《Irondad and Spiderson 3》Cookie Carnival
Advertisement
Based on the old cartoon. Just look up on YouTube "The Cookie Carnival".
The Pastry Kingdom was abuzz with delight, as Tony, the Cookie King, was to choose who would inherit his Kingdom. Now, what was special about being a King in the Pastry Kingdom is that the heir is chosen, not by birthright. And so, Cookie King Tony was going to choose his based on great smarts, and he had to have fairly amazing attire so that one may present themselves well.
Now, no one knew what Cookie King Tony looked like, as he kept anyone from outside the Kingdom know what he looked like. So whenever he went outside, he would go out in regular but very lovely clothes with a cape. The guards knew his face, so everyone outside found it confusing why a random man was able to come and go from the castle. But the King was known to be a kind man, so no one really questioned it.
One day, Cookie King Tony has another one of his travels outside. This time, he was at the rail road, and was just whistling the day away, his boots thumping on the rail. He then suddenly heard what sounded like a young man crying. He looked around, and not too far from his side was a teen boy. As he got closer, he could see that the boy may have been fourteen, fifteen, maybe even sixteen. He had brown curly hair, was muscular, but still a little lean, and was of average teen hight. The boy seemed to be in rags, and Tony couldn't help but feel pity for the young man.
He then noticed a broken machine in a muddy puddle.
"That must be his."
Cookie King Tony then picked it up while the boy flinched, noticing the man he didn't know was the King. Cookie King Tony then looked at the boy with a gentle smile.

"Hello, young man. Who are you. And... I'm guessing this is why you're crying?"
The boy sniffled. He wiped his eyes then straightened himself up as much as he could. He knew that because of such lavish clothing, this man had to be of important status.
"I'm Peter. Peter Parker, good sir. And yes. That was an invention, but my prosecutors broke it. It was my best chance to show the King what I could do, even if I didn't have much..."
Cookie King Tony chuckled.
"I suppose I can help. I know a wonderful lab I can take you to. But first, let's take care of your clothes."
Cookie King Tony then looked around his sugary surroundings. He took whatever was in his surroundings and made it into Peter's new clothes...
Peter couldn't believe how he was dressed. He loved it with all his heart.
"Now, let's check and see how you'll do. Let's take this contraption of yours. Don't tell me what it'll be though, and don't let me see it. I want to be surprised."
"Yes, Mr... ah...?"
"Call me... Stark."
"Ah! Okay, Mr. Stark."
"Alright, this way."
Cookie King Tony then lead Peter to a lab, where Peter would then make his surprise invention. He then covered his invention with a blanket, placed it on a stand with wheels, and with Cookie King Tony's help, got in at the line, the last in line. Cookie King Tony quickly went back inside the castle and got into his royal garb. Meanwhile, Peter looked around. Where was Mr. Stark?
The judges then began to look into the items, and they were all amazed by Peter's invention, to automatically heal any impossible injury that were usually fatal. As though the injuries never happened. Soon, the information was sent to Cookie King Tony, and everyone readied themselves. Tony had a mask on and came out.

"So, your highness. Who will you choose?"
Cookie King Tony walked around a bit, and when he interviewed each person, a person that a judge fancied in particular, he would reject them.
Only one judge took an interest in Peter.
"Sire, what about him?
Cookie King Tony went to Peter, and was amazed by his idea. He then demanded that it be tested. A cookie citizen came forward with only one arm, and thanks to Peter's invention, the citizens second arm was back! No one in the kingdom could believe it! Everyone then gave a great cheer when Peter was chosen as the new heir of the Kingdom!
Peter was picked up, and carried to the castle. Cookie King Tony would then reveal his face to Peter, making him the happiest child in the world.
"No wonder you helped!"
"Yep. I'm amazed by your smarts, kid. You invention will be beneficial to the people, along with your kingship."
But before becoming king, Peter would for now be the kings son, Cookie Prince Peter.
Hoped you liked it! Next part of Power to come soon!

