《Drunk & Sober : IN LOVE》Chapter 8

I nervously made my way to the black SUV standing in front of the dorm building. On seeing me she climbed down from the car and made her way to me.
She was surprised to see me and by the look on her face I could state that she was swooning over me. I cleared my throat to bring her back from her thoughts.
She looked embarrassed when she realized that I caught her eyeing me. "You look better than what I imagined you to be."
I rolled my eyes at her comment and asked her, "Is this your way of complimenting someone?" She faked a laugh before coming closer to me which made me hold my breath.
She was practically looking like a model who just came out from a vogue magazine shoot. Now it was my turn to go gaga over her.
I couldn't help but notice her short light brown coloured one-piece which had a V- cut in the front just right in front of her thighs highlighting her long shiny legs. The dress had a deep neck showcasing the right amount of cleveage.
I could feel the fire burning in my stomach to touch her once but I brushed away the thoughts and felt highly dejected to even think about such things. "Atleast I had the courtesy to pass a compliment indirectly unlike you who has been noticing me for more than a minute now and still hasn't said nothing", she said while looking at her watch.
"Okay. I admit I am being a jerk here. You look..." I took a long pause while looking straight into her eyes "Mesmerizing". I could see the smile that formed on her lips but she was quick enough to wipe it off with a mischievous smirk.
I don't know what is with her that she always tries to be strong, with respect to her actions, her feelings or even her expressions now when I noticed her. "Even you look handsome", she said before making her way to the driver's seat.
I blushed but I was relieved that she wasn't noticing my face turning into a dark shade of red. As soon as we sat in the car she played the song "All of me".
I couldn't help smiling when she sang along. The girl with whom I was sharing a seat in the car was not something she was portrayed to be.
Rebekah was always told to be a bitch with an arrogant attitude and her bully behaviour made her more talked about in the campus. But she seemed something different to me.
For once I thought the veil she keeps to cover her true self was being held up which to my surprise brought someone whom I have found to love compliments, enjoys singing along with the lyrics of the songs and is a true sweetheart with a bit of a mocking tone. The innocence that was easily embodied in those blue eyes of hers which looked more pretty when the city lights fell on them.
She caught me looking at her more than twice but I was glad when she didn't tease me for it.
I was happy to have him there with me in that moment. It all seemed so perfect.
I was finally getting a chance to know him more. I wanted to show him all the love that I had inside of me waiting for years for a recipient and finally I got one worthy of it.

Trust was a difficult concept to me after years of being cheated and used again and again. But this person in front of me was different.
I caught him looking at me in the car when I was singing like an idiot along with my favourite song. He was just staring at me as if I was his whole world.
I didn't interject in between as I wanted this to be true. I wanted him to feel for me the same way I was feeling for him.
I wanted him to like me for once, to see me as someone who deserved a chance with him. Rex was looking so smart in the attire I gifted him that I literally had to control the desperate feeling inside of me that just wanted to taste his lips and feel his body against mine.
But I knew this couldn't happen, atleast not now. Things would take time and I was ready to give my best to be a deserving candidate.
This stupid party was my first chance to bring him closer to me by showing him what it feels to just let go for a moment and live in the present. I wanted him to just enjoy with me and forget about everything that scares him or keeps him back.
We arrived at the party in about 20 minutes. The place was already booming with loud music, drunk teenagers, lots and lots of alchohol and all types of things that were regarded as a short break to the fun world.
Rebekah held my hand as she saw me getting nervous. I had never been to a party before and to be serious I had never even been out anywhere without April.
At the thought of April I asked Rebekah if she had any clues where I could find her in such a big house. She scrunched her nose a bit before coming closer to me speaking in my ear, "She's with Rey and I assure you she will be fine. Just chillax and enjoy. I am here with you. Okay?"
She took me inside the mansion making her way through the drunk guys who were giving me dirty looks probably thinking about why the hell is Rebekah hanging out with a dork like me. But she didn't seem to care.
She made her way through the room before stopping in front of her group -The 6-Pack. As soon as Austin saw her he jumped from the table he was sitting and came closer to kiss her.
Taking this as a cue I tried to loose grip of the hand Rebekah was holding me with but this just made her to hold it more tightly. She stopped Austin right on time and patted him on the chest.
This made Austin back away which earned her a confusing look from Talia and the others. Talia offered me the red cup she was holding but I just denied her and stood quietly as Rebekah accepted the cup and drank the liquid in one go.
She then took me to the corner of the room wherein they were playing some game named as Beer pong. Rebekah literally begged me to play it with her as her partner.
On seeing my concern with the "drinking beer" which was the game's main requisite, she told her friends that I won't be drinking beer instead she filled the glasses that we would drink with fruit juice. It was literally fun and I was turning to be a better player at it.

