➰The spook➰
Hoseok cleared his throat to gain everyone's attention the day after. The lads were all gathered up in the living room doing their own thing and Hoseok had an utmost important crisis on his hand, literally. "Okay, which one of you gave me this fucking creepy doll with a note saying 'feed me'? So I'm like a mama to a doll now? Is that it?"
"What are you talking about?" Namjoon settled the book he was reading down to make an eye contact at the other.
"Don't you all start playing dumb with me. I know you one of you are pranking me to make me scared so fess up! Who gave me this?" The male raised up a freaky looking doll with white colored skin and two big buttons for eyes, a few black threads stitched up on its body. "I saw this lying beside me when I woke up."
"Yeesh, I understand why you're overreacting. If I see that first thing in the morning, I'll probably get a heart attack cause of death." Yoongi shivered slightly and looked away from the material.
"It's like a voodoo doll, I don't know about you guys but I wouldn't even know where to buy this shit. So count me out of it." Taehyung raised his hands up, shaking his head.
"Hmp! As if I'd believe in your words! If nobody's confessing then good luck cause I'll be praying Krampus will haunt you for the next Christmas." Hoseok huffed heavily and threw the doll inside the trash and dusting his hands after.
"Breakfast is ready!" Jin shouted from the kitchen as they all sped up to have their breakfast. As they were all accumulated at that certain area, the oldest took the privilege to ask. "Who's gonna try and tell Jimin to have breakfast with us?"
"Why don't you go hyung? You're the one who thought of it." Jungkook rolled his eyes, wanting to have his breakfast already.
"Because I am preparing the dishes for your lazy asses. Jimin hasn't eaten anything heavy for a few days, he needs to come and eat."
Yoongi sighed and decided to volunteer himself since he was technically the boyfriend. "I'll go. Just stop bickering so early in the morning."
"Good, now hurry up before the meal goes cold." Jin instructed while setting the food at the center of the table.
"You don't have to, I invited myself."

Shocked, they all turned their heads over to the male who just spoke. They saw a boy wearing an oversized hoodie and a wide smile on his face. Yoongi missed seeing him like this, it's been days since the 'incident' and he's glad that the younger already got over it.
Jimin skipped to the empty seat beside Yoongi while humming a soft tune. "Why do you all look surprised?"
"Are you okay now? Do you still have nightmares? Please tell me and let me take care of you. I'm worried about you Minnie." The older softly muttered and brought their hands together, caressing his skin with his thumb.
"I'm fine already see? Now let's eat breakfast!" Jimin smiled and reached out for the waffles and bacons placed in front.
"That's good to hear Jimin!" Taehyung grinned watching his best friend munching and enjoying his food.
"Are you really sure you're okay now Chim? We have a few medicines here if you're still not feeling well." Jin asked worriedly and was about to stand up to get the container where they kept their capsules.
"No I'm fine! How about we hang out after we eat like the old times? Let's play and have fun!"
They all went quiet as the oblivious happy boy stared at them. Namjoon scratched his nape and stuttered. "U-Uh, Jimin, I'm sorry but Jin and I have work shifts today. We can't."
"Me too baby, I'm looking for work, sorry." Yoongi flashed him an apologetic look and lifted his hand to stroke his cheeks.
"And today is our cleaning day. Jin hyung told us to clean the whole dorm."
Seokjin sighed while ruffling his brown locks. "It's Sunday tomorrow and there's no work for all of us, why don't we just play then yeah?"
"But I want to play now!" Jimin shouted furiously, voice changing momentarily but none of them noticed. He stomped his fist on the table making the eating ornaments jump at the impact. His eyes were slowly turning darker the second, "Play with me."
"Minnie—" Yoongi tried to calm him down but the younger already pushed back his chair and walked off. The table was awkwardly silent after he left and nobody didn't know what to do or say.
"Hyung, is Jimin hyung a little?" Jungkook suddenly asked out of the blue.
"I don't think so... He may act childish and very innocent for his age but I don't think he's up to that extent." The male furrowed his eye brows in confusion, Jimin never pulled a silly tantrum like this for such petty things.

