NICK PREPARED ME FOR THE BIRD TAKEOVER JADEN, I AM PREPARED!

~ Scarlett's POV ~

I was laying on my bedroom floor with a pillow under my chin as I watched the Sturniolo triplets talk about the bird takeover.

I agreed with Nick, the birds could potentially try and kill us.

I was wearing black shorts and a white over sized shirt, the heat was overwhelming so I had my AC blasting.

My video was interrupted by a face time call by Jaden, I groaned and answered it.

"Hey Scar!"

He said happily, I smiled and waved as I walked downstairs bare foot and walked to the kitchen.

"I was watching a video, what do you want?"

I asked as I opened the fridge and grabbed chocolate chips, I grabbed a glass bowl and poured them in the glass.

I walked back upstairs to my room and closed the door because I don't want a creep walking in.

"I was bored and decided to bother you, so how are you?"

He asked with a smile dancing around on his lips, I rolled my eyes and laid back on my stomach.

We continued talking and the conversation ended in me inviting him over to watch the Sturniolo triplets.

After what felt like eternity, Jaden came through my window with a smile on his face.

I turned my phone off and turned on the TV, clicking the YouTube app on the screen.

I got up from the ground and laid next to Jaden, he grabbed my hand with a smile as we began to watch Nick Sturniolo inform us in the birds.

"He's so right."

I agreed with what Nick said, birds can literally realize that they can end us and do it.

"No he's not, Scarlett."

Jaden disagreed, I paused the video and sat up.

I looked at him with disgust, how can someone be such an imbecile?

"Yeah he is! I am even prepared for the bird takeover!"

I said as I got up from my bed and ran to my closet, I opened the door and showed him different foods, snacks and waters.

He looked at me and stood silent for a moment before he bursted out laughing, I rolled my eyes and sat back down on my bed.

"The bird takeover will not and can not happen, Nick did not prepare you."

Jaden said as he tried convincing me as if a pelican won't swoop down, lift him two hundred feet in the air and drop him like a bad habit.

I shouted but it didn't take long before we both bursted out in laughter, I knew it sound ridiculous but so did being unprepared for a potential takeover.

I laid back down and laid my head on his chest as I pressed the unpause button, I heard his heartbeat race a little but didn't question it.

Mine began to race as well when his arm snaked around my waist.

"BRING ME MY STAFFFFF!"

Nick shouted at his twins, I couldn't help but laugh at that.

This was the best way in my opinion to start your summer, with your crush, watching the Sturniolo triplets.

I hadn't realized we spent all day together, we ordered food and went back to my room.

The sun went down but Jaden didn't seem to care neither did I.

"Stay the night?"

I asked as I grabbed my phone and looked the at the time, I was sent a message from my dad to tell me him and Alana were going to stay at a hotel for a date.

Jaden smiled down at me and accepted the invite.

We spent our whole night making fun of Sofia The First, I mean she was quite literally an eight year old living my dream.

I mean how is that even possible?

"I thought the boy was her boyfriend, if I'm being honest."

Jaden muttered as he played the next episode, his other hand playing with my hair softly.

I chuckled quietly and smiled.

"He's her stepbrother I think."

I responded not being super sure about it, I never really thought that through.

Disney Jr really teaching kids that it's okay to have a crush on your family members because it's a learning experience.

Soon my eyes felt heavy, my breathing slowed down and I found myself falling asleep.

Jaden turned the TV off and turned on the AC with the remote, I felt his lips on my forehead as he covered us both with a blanket.

Never have I ever felt more loved in my life.
