Annabeth bit the end of her pencil. Writers block. She hated it of course but she couldn't do anything about it. She sighed in defeat. Grabbing her coat, and locking up her office. Grabbing her phone from her pocket, shoving headphones in and into her ears.

Swiping through her albums, finding something to listen to. Coming across the album she was scared to listen to. A blue logo saying "At Sea, At Last." It's been a year since it came out. She needed to man up.

She turned it on. The first song popping up as Grenade. She heard his songs over the radio but actually just turned it off.

When he went on a tour, she was going to buy tickets but knew he wouldn't stay. She didn't want to see him because she knew, she would still be stuck on him and she didn't have time for that the realization.

She didn't see where she was going when she bumped into a man, spilling coffee all over him. She ripped the headphones out. Starting to apologie and searching through her bag for napkins.

"Annabeth?" A mans familiar thick voice rang through her ears before she finally looked up.

"Percy." She gulped. "I'm sorry about bumping into you. What? What are you doing here? Shit, I should be getting you napkins. Not asking questions."

Percy chuckled. "It's fine, I don't need napkins. Went mostly on the ground anyway. I drink too much coffee anyway. And to answer your question, I just moved here actually. Moved my parents and my nephews too." He rubbed the back of his neck.

Percy's appearance had slightly matured. No more piercings, his hair was styled, and a black morning shadow beard. His eyes pierced bright green, and he actually wore decent clothing. Jeans, converse, and a blue v-cut T-shirt with a black jacket.

"What? Really? What happened to Cali?" She smiled, getting caught up in his eyes.

"Wasn't for me I guess? I tried it, i got an album and half and well I'm actually writing music here now and playing with my roots of coffee shops and bars with concerts of course. What about you?"

"I'm actually a chief in editor now! At the New York Times. It's been great."

"That's good, Hey, completely weird question but are you available tonight for drinks? At my place? I'll even cook dinner." He stuffed his hands into his pockets. "You know, to catch up."

Annabeth bit her lip. What could go wrong? I mean she was still stuck on him. "Sure. Just text me your address and I'll be there around 7. Same number."

"Same number for me too." He chuckled. "Well I'll see you at 7, then."

"I'll see you at 7."
