T.W- Could be triggering to some.
(Third Person P.O.V)
Time is such a peculiar being. When you want something to happen, time slows down. When you want something not to happen, time speeds up.
Time is a cruel mistress.
At least, that's what Peter Parker thinks.
As he stood there on the top of a building. Staring teary eyed out onto the darkening skyline of Queens. Lights flashed wildly in the distance, early party goers off to have fun. Taxis and people flew by, no one noticed him, oblivious to the teen standing wearily on the ledge. All Peter could do was stare out, at seemingly nothing, yet everything at the same time.
He looks up to the clear sky, stars painting the darkness. In time stars where created. The ones brighter than the darkness around them, who fought for their happiness. Conquered their darkness and became a star in the night. Brighter than the rest. That's what Peter wanted. But time stopped him, wouldn't allow him to.
Time has been cruel to Peter. Not because it has made him look old, no it's the opposite. Peter Parker at the small age of 15 has been through more than most in his time on this planet.
The last straw sadly being his Aunt. They got told she had a few months to live. Within what felt like seconds those months were gone and Peter was well and truly alone.
People told him he would heal with time. Yet he is still waiting. Praying time would speed up and save him from his thoughts, drowning him in self pity and thoughts no one should have to deal with.
Yet it goes so, so slow.
Everyday he wakes up hoping maybe today is the day he will finally be alright. Be able to be happy, truly happy. But within seconds he knows it's not. As people would tell him. He needs time.

Standing on the ledge looking distantly out all he wants is for it to end. But he knows he can't. No matter how hard he wants to he knows it would break Tony, his adoptive dad.
Time is a cruel cruel aspect of life that everyone must deal with. Some more than others know how much time damage can do. Whether it is saving a life, waiting to see someone, waiting for life to start, spending time with people or just a bad day, time is important. Peter Parker knows this most. For time is the reason he lost his last blood relative.
It's worrying how time somehow slips through your fingers, people have moved on, people have left you. People have died. That's how time works. It will rip you to pieces and carve into you with the things you have missed or are going to miss. It will rip everything you love away from you and hurt you in so many different brutal ways.
Peter now knows this from his first hand experiences.
He steps of the edge and catches himself on his web, swinging back to the tower. Ready to repeat the process tomorrow, to see if time is on his side and will allow him to move on with his life and to finally be happy. Until then he will wait, the slow and painful wait of time.

Archaic Avalon
Set in a medieval fantasy setting. The story branches out, initially following Astor Jacobs on his journey throughout the newly established continent of Mayland. Growing up in the tragedy of war, Astor attempts to return to a normal life while discovering his true future. The purer concepts of magic are utilized by few with ancient knowledge scattered across the world. A world where hints of the ancient past is obscure and dispersed, but continues to be powerful and influential. With tribes of different magical races dispersed regionally across the globe. A story about rediscovery, culture, and the legacy left by past generations. [18+] A blend of Dark and light themes. Mature content will vary as close to realistically suitable for the time period. The first few chapters are heavily action orientated, but this is not the main focus.

Sanguine
The Coles are probably the definition of a small dysfunctional family, even if they weren’t the worst in existence; they would probably be lauded as an example of the term. The Coles were a small family though. The father, Oliver Cole, was an asshole ex-football jock who bounced around in small paying jobs after wasting most of his life drinking, drugging and whoring. The daughter, Stacy Cole, was smart, but had many issues including anger, trouble with authority, and occasional suicidal thoughts, and was kicked out of many a school for disruptive behaviour. The son, Mike Cole, was innocent, and tried his best to be kind to anyone and everyone, however his own speech impediment, and slow nature only aided people to bully and belittle him, including his own father. The Coles were indeed a dysfunctional family. At least they were, until they got to the small town near the border between the United States and Canada, Sanguine. Welcome to Sanguine. You will stay. With the exception of the first chapter, each chapter only follows one character. The first chapter is the only chapter in which I will include 'Sides' where it follows a different character. This is a short Lovecraftian story, it won't go above seventeen chapters. Note: the book cover is my first attempt, it might not even remain like it is, I was just tired of seeing the standard 'no cover' thing on it.
