《Hex [h.s]》Chapter Seventy

"Harry." He looked up from staring hard on the floor, his eyes softening at the sight of me. Ever since those unknown people came to the house and accused Harry of something wrong, he has been distant lately. He wouldn't stay close to me and usually he would not be in the house. I thought he said no one tells him what to do? Why is he paying heed to that female's words? From the way I see things right now, I knew my thoughts are correct. No matter how high he thinks of himself, he still answers to somebody. But today is different, from what I have heard from Grace.
Today is his mother's birthday. He's home.
"Are you okay?" I ask in concern, sitting down beside him on the bed. He nod slightly, not saying a word. To be honest, it bothered me. Harry is usually, well, busy. If he isn't busy glaring, he's busy yelling at random people or instructing them. Seeing him being silent is just, off.
"You can tell me whatever is bothering you." I push on further, placing a hand on his shoulder. When he didn't respond for a minute, I pouted. "Come on, I'll tickle you if you don't answer me." Harry sighed and pull my hand away from him once I made a move to tickle his stomach. "Go and bother someone else Lucinda, I'm not in the mood."
"Really? I don't believe you." I accused playfully and poke him in the chest. He groaned out in frustration, "Just go Lucinda." I shook my head, laughing at his plight as I continued to poke him around. "I'm not leaving until you tell me." He turn to stare at me with huge curious eyes. I took his hand and place mine on top of his, I smiled softly at him.
"You know, you look so far off sometimes."
"What?"
"You stare at space for a every long time. You seem so close to the dark and you like it. I expect that look coming from a soldier to war, not a man like you."
Suddenly, the walls that were carefully placed between us, the barrier between us crumbling. Seeing each other's flaws through the crumbling invisible barrier. Harry's eyes expressed wonder and curiousness, which you would expect from a little boy and not from a grown man. A demon, that is. But that spark in his eyes was short livid as it turn to something dark, like what his soul really is. It scared me.
He took his hand away and gripped mine very hard, I knew there would be bruises on it if he grips it too long. "You act like you know me so well Lucinda. You act like we're lovers and that we should share each other's secrets. Tell me Lucinda, do you like me?"
The smirk on his face returned, this time it was devilish. "Do you want me to schedule a make out session for you? This week I'm booked, maybe next week? Monday?" I narrowed my eyes at him in disgust, trying to pull my hand away from him. "L-let me go Harry, please let me go!"

When he did, I slapped him. Hard. The wall between us is present once again, this time it is built and won't crumble again. I don't plan for it to crumble.
"Lucinda!" He roared, pushing me away harshly. I let out a yelp as I landed on the floor, eyes shut due to the impact of my fall. Slowly, I looked up in shock to see Harry's eyes wide, shocked as well. "Lucinda..." I backed away, making sure I am a few feet away from him. Away from the monster who decided to appear today.
"Don't." I croaked when he made a move to get closer, hand reaching out to me. "Don't get closer. Please." His eyes hit the floor, staring hard at it for a few seconds before shutting his eyes tightly."Get out." Seeing the hurt in his eyes, I was about to protest but he cut me off. "Get out before I could hurt you."
Angered by my sudden concern towards him and how stupid I actually looked displaying it, I stood up with a huff.
"Gladly." I spat out and stormed out of the room, cradling my arm as I walked down the hall. Once I was sure that he won't hear me, I sobbed out in pain and anger. Jerks! That's what all men are, jerks! Bumping into Niall, he held up both of his hands as I passed by. Not wanting to look him in the way, I let out a soft apology before continuing my way to the guest room. "Hey, you okay?" He called out but I didn't have to answer.
Reaching the empty guest room, I locked the door and fell to the soft comfy bed, belting out all of my anger on the sheets by fisting them. Who cares about him anyways, just leave him alone. My subconsciousness said, patting me on the head.
I groaned and wiped the unshed tears away, not wanting to waste them on pathetic uncaring jerks. That's when pain erupted on my stomach once again, I gasped loudly, shutting my eyes. Unlike the others I have experienced, this was the most intensifying. I rolled over and gripped my stomach, hoping to find a spot that'll ease it away. But it wouldn't no matter how many times I rubbed it.
Painfully groaning, I began removing my shirt as my skin felt like it was burning. What is happening to me? I let out loud shrill screams and pulled on the curtains on the window beside the bed, making it fall to the floor.
"Lucinda," I opened my eyes to see Harry standing over me. His face showed concern but I didn't miss the way his eyes landed on my bare top, my shirt already on the floor. Unable to bear the pain, I forgot all about his episode awhile ago and took his hand, squeezing the daylights out of it. "I-it hurts!" I exclaimed, shrieking loudly once another wave of pain hit me. I bit my lip.