"Well good luck trying to calm him down." Hoseok shrugged, continued to dig into his food deliciously.
"Let's just hope he's back to normal tomorrow." Taehyung uttered silently.
➰➰➰
Namjoon was on his way to the bathroom after a long tiresome day tutoring Mrs. Han's kids. It was for advance lessons for the next school year when summer ends this month. He sighed and looked at his reflection on the mirror only to find something odd smeared into the glass. There was red paint on it that somewhat looked like a handprint that of a kid's. The younger's must've been goofing around earlier instead of cleaning.
He shook his head and touched the stain thinking how the hell will he clean this mess. "Oh shit." He softly cursed when the part he held created little crack marks around it. It freaked him out. He knew he was, as his friends call him, the 'god of destruction' but this was just way out of it, way way out of it. "Am I superman with some crazy super strength shit?"
"Namjoon? Who are you talking to in there?"
Namjoon paused and replied to the older who was at the other side of the door. "Uh no one Jin hyung, I was just muttering to myself."
"Sure. Hurry up, the others are waiting for their turn."
"Yeah, I'll be quick!" As soon as he erases this stain on the mirror.
He turned his head back to the mirror after averting his gaze and his heart almost stopped beating when he saw the word 'SAVE ME' carved in big letters beside the red handprint, written in a bad writing that was similar to a child's. Why was this here? It wasn't here when he saw the paint. Did he just miss it out and didn't notice it? But that's impossible, something like that would be noticeable in a second. Well now it was safe to assume that he's in a dream, that or he's losing it.
He bit his quivering lips and scraped the surface lightly, making sure that what he was seeing was real. But to his surprise the mirror suddenly exploded out, breaking into shards all over the room. He crouched down while screaming, lifting his one arm to protect his face. He just barely touched it and it collapsed! There were too many questions on his head and he needs answers. This wasn't scientifically possible at any rate.
A second later, the person closest to the room came rushing in to check the incident. Though it wouldn't be a surprise to them knowing Namjoon can get really clumsy at times. Seokjin saw the younger male crouching on the floor with broken glass everywhere and his arm was bleeding mildly. "What happened here?"
"H-Hyung! You won't believe this! There was a— where is it?"
"Where's what?"
The red paint handprint and the carving was gone. The mirror might've been broken but even so you'd still see some parts of it but not even a small fragment was visible. Where is it? Was it just his imagination when he saw that? But what he saw seemed too real to be just an illusion.
If he tells Jin what he saw, he would probably only think he was playing around, it was pointless. He needs to figure out if what he just saw was true or just his plain imagination. Or maybe his mind was just messing with him. Yeah, for now he'll just stick to the bright positive side until he finds a logical answer to his craziness.
Jin raised his eye brow curiously at the male who paused mid sentence. "A what?"
"Uh nothing..."
"Nothing? You're excuses are getting lamer Joon. You're bleeding in here for nothing?"
"Well you see," Namjoon straightened his back and winced at the wound on his right arm. "I accidentally threw the– the tube of toothpaste on the mirror, yeah, and it kinda just bursted."
"A toothpaste... did this?" He received a skeptical look from the older.
"Yeah, crazy right? I mean, it wasn't my fault! This mirror is really fragile, really fragile. We should get a better one." The younger one awkwardly laughed while scratching his neck with his other hand.
"Uh sure, just go to Hoseok and tell him to fix that wound of yours. I'll clean up here okay?"
Namjoon nodded his head and muttered an apology after. Right, it was just an imagination.

