《Hex [h.s]》Chapter Forty-eight

"Earth to Lucinda, come in Lucinda. Lucinda!" I snapped out of my thoughts when Grace yell my name. "W-what? What did I miss?" I asked, and she sighs, before rolling her eyes. "You've been staring at space lately, what's wrong?"
After the second subject, we took a break. To pass the time, I just watch Grace draw. I didn't even know I was staring blankly at the wall, until she called my name. "N-nothing. I'm just a bit sleepy." I answered, yawning a bit.
It wasn't actually the truth, well I admit I'm a bit sleepy, but it isn't just about it. "Can you tell me about Matt?" I ask out of curiousity and to avoid the subject.
The question though, caught her off guard. "What? What do you want to know about him?" She wonders, "Are you falling for him or shit?" I couldn't help but laugh at the idea, "No, I'm not in love with him, just curious."
"Good, I thought you lost your mind for a moment back there," Grace laughs, before clearing her throat. "What do you want to know about the shithead anyways?" Yeah, what do you want to know about him? My subconscious asks.
"Um," I thought for a moment, before coming up with a question. "Why is he like that? Why is he such a bully towards me? I'm just new here, and I didn't even do anything to him."
"Well, news flash Lucy, he's always been like that." She scoffed, "He has been treating everyone like shit ever since. Even new ones."
"Is that so? Did anyone, or someone stood up to him once?"
"Well, there was one." She answered, "He lost a few teeth and his arm was almost dislocated." The thought alone made me want to puke. Who would do such a thing? Well, Matt and Harry.
"Well, enough about Matt, his name alone ruins my day." Grace says, "I want to know more about you." She smiles, and I laughed. "Me? You want to know more about me?"
"Yeah, of course! Well, what color do you like?"
"Blue, it reminds me if the ocean. White because it reminds of the clouds." I answered, "What about you?"
"Black," She shrugs. "I like it cause I can match it with any color. I'm not quite surprised that you like blue and white." I raised an eyebrow, "Really? Why's that?"
"Because, you're innocent?" She spoke, unsure. I almost rolled my eyes at the idea. Me? Innocent? How can you call a girl who burned down houses and killed a man innocent?
"No, honestly I'm far from innocent." I laughed, hoping she won't see my uneasiness. "Oh shut up! We both know you are!" She playfully scolds, I shook my head at her remark. She grew quiet for a few seconds, 'till she asked me another question.

"When did you dye your hair blonde?"
I frowned a bit, remembering the memory. "When I was in 7th grade. My classmates used to make fun of my hair, saying it was nothing special. So, I dyed it blonde, and no one tried to bother me again."
"What?" She exclaimed, "And you believed them? Trust me when I say this, I think you look hotter in brunette than blonde." This made me smile, "You really think so?"
"I know so."
"Thanks Grace." She nod, before giving me two thumbs up. "Don't mention it Lucy, after all we are friends." Friends? The word sounded foreign to me right now. Friends. My bestfriend died, my boyfriend betrayed me by almost killing me. Is there still such thing as a friend?
Now, here's a girl who wanted to be my friend, and I, who wanted to have someone to giggle with. Someone to tell my secrets and wishes with. And that's Grace. I can't help it but feel a bit emotional. It's been a month and a half that I had any friend to talk to.
I smiled, "Yes. Yes we are." I answered, trying not to sound like I was about to cry. But I guess it was clear in my eyes. "Oh my, are you going to cry?" She ask, shocked to my reaction.
I giggled, shaking my head. "N-no. Now don't be silly! I just got something in my eye, that's all." She laughed, "Now don't go crying on me Lucy." We both ended up laughing at each other.
"So, do you got any siblings?" It was my turn to ask. She nodded, "Yup, a girl and a boy. Mariah and Jeremy. How about you?"
I shooked my head, "No, I'm an only child. Which is both a blessing and a curse." She smirked, "I couldn't agree more. Being the eldest of the three sucks. I have to be responsible of them. Dad doesn't like me to leave them alone, while Papa wants me to have fun. I actually don't understand both."
I furrowed my eyebrows, "Wait, you have two dads?" Then, it hit me. My lips formed an 'O' shape. "I didn't know you have gay parents-" She cut me off by shushing me. "Keep your voice down!" She whispers, scolding me. "I don't want anyone to know about my gay parents, especially Matt. My parents are an embarrassment to me already, and I don't even want my list to be added. You got that?"
I nod, "So, what's the point of telling me if you want to keep it a secret?" She shrugs, "I don't know, I feel like I can trust you. Dad and Mom separated when I was ten, Mariah was six and Jeremy was three at that time. They split up because she found out Dad loves Papa more than her. Dad's name is Brandon and Papa's name is Kendall. What about your parents?"