Probably thinking that it is him who injured me, search for any bruises on my hand, "Where? Where is it?" I shake my head and gestured to my stomach, "I-it hurts here." He frowned and started to rub my stomach. Instead of disappearing, my skin began to burn like fire is slowly melting my skin. It only cause me to cry, sobbing loudly as Harry frantically try his best to get rid of the pain.
Sadly, it looks like he doesn't know how.
Then, it suddenly stopped. I let out a few shallow breaths, Harry looking over me in curiousness. "Are you alright?" I slowly turn to him, and much to his surprise, I nod. "It's gone."
"We should get her checked."
I groaned at Grace's suggestion, but in reality, I am afraid. One, the supposed doctor is not human. Two, I don't like to hear that I am infected by some unknown disease that came out of nowhere. Three, the doctor might kill me by applying weird stuff on me.
"No, I don't want to." I stated, catching everyone's attention. Harry frowned deeply, "What do you mean you don't want to?" I sighed and rubbed my arm in embarrassment, "I...I just...I don't want to." Harry was ready to yell at me for my stupidity not to have a check up due to my sudden pains, when the front door open to let Zayn in.
"Well?" Harry ask in impatience when it took too long for Zayn to answer. The black haired man scratched his head, looking at us sheepishly. "He's out of town at the moment. He said he'll be back tomorrow and check up on Lucinda."
"F.uck it." Harry hissed and shook his head, "When I don't need him, he's always pestering me. And when I do need him, he's f.ucking out of town!" I flinched at his venomous words and let out a gasp when he lifted me up into his arms. "Make sure to secure the house."
They nodded and Harry went up the stairs, leading us to the bedroom. "Harry, look I'm fine already. See? I am not in pain anymore." I stated, but my words fell on deaf ears as he continued to walk. I huffed as we entered the room, Harry setting me down on the bed.
I am hungry and I keep asking for food, but he keeps denying me. Saying that I probably got it from eating whatever food Grace served. "The ugly consequence of a human who eats too much, they get sick." He mumbled, removing his shirt and toss it to the couch nearby.
I rolled my eyes secretly, knowing if he catches me, I'm dead. "I see you." Damn. I bit my lip as I played with my hair, hearing my stomach grumble in hunger. "Why can't you just let me eat? Instead of dying due to this thing, I'll probably die due to starvation!"
"Quit complaining and just sleep." He grumbled, laying down beside me. "You'll eat after Alex is done with you tomorrow. Right now let's not risk anything."
"Who's Alex?"
"The doctor. He's out of town so the bastard will come here tomorrow to check up on you. We will finally know what your illness is."
"Is he close to you?" He sighs and pulled me to his cold chest, "No more questions. Just go to sleep, okay? It's nine o'clock already. You need rest." I nod.
"I'm sorry about your mom." I mumbled, drawing random lines on his arm. He let out a breath and nod slightly. To comfort him I leaned up to press my lips on his neck. But this only made my skin burn, but it wasn't painful like the last time. No, this time it's different. It's desire.
"Stop Lucinda." He groans as I nibble on his pale skin, sticking my tongue out to lick it. He let out a moan before climbing on top of me, eyes dark in lust. I grinned mischievously at him, biting my lip. He leaned down and capture my lips with his, making me moan at the feeling of his lips against mine.
I took his lower lip and bit on it, hard. He groaned, pulling me closer, the room suddenly hot. That's when I felt liquid sliding down my lips, I opened my eyes and saw it was Harry's blood. My eyes widen as I tasted it on my mouth. It was delicious.
I pulled down his neck and began sipping on the wound I inflicted on his lips, the liquid delicious and burning in my throat. I was shock when Harry pulled away, his face shocked, mirroring mine as well. His face shock that I suck on his blood and mine due to the lost of contact.
He ran a hand on his hair before sitting up, staring at me for a few seconds. "Harry..." I mumbled but he shook his head, "What is wrong with you?" He asked before storming out of the room without another word. Leaving me breathless, bothered, curious and furious. I let out a long sigh of frustration. My eyes wide in surprise on what I just did a moment ago.
I buried my face on my hands, brushing away a few strands of hair from my face. I shut my eyes and fisted my hands.
What the hell just happened back there?