Dungeon Core Chat Room.
This is a slower-paced "experiment and dungeon building" web novel that tries to use the idea of peer-to-peer communication with Dungeon Cores instead of Dungeon to slave monster communication to break up the detailed dungeon building. Rank 1 description: (minimum met for system initialization...detailed description as follows) Each race was given a system by the gods to make up for their shortcomings and balance their place in this world. Humans: Abysmally bad at understanding and using magic unable to use more than the lowest of magic were given the "Skill System" magic in the form of premade skills with use, study, and mastery tied to experience. Elves: Intuitively understand magic and have long lives leading to vast knowledge and skill in their chosen fields. However, as a species, they have nearly zero sex drive and less than low fertility, so they were gifted the "World Tree System" with experience gained through the care of natural areas – gifting the chance of children to increase their numbers without dirty copulation. All “natural” or “wild” monsters are given an "Evolution system" designed around killing and consuming as many creatures as possible, slowly increasing strength and, at thresholds, allowing mutations to alter them multiple times. Dungeon cores are different. Unlike humans, they can see, manipulate and live off mana. Unlike Elves, they naturally crystallize after extended periods of time in high mana level areas. However, they cannot easily move or communicate and typically go insane without companionship. As a species other than the odd eccentric they are unimaginative. Brute forcing solutions without the drive to truly innovate. Thus they have been gifted with the "Dungeon Connection System" a magical version of the internet accessible by their peers that allows them to barter and sell: bait, traps, monsters, and knowledge, as well as entertain each other with “adventure streams” using exciting recorded battles and humorous reels of arrogant chumps biting off more than they can chew to often fatal effects. This is the casual story of a dungeon unluckily spawned far from potential adventurers forced to innovate beyond its peers to find its place in this world. Rank 2 Description: Justification. I've been on a dungeon core kick for months and while I love the genre – it's sparse with entries. Often the forced conflict gets repetitive and frantic solving of threats "power levels" the protagonist to god levels to progress the plot – taking away the nice steady progression fantasy I'm looking for. (Progression in this story is linked to how strong of monsters/traps/whatever he can create not his "level"...this is demonstrated by some of his newer monsters beating his older monsters not with discrete "this monster has 10 attack this one has 40") Additionally, the focus on 3rd parties with their drama takes away from the reason I’m reading dungeon core novels in the first place – I'm looking for magical crafting, experimentation and kingdom building – not defence from higher and higher levelled enemies looking to steal/destroy/control the MC. This novel is kind of just me writing the story I wish I could read. I like thinking about the experimentation that can be done in fantasy settings using 'mana' as an excuse to make up rules and try to keep them internally consistent. IE once I define how a rule works, I'm going to commit to keeping it – no breaking hard truths I've given when it's convenient, even if it backs me into a corner. Hopefully, that should make the story interesting to read even if it's SOL and less action-oriented. There will be problems to solve and a clear progression in strength (of created monsters and knowledge) however due to not wanting to force conflict for the sake of conflict the general theme will be closer to slice of life with few action sequences and no overarching goal so please keep that in mind when picking this up as the genre is not for everyone. Finally, I have a clear goal of what I want from this story (not an endless romp but a series of arcs and then a conclusion that's a couple of dozen medium-sized chapters long) I want to commit to finishing it or at least bringing it to a point of rest. I hate all the engaging stories that stop with a “hiatus” indefinitely so in the event I lose motivation I'll work to end this even if the ending becomes rushed/unsatisfying just to give a sense of closure. I’m planning on including several polls in terms of direction and taking feedback heavily into account if I get enough readers (but may choose to ignore it if it deviates too far from the direction I want to take this as in feedback like: “The MC needs a cartoonishly evil arch-enemy that wants to enslave him and force the mc to pump out magic items” or “the MC needs to make a body and learn teleportation then live with humans” will get shot down without consideration.)

Skinwalker / War Chief
A System Apocalypse Fan Fiction I started reading Litrpg about two years ago. I fell in love with Tao Wong's System Apocalypse series. He is an excellent writer and I loved his world building, but when the second series arc went elsewhere It kind of lost me a little. I wanted to create a little parallel world that was very familiar to his fans but skewed off in a different, darker direction. If you haven't read Tao's work, you're missing out! Look him up on Amazon and read The System Apocalypse. One of the best in the genre.

Familiar: The Laen Chronicles
After a brutal accident that causes him to lose his memory, Ian's life takes a strange turn. He sees things that aren't there and keeps having these strange dreams of the days leading up to his accident. That is until everything he thinks he knows about the world is turned upside down. After all, magic is real and always has been. In a world where everything is unknown, follow Ian as he grows his strength and comes into contact with the various forces ruling this new world. The Laen, an organization that seems to want to rule everything magical, and the Fasurus, spirit-like creatures who have been suppressed far too long. Note: This is the first book I have written. I would love it if you could leave a review, no matter how horrible, that could help me do better in my writing. The beginning chapters are a bit slow, but if you can get past that, there is a chance you'll love it. Happy Reading.