"Well, my Mom and Dad almost separated." I mumbled lowly for her only to hear. "Why?" She ask. "Because Mom thought he cheated on her, so that's why we moved her. Turns out she only wanted to get away from him so she could flirt with any man. I love my parents and all, but my Mom is a pain in the arse."
"Forgive me if I say this, but your Mom, she sounds kinda...flirty?" I couldn't help but giggle, "There's nothing to be sorry for, because I kinda agree!"
When the bell rang, we both knew that the break was over. One more subject before lunch. As the teacher was discussing, I couldn't help but feel someone staring at me. I know I'm paranoid, but I always get this kind of feeling when I'm near him.
No, he can't be here right now. I know he says he'll come back for me, but I doubt it now. It's been two weeks.
When the subject ended, and the bell rang, signaling it was lunch, Grace grabbed my hand. "Come on Lucy, if we won't hurry we'll be last in line!" She exclaims, and I just followed her.
By the time we reached the caffeteria, the line wasn't that long. She released a sigh of relief, "We made it." She panted, "Usually, the line is so long and slow. That's why I hate to eat lunch here."
I looked back to see that the line was indeed growing longer this time. It took five minutes for us to get our lunch because like what Grace said, the line moves slow.
She groaned, "I practically blame the school for choosing those slowpokes to serve us our lunch." I nod in agreement, but right now, all that I'm thinking about is that where the hell we are going to sit.
I never imagined that Silent Mound High has a lot of students. I actually thought that there will only be eight students in each class, since I thought Silent Mound is a ghost town. Apparently, I was wrong.
"Come on, let's sit with Lyric!" Grace smiles, making me walk towards a girl who was sitting alone in a table which still had three vacant chairs. "Who's Lyric?" I asked, her face was a blur from here. "A friend of mine. You'll like her." Grace smiled before waving at the girl. "Hey Lyric!" When we got closer, her face became clearer. She was a brunette, she looked up when her name was called. Recognizing Grace, she smiled before waving at her. "Hello Gracie!"
Grace rolled her eyes, "Like I said, Gracie is too babyish for me. I'm mature now." Lyric giggled softly, "I know, sorry Grace."
"Anyways, Lyric, this is Lucinda Mackenzie. She's new here." Grace introduced. Smiling, I greeted, "Hello, nice to meet you."
"Nice to meet you too Lucinda. I'm Lyric Baldwin."
"Call me Lucy."
Grace clapped her hand, "Okay, now that you two know each other. Let's eat!"
"Oh god!" She moaned, I watch as she arched her back, her breast boucing in front of me, as she let out a silent scream. "Oh! Yes! Yes!" She exclaimed, I felt her nails digging on my back. "I'm so close!"
Right before she could even climax, I grab and twisted her neck, her eyes rolling back, and her naked body fall to the ground. I chuckled before I spit on her face angrily, pulling my pants up and zipping it before walking towards him.
"Come on Harry, you can't just fuck a random chick and then kill her." He groans, running a hand through his hair.
I scoffed, fixing my shirt and messy hair that the bitch keep pulling awhile ago. "You call her normal? She was a fucking banshee! You call that normal? It was obvious she wanted to kill me, wasn't it?"
"That's when she found out you were a demon, and she found you attractive." He grumbled, taking a drag of his cigar. "How long are we going to keep finding the Cheif's decedants? You know the blood moon is fast approaching."
"I don't know." I answered, "I can't seem to track them down. Oh, but I feel it. I feel I am so close to killing them, and I'll be human again!"
"But, what if you'll never be able to kill the last one?"
"That's a stupid question, why on earth would I not be able to kill the last one? I'm Harry Styles, nothing's impossible for a demon like me! We both know that!"
"Well, how about another question. When are you seeing this Lucinda chick again?" Lucinda. I smirked, remembering I still have a promise to visit her again.
"Soon. She won't even be suspecting it. I will come like a theif in the night, she won't know what hit her. She might even think I'm not coming back, but she's so wrong."
"And, if you two meet again, are you two going to fuck? Or..."
"Shut up, Niall."
