Wing!Fic.

——-

When Mrs. Parker was pregnant, she and Mr. Parker couldn't have been happier. Friends and family all visited, and couldn't have been happier, and all had grand expectations. Both parents were doves, some of the best wings. But on the day Peter was born, they couldn't believe that their son was a raven. His black wings were out.

Now, very few doves cared for their raven children, but luckily for Peter, Mr and Mrs. Parker were the one of few. But ravens were hated by society, thought to be bad luck. So they hid their sons black wings, and went back from the hospital, telling others that his wings had to be cut off due to a birth defect, which was nothing new among their kind. There were plenty of wingless people.

So no one thought anything of it. They simply accepted that they had another wingless member of the family, and that was that. But that didn't make things any easier for Peter. While his parents cared for him, they were always busy, and never gave him affection. Not they would, anyway. Ravens were never given affection. And growing up, Peter was made fun of for not having wings. As he got older, he came to realize why he had to hide his black wings, and was unhappy.

His parents explained the bad rep ravens had.

"You are said to be bad luck." His mother told him.

"So if anything bad happens to you, it is because you are a raven." Said his father.

And Peter believed it. The bullying, the loneliness, and even the loss of family members over time, he blamed it all on himself. His parents were never mad at him for his "bad luck", however.

"It just happens when a raven has bad luck." Said the mother.

"You were born with bad luck, there's nothing to be done about it." Explained the father.

"We were ready for anything like this." They both said.

The only times Peter was allowed to let his wings out was to maintain them, or practice flight. Practicing flying was something to be done in private, so he was able to let his wings out. And back to affection, his mother helping him with his wing maintenance was the only affection he ever got.

Another day of high school, another day of emotional suffering. Okay, a bit exaggerated, but it wasn't far from the truth either. School was supposed to be an institution of education for the youth. But for Peter, while it did not fail in education, it didn't fail to be a disappointment either. The bullying would worsen, and he could only be thankful that he had friends.

Two doves: Ned and MJ. They were the only ones, besides his parents, to know about his black wings, and it was a relief for Peter. He needed the trustworthy companionship.

"Peter, I got a new Death Star! And the pieces are harder to put together, but it'll be worth it! This one is so detailed!"

"Awesome! I'll come over sometime! And no, we're not nerds!"

Peter knew, while MJ don't say it, she was definitely thinking it.

"Sure you're not. Let's get to class."

"Ayo, it's no-wings!"

Well, wonderful. It was Flash. The idiot was an eagle, much more powerful than the ravens and doves. He was pretty idiotic for an eagle though. And eagles were supposed to be intelligent and honorable. Flash was none of those things.

"At least he's not an eagle that fails to live up to being a successful one." MJ retorted.

Flash could only sputter and leave.

——-

"See you tomorrow, Peter!"

"See ya, loser."

"Bye, guys!"

As Peter began to leave, Flash quickly grabbed Peter, lifted the back of his shirt, and slashed his back. Well, that was gonna make it difficult and painful to get his wings out...

Peter got back up, covered his back, and moved on. Happy pulled in and Peter got inside. He waved goodbye until he couldn't see MJ and Ned anymore, and waited until the ride was over. He got out and went up the penthouse, preparing himself for the smothering love he would receive the minute he walked out of the elevator.

"Peter! Good to see you, buddy."

"Hey, Mr. Stark!"

"Tony, kid. Mr. Stark makes me feel old."

"That's kind of the point."

"Ha ha, kid. Now come on, the others missed you."

Peter saw the Avengers and ran to them. He tackle hugged everyone, even Bucky (not really, but Bucky purposely fell back for him). He got up as Bucky held onto him and picked him up. Natasha gave him a kiss, Pepper held his hand, and Clint rubbed his back. Peter couldn't be happier that the affection he was getting was making up for the lack of it from home. Tony then held up his arms and looked at them with a playful astonished look on his face.

"Hey! Where's the love for me?"

Pepper smirked and gave Tony a kiss.

"There you go. Now, Peter, head on up to your room if you need to rest."

"Thanks, Ms. Potts."

"Pepper, sweetie."

"Okay, Pepper."

Tony couldn't believe this.

"What!? She gets a Pepper, and I don't get a Tony!?"

Peter stuck his tongue out as he went upstairs.

"Screw you, kid!"

Everyone laughed and Peter went got into his room and hopped onto bed. He then let his wings out, as it was time to maintain them, wishing his mother was there to help. He took out a comb from his pocket and started to brush his wings. Its difficult brushing wings, especially with a comb, but combs usually were for the best results. He managed, and grew tired, even falling asleep right on the spot. After a few hours, he got up, took care of his wings a little more, and hid them in.

He was still somewhat tired when he left the room, so he wasn't fully aware of his surroundings. He was in the kitchen, when all of a sudden, someone yelled "Boo!". Peter screamed, and when everyone laughed, they all stopped when they saw Peter's wings. Peter, in his shock, had accidentally let out his wings. Peter realized, and began to cry. He ran out and Tony called out after him, but Peter ignored the call.

——-

Peter was at the very top of the tower, sitting as he looked out into the horizon. He wouldn't be seen up there, so he didn't worry about his wings. He then heard some noises, which he recognized as someone trying to reach the top, where he was. Peter could only brace himself for the rejection he would get.

"Peter! There you are. You spooked me, kid-"

"Just reject me already, Mr. Stark."

"What!? No!"

"What?"

"I said no. I'm not gonna reject you. Look, kiddo, I'm a raven, too."

Peter looked behind him at Tony in shock.

"You're a raven, too? But you don't have wings!"

"My parents were doves. When I came out a raven, my dad had my wings hacked off. Well, one of them. My mother saved the other, and painted it so that when I would one day fly, no one would know. Little did I know that red and yellow would be my trademark colors. When I became IronMan, I pretended to have two wings and made stronger ones around them. But no. Only one of them is real. My medal wing replaced my other one. Look..."

Tony then took off his shirt and showed a golden tattoo on his back...

Peter couldn't believe what he was seeing.

"This is where I labeled my wings, where it connects. This is what I use to help control my wings. It's pretty useful. Want me to make the same thing for your wings? I can protect them with iron wings."

"Y-yeah! I would love that! I would love that!"

"Oh, and, you have an injury on your back? Lemme fix that. By the way, who did it?"

Um..."

——-

"Okay, that takes care of that. Thanks for the help, Brucie."

"Not a problem. I'll be on my way now."

"Cool. Now, how about we head on back to the penthouse. The others think your wings are beautiful."

"O-okay."

Tony then wraps an arm around Peter and carry's Peter down with him to the penthouse. Everyone is relieved when they see that Peter is okay.

"Peter! Thank goodness!"

"Don't scare us like that!"

"Peter, I swear to god, I will kill you if you think we wouldn't accept you again!"

"We love you so much, Peter!"

——-

Ever since then, Peter was no longer afraid of his black raven wings, and neither were his parents. Upon revealing that he was a raven to his relatives, everyone was... well, unhappy. That is, until some said he ought to be like Tony Stark, and Tony revealed to the media not too long after that he was a raven himself. Needless to say, nobody was expecting that. Peter even did a surprise appearance the next day when Tony went live. And Tony couldn't have been happier when Peter showed up. Tony then watched proudly as Peter showed off his wings for everyone to see.

At the end of the day, Tony and Peter went to a distant area and enjoyed the sight they saw. It was beautiful. And Tony let's out his wings...

He looks back at Peter, and Peter's wings were out as well.

"Ready to fly, kid?"

"Yeah!"

I hope it was good! Second part of Power will come soon!
