《To Be A Dad (Irondad and Spiderson)》38:Fixing the Mess

Jarvis took a deep breath before knocking on Tony's hospital door. He heard a soft come in, and he almost wanted to cry with how different Peter's voice sounded. He remembered seven-year-old Peter, the little kid who loved to bake cookies with him, who needed help with homework or just wanted to play games.
He wonders just how much he truly missed. He took a breath before entering, smiling slightly when he caught Stephen's eye. "Jarvis?" He turned and nodded to Peter.
"Hello, Peter." Peter ran up to him, hugging him tightly. Jarvis smiled softly and returned the hug. "I'm sorry it took me so long to reboot. I woke up just an hour ago to install new things." Peter nodded against him but wouldn't stop crying.
Stephen came over and patted him on the shoulder. "I knew you would wake up someday." Jarvis chuckled and looked back down at the teen in his arms.
He then turned to his father. "Will he be okay?" Stephen shrugged. Walked back over to his husband's side.
"His prosthetic chest was knocked out of place, a bunch of broken ribs and we're afraid he might lose his sight or hearing," Stephen explained, sitting down and taking a hold of Tony's hand. "And we don't know if he will wake up. We're surprised that he woke up when we went to save him, the hits were hard enough to send him into a coma."
Jarvis sighed and nodded, still hugging the crying teen. "It's okay Pete. We'll help him." He whispered, trying to make it better for his little brother. Peter only shook his head and kept sobbing.
Jarvis promised he'd help his creator. He knew it wouldn't be easy they might not find a solution quick enough.

Jarvis sighed.
He was created to protect and serve Tony, then he was given the new task to defend and care for Peter if Tony no longer could. Maybe this is why he was brought back. Tony could no longer look after Peter, so he must do it.
He swallowed and hoped that maybe, Tony would live and he'd have more than just that purpose.
Peter was sent to bed around 11, and that left Stephen and Jarvis alone in the room. Jarvis kept thinking, wondering how he could fix this.
He then looked up at the doctor was staring at his lover, a worried expression on his face. He then looks to Tony, who had tubes in his mouth, bandages around him, keeping him together.
Jarvis closed his eyes. There has to be away. "Sir has a 60% chance of waking up in the next month. He then has a 50% chance he loses his hearing or sight. I say we let him rest, maybe his body will heal while we fix things."
Stephen nodded, getting up to place a soft kiss on Tony's head. "Let's start fixing things up then."
Stephen left while Jarvis got closer to his creator. "I'm back Sir and I'm here to stay." He spoke softly, feeling more sick when heard the irregular heartbeat that belonged to Tony. "Please wake up."
Jarvis felt like he let Tony down. He didn't work fast enough to get back online, he didn't even wake up when he saw what they were doing to him. He had tried but he couldn't, not until after they were done beating Tony up.
He wondered if this is how Tony felt.
____
Jarvis decided to work on the Avengers case. He worked on getting better rules for the Avenger team, he worked for the accords for weeks before he had a good start. He then started recruiting once the accords went through. He of course went for Rhodey and Stephen first.

His second stop was to Hope Pym, who had agreed as long as she could talk to Scott lang. Jarvis then recruited Captain Marvel, who he had met through Fury. Soon he had the Guardians who had come with Thor, Loki, and bruce.
Jarvis thought he had a good team going, and he had a lot of things done.
The only thing he wanted now was for Tony to wake up. He spent four months working and now he wants Tony to see, and be proud of him. But with every passing day, it becomes less likely that Tony will wake up.

Ancient Bones: The Changed Ones book 1 (Post-Post Apocalypse LitRPG)
Is it truly an RPG Apocalypse... if no one can see the RPG? Generations after the Fall, Mankind has achieved a balance in a world it is no longer the master of. But your prospects in this Malthusian world are limited. Johanna Milton and her friends have an answer: delve into Ancient ruins, avoid Changed beasts and mana pockets, and salvage Ancient materials, collectibles, and trinkets to sell. It pays well if you avoid the perils of the Ancient world. But when they find the skeleton of an Ancient, their lives take a strange turn. Suddenly, Talents straight out of fantasy novels become theirs. While they try to make sense of what happens, eyes turn to them, to the four who seem to break all rules. Or are they merely following them? Because, in the Beyond where he's spent 150 years waiting, one dead Ancient knows the truth. Douglas Moore has played those games often enough when he was alive to make sense of the System that rules the Changed world. He can no longer act on his own, but he has access to the Interface. And four people for which he can bring whatever it takes to face the world. Change is coming. The Changed Ones is a slow-burn litrpg fantasy trilogy (Ancient Bones, Ancient Books, Ancient Bonds) set on Earth, 150 years after the RPG Apocalypse... which mostly failed. It is an homage to the venerable ancient RPGs of the Golden Box era, the Baldur's Gates, and many others, offering adventure where You must gather your party before venturing forth. Keywords: LitRPG, realistic setting, low-leveling, post-post-apocalypse, fantasy earth, slow-burn, secondary POVs, female primary MC, team adventure, worldbuilding. Trigger warnings: casual swearing, adult innuendo (no explicit scenes whatsoever, though). Oh, and potentially a bit of politics. Bonus content: a Litrpg Easter Egg hunt. With lots of eggs across the book, some easy, some hard to find. Current score: 6/20 (20 eggs, 6 found) Publication schedule: on hold until September for book 2.

The Loyal Ones [Dark Biopunk Fantasy]
TLDR; A slave monster survives horror, war and servitude, while trying to live with himself. Thralls are a race of monstrous slave soldiers, in a universe where biological magic takes the place of technology. Centuries ago, their ancestors were desperate humans, who volunteered to be transformed for the Poison War. Today their unfortunate descendants are still soldiers and laborers. In contract law they are 'corporate wards'; slaves owned largely by arms dealers. Dally Harper starts this story as a champion cage fighter. He is one of the 'lucky' ones. It's all downhill from there. Content Warning: Explicit violence and gore, slavery, implied sexual assault. None of these are framed as positive or glorified, however they do have a strong impact on the plot and main characters.