Rebekah also teased me that I have been playing this game for years but just acting to be a newbie here to gain extra credits. We played two rounds of the game resulting in a win in both.
She even insisted for a third round but I was too bored to play it again. Strangely, I was actually enjoying myself in the party which I thought would be a nightmare to me before.
And it was all because of her. I knew that she deserves a thankyou once we are done with this party.
She then asked me if I wanted to dance. I was shy at first but then I agreed when I saw that they were playing my favourite band's music.
We danced our heart out on the dance floor. Minutes later even April and Rey joined us and it seemed that April was having a nice time with Rey.
I was genuinely happy for her. But soon the DJ turned on a slow song -"I like me better".
I was about to make my way to one of the sofa's when she caught hold of my hand. "May I have this dance with you?"
I chuckled a bit before taking her one hand in mine and adjusting the other on my shoulder. We swayed slowly cherishing the moment.
I could literally feel her breath laced with alcohol on my mouth as she was so close to me. I was holding her from her waist and this literally sent chills down my spine.
I knew I couldn't pull this any longer and so I had to maintain some distance from her. Just when I was about to tell her that I needed some fresh air when the music stopped.
This made me loosen up. She asked me if I needed something to drink and I just nodded as I was too thirsty from all the constant dancing.
Rebekah's POV:
I went into the kitchen to grab some fruit juice for Rex and some beer for myself. Talia was sitting on the counter top kissing some guy while he cupped her breasts and fingered her by using the other hand.
When she saw me she left the guy and came to where I was standing. "I see you are with that nerd tonight. You and your petty games Becca. Want to get in his pants?",she hissed.
I looked at her with the deadliest glare and remarked, "I am not playing any games with him Tal and no I don't want to get in his pants. He is just here with me today as a friend and nothing else so cool your horses. Okay?" She just gave me a fake smile before saying, "You look like a zombie Bex. You really need to fix your mascara as it is all over your face now."
I got hold of my phone and on switching to the selfie camera I realized that she was right. I then excused her and made my way to the washroom to not scare Rex when I meet him again.
On returning to the kitchen after five minutes I found the fruit juice glass intact on the bar while the beer glass that I filled was no longer there. I just smiled and thought that who would anyway grab a glass of fruit juice in a party.
It is just Rex who is capable of dancing the night away and enjoying the party wholeheartedly with a glass of fruit juice. I caught hold of both the glasses on the counter top before making my way to the hall.
Talia's POV:
I was way beyond irritated to see Rebekah having Rex wrapped around her finger. I literally choked on the liquid in my mouth when I saw her making an entry with him.
And the fucking makeover she gave him. I couldn't believe that Rex was falling for it.
And on the other hand his stupid bestfriend April was hanging around with Rey. The two most fun people of our group were now being the most questionable and it was because of these two stupid idiots that they were finding interest in.
I had a thing for Rex when I first saw him in the pizza joint but Rebekah has always been a bitch to snatch everything I like. I remember, back in school when I had a desperate feeling for Austin.
But as soon as Rebekah took admission in the school Austin went running after her. Even now I can see that Austin has a great liking for her but he is too adamant to accept it or maybe he has no balls to tell her this.
And then my parents. Like my blood related parents. They always thought that she was better than me.
I was a drug addict back then and I was always into partying and staying overnights smoking marijuana or whatever shit I could get my hands on. I had also been caught a hell lot of times stealing money for buying all this expensive shit.
And Rebekah on the other hand, was never into drugs and the peer pressure never had any effect on her. She has always been an idle daughter to my parents, a perfect girl to all the boys whom I laid my eyes on and now even Rex for that matter and a perfect friend to everyone in the pack.
So I internally swore that this was the end to all her happy titles. She had stolen enough from me and now it was my turn to get what's mine.
I could see that she was head over heels for Rex and it was my mission now to not let those two unite under any circumstances. I wasn't that interested in Rex but now when Rebekah wanted someone with so great desire it had all my attention.
So as soon as Rebekah went into the washroom to adjust her makeup I reached to my side pockets and removed a small plastic bottle that consisted of pills. Those weren't that strong but it was enough to get Rex intoxicated.
Now is where the game begins.
