Little Baby Pete!

Peter was in Kindergarten class when the teacher had a surprise for everyone.

"Everybody, guess what?"

All of the little one listened.

"We are going to be raising baby chicks!"

Everyone cheered.

"Now, here are the eggs."

Another adult then came in with the eggs, and the children grew very excited. Peter was the most excited, as he couldn't help but get up in order to get a closer look. The teacher then picks Peter up and Peter takes a good look at the eggs.

"Wow! Will they be chicks soon?"

"Yes, they will. We just have to wait."

Peter would then later be picked up by Tony, and he would excitedly tell him about the eggs.

"They will be chicks soon! That's so cool!"

"Sounds cool, kiddo. Who knows what it will be like when they hatch."

Peter would go straight to the incubator every time he got to the classroom, smushing his face on the warm glass. The teachers would always find themselves amazed by how patient Peter was, as long as the little chicks took. But after many months of waiting, the chicks had finally come.

With permission, he was able to come to school early and make it in time to see them hatch.

"Look daddy!"

"Yep, I'm looking Peter."

The one of the eggs began to crack. The little chick that finally got out fell on its back.

"Oh no! The baby! The baby chick. Mr, Rose!"

"Don't worry Peter. It's just tired. Breaking out of an egg isn't easy for a baby chick."

"Oh. Is he gonna be okay?"

"Yes, Peter. He'll be fine."

After many days, it was finally time to bring the little chicks out.

They mostly followed Peter around.

"Why are they following Peter?"

"Because they saw him first. They think he's their mama."

Peter laughed when he heard that.

"I'm a mama!"

Parents were then invited, and they all found it amusing, including Tony, that Peter was the little baby chicks mama. They would follow him around wherever he went, and he took him job as a mama seriously. He would play with them, sing them songs, even read them books. Well, to the best of his ability.

"Give them away!? No!"

"Sorry Peter, but chicks belong on a farm."

Peter felt like he was going to cry.

"Now hold on!"

A woman then walked in.

"Within the program, if paid for, one of the chicks can be kept."

Tony was then called and sure enough, by the time Peter was home, he now had a pet baby chick. The little chick would follow Peter around, which Tony would record whenever he had the chance. The Avengers found it adorable as well, even Natasha couldn't help but try to hold in her squeals until she was alone in her room. Black Widow doesn't squeal in front of others.

But then, after a few months, Peter accidentally stepped on his chick.

"Oh no!"

The poor little chick didn't make it and Peter felt guilty.

"But I'm the baby's mommy! I can't hurt him!"

"It's okay, sweetie! It's not your fault."

Pepper and Tony were doing what they can to cheer him up. Tony then had an idea.

"Hey kid, ever heard of chick heaven?"

Peter would then think that his little chick was forever eating his favorite bird seeds with a lovely home forever... until he became thirteen.

"AAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!"

"OH GOD, HE REMEMBERED!!!!"
