《Troubled // Irondad》12

3 days have gone by and Tony still hasn't found out where Peter is. He's barely slept and only ate when someone came to give him food. He's been working non stop in the lab to find a way to find Peter.
Every time he thought he was getting somewhere, it just led to a dead end.
Then, "Sir, Ned Leeds is at the front door. He states he is Peter's best friend. Should I let him in?"
"Yes Friday let him in the lobby," Tony said wondering what he was doing there. He made his way to the lobby as quickly as possible to meet Ned.
"No wayyyyy," was the first thing Tony heard when he stepped out the elevator. "This is so cool, you're so cool wooowww."
"Peter's friend, right?" Tony asked, masking his stress.
"Uhhh yeah yeah. Guy in the chair, that's me," Ned said, looking like he's seen Jesus.
"Guy in the?- ok never mind, why are you here?" Tony questioned.
"To see Peter, I wanted to make sure he's ok. He hasn't really talked to me since his aunt. Just told me he was staying here," Ned said, getting worried for his friend.
Tony didn't reply right away. He didn't know what to say. 'Sorry Ned your best friend got kidnapped and is probably going through hell right now and I have no idea where to find him?' That would be horrible to hear.
"Sorry Ned I-" Tony started to turn the kid away, but he was interrupted.
"Wait was it you who answered his phone when I called him yesterday?" He suddenly remembered the odd phone call.
"No..." Tony said realizing that Peter's phone must be on, which is extremely helpful. "Ned I'm going to tell you a story, don't freak out."
Tony told Ned what happened to Peter while taking him to the lab. Ned obviously didn't process the 'don't freak out' part because he freaked out at basically every word Tony said.
Then they entered the lab and Ned's mouth dropped wide, "this. Is. So. COOL!"
"Ok sit down and don't even think about touching anything," Tony said pointing to a chair.
Ned sat down and asked, "did you try tracking his phone?"
"Did you try tracking his phone?" Tony mocked with a dumb expression, "of course I tried tracking his phone."
Ned just shrugged and Tony began thinking out loud. "But if he's still able to get calls then the location signal is probably the thing that's getting blocked. Hey," Tony slapped a piece of junk metal out of Ned's hand, "call Peter and keep whoever answers on the phone for as long as possible. I can get around the blocked signal as long as your phones are connected."

Tony hooked Ned's phone up to a computer and began typing away. "Call him," Tony said while handing Ned the phone.
Ned found his number and clicked on it. Then the ringing began
——————————————————————————————————————————
Peter was awake, staring blankly at the dark ceiling, when someone interrupted his thoughts. The door swung open and he heard his ringtone.
"Two minutes Parker," said the man, answering the phone. He set it on speaker and laid it next to Peter's head on the hard, cold metal table.
"Peter?" Peter smiled from hearing Ned's voice on the other side.
"Hey," Peter whispered. After all his screaming from the horrible stuff happening to him, his voice gave out.
"You ok? You don't sound to good," Ned asked, concerned. The man watching Peter gave him a death stare and Peter knew what he was to say.
"I'm doing ok," he whispered, sniffling a little.
"You just haven't been answering and with everything about your aunt, I'm so sorry Peter she was such a great person, I'm sorry," Ned spoke kind of fast, but sadness was clear in his voice.
"She didn't deserve it," Peter choked out, tears welling in his eyes.
"Yeah I know man, I know," Ned spoke softly. "Hey whenever you're up for it, you can come over to build this sick new LEGO set I got. It's 5,000 pieces! Wild, I know. Anyways I need you to help me with it, you know I get LEGO blind easily and you have to find the small pieces."
"Yeah I'll help you," Peter's voice was barely audible. The man told Peter it was time to wrap up the conversation, "I need to go Ned, I'll see you later."
"Yeah yeah totally. Oh wait MJ says hi too and sorry about aunt May," Ned added on.
"Bye Ned."
"Alright later Peter. Take care of yourself I really mean it. I-" the man grabbed the phone and hung up, stalking out of the room.
Ned set his phone down and looked over at the side profile of Tony. He hoped he did his job and kept Peter on the phone long enough.
Tony suddenly stood up with his fists in the air, "YES!" He yelled. "Ned go home I'll have a car waiting outside for you. I'm gonna go get Pete, thanks." Tony went to suit up and left his lab as quickly as possible.

