《Reborn into The Beast World》Ch. 96 The Parade (cough!) Wedding

"Wait for me Suki! Save me a place to sit at your side!" hollers the childish voice of a cherry red hair cub as he is tearfully being dragged away by his embarrassed brothers who were running after their depressed father, Bronco.

Oh lord, that dumpling didn't forget! That little squirt didn't forget!!!

Feeling a shudder of horror going through my body, I then noticed that the eyes of my family had quickly hardened while watching how the squirt kept yelling promises to me. Glancing back at the sky instead of taking on my males I wished that whoever was listening to pleeeasseee let Bronco's cub fall in love with another female!

Unfortunately, my wish felt like fragile glass breaking into various pieces by sweet Elena's words of 'encouragement'; "My strong willed Atlas has always felt a strong connection to you since he was in my womb... Suki! He will always cherish you, just like his papa does to me!" laughs Elena joyfully as she drags a pale me and a blissfully snorting Natasha to Sheila's wedding.

As the three females and the two groups of males follow behind them, Suki's males follow a tad bit further behind them, urgently whispering to each other.

Leo, who was chewing on his own tail, lowly growled in complaint to the others, "what are we gonna do!!" Radu, who was walking beside him, sighed as he scratched in frustration the top of his head, "at least it's a cub and not a full grown male yet..." However, Adan abruptly interrupts, "exactly, yet.. Since it's a cub Suki may let him do as he pleases because she is, well, supremely kind." Wyatt, hearing how their female may be taken advantage of, growls in discontent, "well, we could for now use our strength and speed against him." Leo looks up at him in awe, "you mean we can just toss him to the forest." Radu swatts him on the cheek with his tail, "no, his strong lungs apparently gifted from Bronco will grab Suki's attention." After a few minutes of whispering back and forth in frustration, the clever skunk beastmen then widely opened his now bright and mischievous eyes, "hey, what about Vick..." To this idea the group finally let out an evil laugh.

Arriving at the wedding site chosen by Sheila is the beautiful view of the blue colored lake's calmness. Of course since the snow just started this morning and stopped later, there hasn't been much of a build up of the typical classical white landscape. Which is good for the guest since the females can be quite picky. Too cold? Let's build a bonfire. It won't matter that the fire will obstruct the path. Still too cold? Then let's grab some of that warm looking furs piled up at the front. Whose is it? Don't know, but since someone left it, then it means it's for anyone else to pick up. Still shivering? Then let's go back to the den... etc etc.

Thankfully, in the middle of where the guest will presumably sit lies dry logs ready to be lit, yet whenever someone tries to get close to the almost ready bonfire, one of Sheila's male 'friends' (now for this occasion dubbed as the organizers) would stop them and mention that it is needed for the ceremony.

And where am I? Well, I'm sitting at the front with my group of males sitting grumpily yet respectfully in a line as instructed by Sheila. As for the other families, they eventually were also led by the organizers to sit in a row like us. Many mutters of disagreement could be heard behind us, but the males followed through since their females were still out of reach from other males.

Example: (F) female, (M) male (Readers, try to guess who is who from the emoticons...).

My thoughts about freezing here scattered when loud odd noises came behind us. As we all turn to look back, we see two bear cubs carrying each a round object. A drum? As they slowly walk to the front, they loudly beated on the stretched out skin in tuned to a third cub's voice. This song..., is he singing Elvis 'Can't Help Falling In Love'? Ouch. I mean the cub has the cute voice going for him, but uh if Elvis heard them he'd probably crankily rise up from his grave, cross dimensions to this world, and hunt them till they get the tune of his song right.

Following behind the giddily singing cub is another male cub grumpily wearing a full reddish brown dress, um female cloth, while lifelessly throwing small red and pink flowers on the ground.

Pffff, quickly my hand goes up to cover my mouth. Attempting to control my giggles, my shoulders begin to shudder uncontrollably. Thankfully I'm not the only one doing the same since I can see some of the cub's friends guffawing but were stopped by either their mothers glare or their fathers head smack.

Finally, Sheila softly walks in a full white furry cloth with her light blonde hair decorated with some of our mountain winter flowers. Holding hands with her chosen male, Hayes, dressed in a nice clean black upper cloth and lower cloth, they confidently walk around the bonfire toward the front where the furs are laid. Standing on top of them, Hayes then kneels down on one knee, lowers his head to both of her hands held in his hands and says outloud, "I, Hayes, son of Shadow, promise to love you with all of my body, heart, and mind. I promise to protect you from danger, to make sure that you're never hungry, to give you beautiful and gorgeous cloths.. Uh clothes, to make you laugh, to make you happy, to respect you for the rest of my life."

Sheila's turn now. Annddd any minute now. My smile then falters when I hear her sniffling. Hayes, being the closest to her pales and quickly gets up to see if she's hurt, or worse, if she has suddenly decided to reject him. Seeing his ears going back and hearing his fretful whines, Sheila then softly giggles through her sniffs, "that was beautiful Hayes and I honestly didn't think I would marry in this world, but here we are. (Sniff, sniff). I, Sheila, from Earth, (to this word, confused mutters spread throughout the guests), also known as The Unique One's predecessor, (now gasps were heard) vow to love and respect you, Hayes, for all eternity".

Sniff, sniff, now her male is snot crying.. Ack, is this really a moment to cry about? Maybe I lack the emotional factor to this.. Anyway, let's eat!!