Cheep!?
Charles Monroe survived the disappearance of his parents, did his best to hold things together for himself and his sister. He survived when she, too, vanished, leaving behind nothing but a cryptic note. He was devastated, but he kept moving forward as best he could. Cancer didn’t put him down, and after suffering through several rounds of chemotherapy, Charles Monroe thought that things might finally be looking up. That is, until a virulent strain of ebola swept through the city. With his immune system strained as it is, the odds don’t look good for Charles. It claims that it needs his help and that it can give him a second life, one far away from all the pain he’s ever known. So, Charles answers as any reasonable person would. He says no. Charles isn't ready or willing to die yet. But, as with everything else to this point, even his choice to keep fighting is taken from him all too soon. With no other option but the dark oblivion of death, Charles chooses to make a deal with the spirit of a distant world that's seeking a wild card in its battle against the gods, monsters, and mortals that threaten its existence. Someday, he’ll find where his family went. Someday, he’ll uphold his end of the bargain and hunt beings powerful beyond anything he’s ever known. Someday, he might even – hatch? “CHEEP!?” Things to Know: -Cheep!? Will release on a minimum weekly schedule. -After a backlog of chapters, posting will slow, but in the interim you can expect a chapter a day up until roughly 25 chapters. -This story at times will potentially carry some heavy moments, but the tone is intended to be lighter overall. -There are invisible game-like elements in this story, but nothing so concrete as a dedicated gamelit novel. -I personally have some issues with anxiety, so I may or may not interact with the community a lot. I'll try if anyone has questions, but I can't guarantee that it'll be consistent. -MC is a non-human lead, and will never actually become human. Romance will potentially happen between side-characters, but not with the MC. -MC IS NOT THE ONLY VIEW POINT. I have to put that out there because people sometimes hate alternate PoV's in a story. None of them will be filler, and they'll be there only to give a little bit more nuance and meaning to the world that the MC has stepped in, or is about to be imminently important. I'll try to keep them down, but this also helps to prevent me from burning out getting trapped in one view. -Most of all, I hope that this story is enjoyable to you, and that you have a great time reading it! -Written by Michael Adams, Cowritten/Edited by Summer Kent

The Chromagnum's Sacrifice
Seventeen years ago, the Chromagnum fell from the sky. It's impact shattered the world, and brought the society to its knees. As humanity slowly pulled itself together, they realized that the Chromagnum brought with it a poison that corrupted the living. Abominations began cropping up around the crash site. Monsters with powdery black skin, and glowing orange eyes. Monsters who seemed hell-bent on consuming. Destroying everything in their path, the monsters swept eastwards towards the kingdom of Elendial. A war raged. And humanity crumpled. Retreating deep within their strongholds as the land became ruled by the corrupted creatures spawned by the Chromagnum. Then a leader arose, and humanity rallied. King Magnus drove back the slavering hordes and fought to bring peace to the land once more. However our story does not chronicle King Magnus’ rise to power. Nor does it detail how he collected the elites of the kingdom and forged them into the sharpest of blades. No. Our story tells the tale of young Ril Renar. An orphan. Alone, rejected by society. Ril travels across Elendial searching desperately for a family to call his own. Along the way he will find friends and struggle mightily to convince them to make a space in their hearts for him. Book 1 - Complete (0-30) Book 2 - Ongoing (31-) This story is a softcore progression classic fantasy with LitRPG elements. The story is about searching for family, love, loss, sacrifice, and of course power. The content warnings are mild.

The Emperor's Chef
"Cook like your life depends on it, kid. Because it does." Charles had an enviable future lined up for him. Training from the age of five by some of the finest chefs in the world. Schooling at a top culinary academy in the capital. An honorable position as heir to House Boulier, a line of merchant-lords who have charmed the rich and powerful with their cooking for centuries. And in a single night, it all burned to ash. When the outbreak of war destroys his hometown, Charles is charged with escorting his family’s sacred treasure—a recipe book passed down for untold generations—out of harm's way. But his simple mission grows complicated when he’s captured by one of the most feared battalions in the world: the Spears of Mercy. Life as a prisoner in their war camp is brutal and uncertain. Charles has few allies and even fewer strengths to rely on. Only his skills in the culinary arts, honed over a lifetime in the kitchen, are deemed useful enough to keep him alive another day. But he’s not out of hope just yet. With a dash of wit, a pinch of luck, and some very creative cooking, he might just find a way to recover his family’s legacy and take back his freedom. This project is a food-themed fantasy that centers on cooking and chefs. The setting spans a wide world featuring ingredients/recipes both real and inspired by traditional fantasy. I'll eventually be publishing it as a full-length novel (or series of novels depending on length). These are the first draft chapters. I'll likely be re-writing more than once, then editing before publishing, so impressions and feedback are quite welcome. If you like the story so far and you're interested in being an early reviewer for the final product, feel free to message me. I'm looking for an artist to make some concept art and a cover (the cover shown here is just a temporary placeholder). A stand-alone novel for now, but it may turn into a series down the road.
