"Remember you?"

Aiden chuckled sadly. "I knew you wouldn't." he sighed. Lauren just stood there, dazed. "Am I supposed to?" she spoke after long moments of silence. "No, I wasn't important to you, anyway." he groaned. "I was just a friend." he added, hoping she'd believe him. Lauren nodded, confirming that she actually did.

"Anyway...are you alright?" she asked him. He glared at her for a second and coughed again. "I'm okay, but this is not." he replied, putting his hand over his chest, the area where the heart was located. "It hurts..." his voice turned soft until it became a whisper. She frowned at his words and ran off to get a doctor, but he caught her by the arm just in time.

"Where are you going?" he inquired with a mixed tone of slight irritation and surprise. "I'm calling a doctor, of course!" she cried, worrying like crazy. She had never felt like this for a pretty long time. "Are you stupid, Lauren? I'm saying that I'm mentally hurt. Not physically." he huffed before letting go. The pressure he put caused pink marks to appear on her skin.

A little hurt and embarrassed, a small smile tugged on her lips as she shuffled back outside. She was welcomed by her friends once she reached her room. Nil immediately darted towards her and handed her a paper envelope, saying, "Got this from that possessed dude when you were asleep last night. Sorry I forgot to give it to you." with an apologetic expression.

And of course, she forgave him and tore the envelope open after Nil left. Inside was a piece of paper with the words "Sorry for earlier. I was in a horrible mood." on it. Her eyes were glued to the neat handwriting while she thought of how her dad would always do this after every argument they had when he was alive. Fury started to erupt out of her again, like on the day of his funeral.

I hate the fact that a merciless asshole is on the run in town while I'm here lying in bed, being his victim's daughter, doing nothing at all.

Evening came, and all she did was lie in bed with thoughts racing across her mind. "I must inform the hospital about this." she thought to herself and went for a discussion.

"But your injuries aren't healed yet, young lady."

"I know, sir. But I really need to do something important! I'm begging you, sir...please?"

The man shrugged. "If you insist. But the fees?"

"Oh yes, the money. I'll transfer that later on. Do I have to fill forms or anything?"

"Yes, please come this way."

As expected, Belle, Paul and Nil were extremely shocked to find out. "W-Why? It's only been 2 days, Lauren!" Belle queried, doubting if she could even walk properly. But Lauren's determined eyes depicted how she was willing to do what she really wanted. Her 3 roommates shared sad looks before saying their goodbyes. "Maybe," Lauren said. "We could meet up again one day if we have time!" she beamed, hoping to cheer them up.

Belle's face instantly lit up. "Ah, sure!"

"Definitely! Let's go to the coffee shop near my house, it's really popular for its drinks."

"Alright, will be waiting!"

Afterwards, Lauren directly went to the police station. "Officer, anything I missed? I was hospitalised." she hurriedly explained. "Yes, we found something interesting. Here it is." he answered with a lot more patience than she had. The object was a beautiful necklace with an unusual blue crystal as its locket. It was so bright that she could see its glow even in a lighted room.

"We believe this belong to the criminal. What do you think, Ms. Hart? Have you seen it before?" the officer questioned just to make sure. "No, it probably belongs to that guy." she confirmed without hesitation. "Can I take a picture of it, though? I might need it." she asked and received an obnoxious stare from him.

But he later agreed to let her do it, satisfying the young woman. She reached home in complete silence as the gloominess written on her face grows more obvious each minute.

"Rival companies, yeah..." she thought out loud. Just then, her door bell rang, dragging her away from her musing. Who could be there at a time like this? Her boss? But he knew she was at a hospital, didn't he? Guessing who it was, she clutched the door knob open at quite a slow pace.

"Hey."

"H-How did you know my address?"

"Stalked you online."

"Huh?"

"Chill, I'm kidding. And I know what you're going to say next. I'm here because of you. Your existence."

Lauren flinched. "What are you talking about?"

"Aren't you going to let me in?"

"Oh, right. Sorry. Come in, A-Aiden. It's okay if I call you that, right?"

"Yeah, we're...friends."

As she invited him inside and they sat on the couch, Aiden explained why he was really here. "The thing is," he started calmly. "I just...I just wanted to be with you. That's it. That's all you need to know. Anyway, I'll cut to the chase. Let's go to the flower fields. You probably know what I'm talking about, right?" he sheepishly continued with his tone getting softer every second.

"You wanted to be with me? Why?" she asked for a response, confusion lining her tone. He dodged her question by pulling her towards his car, leaving her speechless. "Wait! How do you know about my dad's flower fields?" she insisted halfway to their destination.

That was the moment it hit her.

She punched him in the side teasingly. "How did I not remember? That same messy hair, those fiery eyes...J-Jay, it's you, right? Say sike right now." she blurted, barely even breathing properly. "I don't know, am I?" he chuckled at the sight of her expression.

"The world really is a small place, huh?"

"Mhm, now we're he- woah...they changed a lot, didn't they?"

A series of fading memories flooded back to each of their hearts as the vast flower fields came into their view. "Hey, we used to hide and play behind those tall sunflowers!" Lauren beamed with pleasure from remembering the scene. "Our 4 feet asses..." the brunette boy retorted along. Bright smiles tugged on both of their lips as more old scenes washed over their minds.

"And by the way, could you call me by my real name only when we're alone?" he hesitantly requested. "Sure, I guess? Why'd you change it anyway?" she queried, her feel subconsciously shuffling closer towards him.

"You'll see when it's time. When I'm ready."