Ned left feeling happy with himself for being able to help his best friend out of a dangerous situation.
Once Tony was flying through the air he sent the rest of the Avengers Peter's location. He spoke through the intercom, "meet me here. Leave now. Peter's there."
Tony was ready to fight anyone who got in his way, they deserve the worst for what they did to the kid. Soon enough he landed in front a seemingly abandoned warehouse with a look of anger behind his iron mask.
He began shooting at the metal door with his repulsers, knocking it down within seconds. Tony began his way into the building and almost immediately came to encounter many men in all black with big, high-tech guns.
Nothing intimidated him in that moment, the only thing on his mind was getting Peter. Shortly after his team joined him in the entrance.
"Tony?" Steve said. Tony didn't turn.
"Take out anyone in your way," Tony stated then began the fight. He fired the first shot at the guy closest to him.
He began going forward again with his repulsers repeatingly charging up and firing, hitting everyone in his aim. Tony heard gunshots all around him and all the Avengers, besides Thor and Bruce, fighting.
Tony ended up in a hallway with 2 doors on both sides. He slammed the first one to his right open, no one was in it. It seemed like a room for training and combat. Next, he went to the first room on his left. Natasha was now standing next to him when he kicked the door. It seemed like a lab with lots of important information.
"I'll take care of this, keep going," Nat said turning Tony around back to the hallway.
Steve and Bucky met Tony as he exited the room. "Tony take the second door on the left, Bucky and I got the other one." They split up to room across the hall and knocked down the doors at the same time.
Steve and Bucky were welcomed in the room by having guns pointed at them. "We're looking for a Louis Bass!" Steve announced. Louis stepped out from behind a computer.
"The Avengers, welcome to my home," Louis held his hands out and smiled.
"Shut up," Bucky growled then swung his metal arm, making contact with Louis.
Tony stood in the doorway, stuck in shock. He had to kick himself out of the trance. "Shit kid, what'd they do," Tony said mostly to himself running next to Peter's side.
Tony was horrified. Peter was barely conscious, his eyelids half way shut and his head moving to face Tony. The kid didn't show any reaction to seeing the hero. Peter thought he was hallucinating, it would happen eventually from everything he went through.
"Friday tell me his injuries," Tony said stressfully. He was ripping off the metal cuffs around the kid's wrists and ankles while Friday spoke to him.
"Peter seems to have a severe concussion, two broken ribs, several incisions, 7 to be exact, 4 of them infected from a poor closing, he's experienced much blood loss, delusional and nauseous, and skin on his ankles and wrist need medical attention."
Tony saw Peter's stomach and lifted his face plate up. It was bruised with dried and new blood everywhere. He saw the sloppy stitches also and tried to keep a relaxed face to not freak Peter out.
"Hey buddy, I'm gonna get you out of here ok?" Tony said softly looking down in Peter's eyes. He was finished getting the kid's limbs free.
"Mr. Stark?" Peter's voice was barely a whisper and cracked when he spoke. "You're really here?" A few tears began falling down the small boy's face.
"Yeah I'm here, you're safe now," Tony spotted a shirt and slowly put it on Peter to cover his wounds.
"Tell aunt May I'm- I'm ok," Peter practically begged. Tony didn't reply, it pained him to hear Peter say that.
"I'm going to pick you up, it's gonna hurt but you'll be better soon. You think you can do it?" Tony asked, still trying to seem calm.
Peter just slightly nodded and Tony put his mask back down. He picked Peter up as carefully as possible and the kid whimpered from the movement. He probably would've been screaming if his voice had all been there.
"I'm sorry kid."
