

"Well I'm she/her, what's your labels?"

I asked being clueless, I wanted the world to swallow me up and spit me out somewhere else.

Jaden just laughed at my response and shook his head, I sighed and nodded.

"Scarlett, I really like you."

Jaden admitted with a cheeky smile, I rolled my eyes playfully and smiled at him.

It felt good to hear if I was honest but I wasn't exactly sure where this was going.

"I like you as well, Jaden."

I reciprocated my feelings towards him, he smiled at me and we hugged.

"Would you want to be with me?"

He asked as he moved away, I nodded slowly.

"Would you want to be with me, even if I was light years away Jaden?"

I was spit-balling here, I just wanted to know what he would say.

He looked at me and grabbed my hands, I was quite sure that I was making doe-eyes at him but I couldn't help it.

He said with a soft smile, now I was feeling the butterflies that were erupting in my stomach.

I couldn't stop the smile growing wider, it was just dancing on my lips proudly and I didn't want to stop it.

"I'm pretty sure you can't walk to Puerto Rico, Jaden."

I laughed, he shook his head and smiled at me.

I knew what he meant, he knew what he meant and so did everyone else.

I kissed his cheek and grabbed his hands as we began to swim around together.

Did I find myself a keeper?

I think I did.
