Chapter 6, Sewing Incident
I don't want to see her, she's made my life a living hell the last time I saw her.
"Scarlett..."
A voice was calling my name but I groaned in response, I was exhausted from everything.
The sun was shining down at me but I just fixed it with burying my head under the pillow.
"Scarlett!"
The same very voice shouted at me, I groaned louder and removed the pillow from my head.
I moved my messy hair away from my face and looked at my phone, Jaden was calling my name.
"What did you want Jaden?"
I asked as I grabbed my phone off the charger and walked to my bathroom, I set my phone standing up and brushed my teeth.
"I wanted you to wake up, it's already eleven."
Jaden informed me, I sighed and walked out of the bathroom.
He was wearing a long sleeved white shirt, white bucket hat and shorts.
"It's summer, I could've stayed sleeping."
I complained as I looked through my closet, every so often my eyes would shut but I woke up again.
I had no idea why I was so exhausted but I would be energized enough when I have coffee in my system.
Once I found the perfect outfit, I went on pause for a moment so I could change.
"Show me the fit when you're done."
He said, I smiled softly and began to change.
Once I had finished changing, I put my hair in two pigtails and took out my bangs.
I went off pause and walked downstairs, Jaden wasn't in his room anymore.
Instead he looked like he was walking down the stairs, that was until he tripped on the last stair and fell.
I bursted out in laughter, doubling over to get some air in my lungs.

As he stood up, I was dying on the floor, tears came out of my eyes and I was holding my sides.
"It wasn't that funny Scarlett."
Jaden scoffed as he finally got up from the floor, he rolled his eyes as he watched me continuously cry of laughter.
As I relaxed, he gave me a disappointed mom look which made me laugh harder.
I got up from the ground and went over to the kitchen to grab a water bottle, I finally calmed down and went outside.
I set the phone down and started doing yoga, I was stretching so that I could do whatever without having popcorn for bones.
"I'm coming over."
Jaden said as he walked out of his house, I stopped stretching and watched as he came over.
He looked so pretty, I know being called pretty is normally for girls but I think boys could be pretty too.
As he jogged over I couldn't look at him, I felt like Gorgeous by Taylor Swift.
Cause you're so gorgeous.
He began to walk over with a smile, he waved at me and I waved back before looking away.
I can't say anything to your face.
As he finally came over, he gave me a hug and sat down beside me on the grass.
"You good? You haven't looked at me or said a full sentence."
I was hoping he didn't notice, I nodded slowly and looked at him.
A smile crept up on my lips, we've known each other for about three days and I was swooning.
"Have you ever decided to make your own clothes?"
I asked, breaking the comfortable silence between us.
He looked at me confused and shook his head, I smiled and grabbed his hand.
We walked downstairs into the basement, it had a sewing machine, a mannequin, fabric and other good stuff.

I told him that I would teach him to sew.
"Nope, not a chance."
He said, he turned his heel and began to walk upstairs but I grabbed his wrist.
"Don't chicken out now."
he turned around and laughed a bit, I began to teach him how to sew and he was doing pretty good actually, if you don't include the amount of times he stabbed himself with the needle.
After an hour or two, he had successfully made a cute jacket for me to wear.
"Since you were so kind to me and created this jacket, I'll clean your hands."
I grabbed his wrist gently and we walked upstairs, we walked into the kitchen.
I grabbed the first aid and took out some bandaids and Neosporin.
I also took out some alcohol pads but I wasn't about to tell him that or else he wouldn't let me clean his wounds.
As I wiped his cuts, I blew on it so it wouldn't burn as much.
"You're a natural caretaker."
Jaden said softly, I looked at him and smiled softly.
He was right, it was in my nature to take care of people who didn't even deserve it.
Before I could answer, I got a message from my mom.
My smile faded away, she was coming over tomorrow with his sister, Cassandra.
"Everything good there Scar?"
My stomach swarmed with butterflies, when others say my nickname I didn't feel like this but when he says it, I feel the whole motherboard of butterflies.
"Yeah, just my mom and her aunt coming."
I said sounded disappointed, he looked at me confused and had asked if I didn't want to see either one of them.
"No I love my mom, it's just my aunt."
"Oh, how come?"
He asked, I wasn't sure how to respond in a kind way without sounding bitter.
I don't want to see her, she's made my life a living hell the last time I saw her.
I said dramatically, he laughed at me and grabbed my hand gently.
We went on a walk for a bit before deciding to go out to eat, we were both hungry.
You're so gorgeous, I can't say anything to your face. Cause look at that face.
You're gorgeous.
The lyric replayed in my head a thousand times as he held onto my hand, I felt my heart at my throat.

Deviant's Masquerade: The Huntsman's Quest (An Urban Magic Quest/RPG)
Jon Whitaker went to summer camp expecting a nice relaxing time as a newly minted counselor in training. He was not expecting to fight an army of monsters, work with a serial killer, enter a one-sided friendship with an eldritch horror, or study under a competing witch and dark lord. But regardless of what he was expecting, his summer is over and he's made his way back home where he can try and return to a normal -for him- life. Too bad life rarely goes as expected. --- Please Note: This is forum quest/RPG I run in the same city/setting as my other stories Hacking Reality and Get Ink'd, meaning that while a majority of the plot is made up by me, the major choices as well as what each chapter is about are usually made by the actual readers in forum votes. Additionally, given how this is essentially a story version of a Tabletop game there is also a background RPG system that while the characters aren't necessarily aware of, the readers can see these stats to know how each chosen 'Action' effects their character's development.

As much as I would love to put trigger warnings at the beginning of each chapter, I will probably forget to so this is your warning now that there will be not too nice topics discussed. If there is anything that I miss, please let me know. Constructive criticism is welcome This is a story that will start off with rough topics and slowly get more fluffy (I am hoping as I haven't finished it as of now.)
