NOPOV
Peter sat down in his room at Pepper and Tony's lake house, staring at his phone as a bunch of messages from Ned popped up. He couldn't help but chuckle a bit when he saw they were all about the snap and how he was describing it.
"Petey...?" A small voice said through the door and before Peter could ask who it was, a young girl with small brown hair and big bambi-brown eyes hesitantly poked her head through the door.
Peter stared at her for a couple of minutes and sighed, showing a small smile and beckoning her to come closer to him. The young girl quickly ran and threw herself at Peter, letting out high pitched giggled as peter caught her and threw her up before catching her again.
"Why hello Morgan it's nice of you to pass by, how may I be of service to you..." Peter said sarcastically and Morgan giggled, playfully slapping his arm to stop him from tickling her.
"Mummy said dinner is ready and no she will not take 'be there in a minute' for an answer because you never turn up!" Morgan pouted and crossed her arms, giving Peter a stern look which reminded him so much of both Pepper and Tong combined when they were mad, well trying to be.
Peter forced a small smile, ignoring the nauseous feeling he felt in his stomach. He picked up Morgan, holding her against his hip as he walked out of his room, going downstairs and placing Morgan in her chair at the dinner table.
Pepper placed a plate in front of Morgan and in front of Peter, giving the boy a stern yet gently look meaning he had to eat all of it. Peter sighed and slumped in his chair, watching how Morgan was happily eating her cheese burger and fries so easily.
"P-Pepper I..." Peter started but Pepper just looked at him, shaking her head to cut him off whilst she continued with her meal and work.
"Petey?" Morgan asked once she had swallowed the bit of food she was eating, probably the be polite, Peter thought.
"Yes Morgan?" Peter said as he hesitantly took a bite of one of his fries, waiting to see what Morgan was going to ask, not at all prepared.

"Why do you call daddy 'Mr Stark' and mummy 'Pepper'? Your my big brother so that means it's ok for you to call them mummy and daddy like I do! Daddy said he always waited for the day you called him dad!" Morgan said as she happily munched on her cheese burger, not noticing her mother widening her eyes and Peter dropping the fries he was eating.
Peter suddenly felt sick and blinked rapidly when he felt tears gathering in his eyes.
"I-I'll be back in a moment..." he said weakly and quickly stood up, running back to his room before Pepper could protest.
'It's ok to call them mummy and daddy'
'Daddy said he always waited for the day you called him dad'
Peter curled up against the wall of his room and started sobbing into his hands quietly. He didn't know how long he was in that position but he knows it must have been a while due to the frantic knocks that were coming from the other side of his door.
"Peter... Peter it's Pepper... I'm coming in..." Pepper said in a worried tone as she forced the door open, giving Peter a sympathetic look when she saw him curled in a corner on the opposite end of the room.
"Oh honey..." she sighed and walked over, sitting on the floor next to him and pulling him into her lap so she could comfort him. Peter sniffled after a couple of minutes and melted into the embrace once he felt pepper rub his back soothingly.
"What Morgan said was true Peter... Tony did want to be here for the day you called him dad.. but he did see you as a son so what Morgan said was true.. you can call him dad and I would be delighted if you called me mum but only if you are comfortable..." Pepper said soothingly and Peter slowly lifted his head, nodding shaking as he wiped the tears from his eyes with the sleeve on his sweatshirt.
"Come on... I'll heat up your food again and I will not take 'I am not hungry Mrs Stark for a answer young man..." She said and Peter showed a small smile as he stood up with Pepper, going back to the kitchen where Morgan was sat there happily munching on some sweets Pepper gave her for afters.

"Petey!" Morgan yelled happily and leaped off her chair, bouncing over to Peter and hugging his legs with force. Peter stumbled a little bit picked up Morgan when Pepper gave him an encouraging smile.
"Hey there Mo.. you going to share some of them sweets with me?" Peter asked with a cheeky smile and Morgan just giggled and shook her head.
"Mummy and Daddy say sweets are only for good children who finish all of their dinner.. when you finish your dinner then you may have some of my sweets Petey!" She giggled with a big smile which caused Peter to smile to as he slowly put her back down in her chair before going back over to his.
Pepper watched happily as Peter started eating his food with no problem until he had finished. She let out a small chuckle when Morgan happily passed some of her favourite sweets to Peter.
"Why thank you Mo.. I'm glad that your willing to share.." Peter said with a small smile and Morgan returned the gesture with a much larger smile before running to his side once again.
"Your very welcome Petey! Mummy said if I'm very polite then many people will be nice to me but Daddy use to say I could be as polite as you to encourage me to do so!" Morgan smiled and Peter frowned a little, picking the girl up and sitting her on his lap.
"Oh really? Well your daddy was a very smart man who could be a pain in the neck..." Peter mumbled which caused Morgan to giggle, shaking her head at what Peter had just said.
"Daddy was the best and I loved him 3000! But I love you 3000 too but don't tell daddy because he will get jealous" Morgan said with a big smile and Peter couldn't help the tears that started to gather in his eyes when she said that.
Pepper smiled sadly and walked over to the two children, sitting next to Peter and wrapping an arm around his shoulder.
"Now that's very nice of you Morgan and your right, daddy would get jealous wouldn't he? Why don't you go up to your room, me and Petey will join you soon to play a little..." the woman said softly and Morgan nodded, giving peter and her mother a hug before jumping down and running to her room.
"I...I nearly called him dad once you know? We were in the lab one day having fun and I got hurt... nearly calling him dad while he helped me clean up but, I always thought he would be angry and reject me if I ever saw him that way... but with what Morgan is saying about him always mentioning me when I was gone I regret not letting it slip..."
Peter said and a couple of tears fell down his cheeks as he rested his head on his hands.
Pepper sighed sadly and brought Peter close to her side, rubbing his back softly.
"You may have not got the chance to call him dad in front of him but that doesn't mean you can't do it now while you are here with me and Morgan... you are apart of our family you and May, so that means he was your dad too.. you just didn't want to accept it until now..."
Peter started crying into Peppers shoulder.
'He was your dad too'
Peter had too many close people come and go, his real dad, uncle Ben, and now Tony. He cried for another couple of minutes before following Pepper up to Morgan's room, smiling softly when the young girl started rambling on about her toys and how Peter must play with her.
"I'll always protect her and Pepper Dad... I promise.. I just wish you were still here..." Peter said quietly that night when he was putting Morgan to bed but he swore he could imagine Tony smiling at him right now, the comforting feeling of the man ruffling his hair and saying 'it's ok kiddo' in the softest voice he had used in the last couple of months before the snap.
And that is what caused Peter to slowly close his eyes, dreaming of a different universe where he was with his family, Tony sat beside him talking about different iron-man suits as if the snap never happened.
