《Irondad and Spiderson One Shots》Hibernation

Summary- When it gets to cold for Peter, things might change. Will Tony know in time how to help his kid.
(Peter's P.O.V)
The wind whipped wildly around me, the coldness biting bitterly at my skin. With every gust of wind, along came the bone chilling coldness that swooped down with it. My fingers and toes were slowly growing numb as the snow dropped down from the grey sky.
Happy was meant to pick me up, but he said the snow and ice caused a lot of issues. So i had no choice but to walk back home. Part of me wishes i had asked my dad to try get me, because then i wouldn't be partly freezing to death.
A shiver ran down my spine as i neared the tower. But with every step i took i could feel my energy being slowly sapped away from me.
I pulled my coat a little tighter around me as i blew out a little puff of air. A cloud seems to leave my mouth with every breath i let dissipate into the icy air.
I push the doors open to the tower with a cold hand and shake off all the snow and ice that has slowly collected on me.
Even in the warmth of the tower, the cold seems to attach itself to my skin and steal all my warmth as yet another shiver passes from my body.
As soon as i step foot into the common room i shrug my coat off and walk tiredly to the empty sofa. I grab a blanket and place it firmly around my shivering body, hoping for some heat.
(Tony's P.O.V)
I hear someone come in from the elevator and walk out to see if it was Peter. A deep frown is etched onto my lips as i see Peter laying down with a blanket firmly on top of him. What worries me though is that his nose and cheeks are flushed bright red and he seems to be shivering.

"Petey. What's wrong?" I ask as i walk toward him.
He opens his eyes and looks to me before replying, "cold, nd, m'tired."
I sit beside him and pull him into me to try and give him some heat. In return he moves closer to me, stealing all my heat, not like i mind though.
"Why didn't Hap pick you up?" I question, my voice a little on edge as worry sweeps through me.
"He couldn't. Icy and snowy." He says, a yawn accompanies him at the end showing how tired he is.
"How long have you been this tired?" I ask, trying to determine if i was thinking the right thing.
"When i started walking." He mumbles, head rested against my reactor and his eyes shut.
I hum and run my hand through his hair as i think over things. I remember reading somewhere that spiders can't thermoregulate and if it is cold enough they could go into hibernation. I look down and see Peter nearly asleep and feel my heart beat pick up in worry.
"Peter wake up." I say firmly, knowing he needs to open his eyes.
I can hear Peter groan and then he lazily lifts his head and opens his eyes to look at me.
"What?" He slurs out, obviously tired.
"I don't want you to go to sleep. If you do i don't know how long it'll take you to wake up. I don't think you can thermoregulate because part of you is a spider. So keep your eyes open." I say sternly, knowing i need to try and get him to understand.
His eyes widen as he nods and keeps his eyes firmly open.
"FRI, turn the heating all the way up and get someone to make Peter a hot chocolate and bring more blankets." I instruct her as i keep my grip on Peter tight.

'Yes Boss.' I hear her reply.
A few minutes Nat walks in with a steaming cup of hot cocoa and a stack of blankets. She frowns when she sees Peter and hands him the hot chocolate.
"What's wrong Pete." Nat asks as she drapes the blankets over both of us.
"Too cold, and nearly went into hibernation." He explains, his voice still sounding tired but already he seems more awake.
Without another word she sits beside Peter, making sure to give him even more heat. I smile knowing i have the best family ever, and know i can always trust them to help me protect my kid.
Nat looks to both of us and says, "Movie?"
I see Peters eyes light up, seeming to wash away his drowsiness as he nods quickly.
"Star wars." Peter says, looking between me and Nat.
I roll my eyes playfully and then ruffle his hair.
"Star wars it is." I say, and need no command as FRIDAY starts to play it.
