《Irondad and Spiderson One Shots》Wheezing breaths of a goodbye

Summary- When a fire starts, and the building starts to collapse, what will happen.
(Peter's P.O.V)
I look around the building we are in, my senses starting to grow.
"Dad, we need to get out" I suggest, starting to panic slightly at the feeling of something about to go wrong.
He turns around and looks at me, he is about to say something when he sees the panic on my face.
"Okay Pete" He says seriously.
Just as he is about to get into his suit, the building starts to shake. Without thinking twice i jump forward, tackling my dad to the floor and covering his body.
I can feel the explosion rock the building, heat consuming us and debris falling all around us. I can feel my suit being singed and the fire starting to lick at my skin. I roll of dad, hoping i kept the worst of the burns and fire away from him.
"You okay kiddo" My dad asks, his voice already sounding a little breathless from the smoke all around us.
I take in a shaky breath, trying not to cry out when my ribs protest in pain.
I groan but reply "yeah dad. I'm fine, you".
"Better than you" He replies, trying to lighten the mood, in return i chuckle a little, but instantly regret it when my lungs scream and my ribs rattle.
The smoke seems to grow thicker and the fire stronger. I look around and see our things scattered everywhere, i spot my mask next to the door, if i had it, it could filter the air. My senses start to go off again and before i can react the ceiling starts to fall all around me.
"Da-" My voice is cut of when something hits my head.
-
"Petey, wake up please" I hear someone say from beside me.

Cracking my eyes open, i see darkness that is lit by an orange light, it takes me a moment to realise it's actually a fire.
The smoke is stinging my eyes, making tears fall- or is it something else.
I take a moment to think about how i feel, my limbs feel like lead, my head feels likes it's breaking and cracking open with every heartbeat.
I look down at my body and whine tiredly when i see a piece of metal cutting through the whole side of my stomach.
"Dad" I cry out, starting to feel the pain it brings.
I feel his hand grab mine as he cries slightly and says "Yeah baby, i'm right here okay, i'm going nowhere."
I feel him move closer and then he is carefully moving my head to lay on his chest. Tears fall down my face as the heat starts to close around us, lungs fighting against the smoke and dust slowly filling them.
"Iron man?" I ask quietly, blood dripping down my face and out of my mouth.
I feel my dads arms around me tighten a little as he says "I'm sorry, i can't get to the suit".
I shut my eyes and take in shaky breath, already knowing our fate.
"We gonna die?" I ask, my voice barely heard over the sound of the fire and the building collapsing.
"I don't know Petey. I really don't know" He says, voice cracking and hoarse. I can feel his lips come down and him kissing my head.
"You okay?" I ask, wanting to know if he is really alright.
I can faintly hear him sigh as he replies "Not really bubba, but i'm better than you. How are you?"
I lay my head more into his chest, letting a little of my energy out as i whisper just loud enough to hear "Hurts".

I can hear his light cries that he tries to muffle as his hand lightly runs through my hair, which is dirty and bloody. "I know Bambi, it'll be over soon though alright" He says, his voice sounding sadder than ever.
The blaze around us nears with every passing second, taunting us of the outcome that will be sure to unfold soon.
The pain seems to grow stronger and stronger, gripping me and trying to pull me away from reality and away forever. I keep fighting against it, not yet ready to leave.
I try desperately to keep my eyes open, and not allow the darkness to swallow me down. But it's hard, it is so hard. Looking at the crumbling ceiling that is soon to give out seems to drain my hope.
I let out a whimper of pain, hating how weak i feel. My dads hand on mine tightens and quietly he says "It's okay Bambino, you can rest now".
I choke on a sob, feeling relief settle within me. Both dad and I are crying as i whisper "Thanks dad. I love you".
I feel his hand back in my hair, another kiss to my head as he replies "I love you too Pete. I'll be okay bud, you can rest now".
I let my light grip on his hand drop and let my eyes slip such, finally allowing myself to succumb to the perilous darkness.
(Third Person P.O.V)
When Peter's grip on Tony's hand fell and his child let go. Tony cried. Sobs ripping through his throat as his child lies limply in his arms, slowly bleeding out.
Tony knew soon he would be joining his child though, just waiting and praying for it to come, not wanting to be in such a dark world without his baby's laughs, smiles and rambles. He just couldn't do it.
So when the building started to collapse, Tony smiled, kissing Peters head and holding him close, ready to join him.
