Lucinda's Pov
"Lucinda," he groans, my eyes closing when he starts kissing down my jawline and to my neck. A shiver goes down my spine, making me gasp when he starts sucking on my sweet spot. "Moan for me sweetheart,"he whipers, feeling his cold hand sliding inside the hem of my shirt.
Moaning, I pull his face up to press my lips against his, making him moan. The feeling of his lips against mine was indescribable. He pried my mouth open, our tongues battling for dominace, for power over the other. Which he won.
Breaking the kiss, I start kissing down his jaw, earning a soft groan from him.
But he soon stopped me lifting my head up by my chin. "Open your eyes Lucinda," he ordered, and I did. Green eyes were staring right at me, "Harry." He smirks, "Hey sweetheart," the next thing he did was lean in and kiss me again. I shut my eyes and I didn't want to let go.
That was when the feeling disappeared, I frowned. The quite atmosphere turned noisy, I open my eyes to see party ballons, all sorts of color. I turn to see little kids, ages around three to four, running around, holding ballons with smiles on their faces.
I looked to my right to see people eating under a small tent, they were smiling and waving at me. I just gave them a confused look.
Where am I? "Lu," a familiar voice called, eyes widening I turn around in shock. "R-Randy?" He smiled and ran towards me. The moment his arms wrapped around me, I felt my heart stop. "Oh Lu," he whispers, kissing my hair before letting go. I was frozen to my spot, his blue eyes were filled with happiness. There were no blood stains on his clothes or injuries on him.
"Y-you're alive." I mumbled in shock. He frowns before laughing, "You okay hon? Is their something wrong?" He questions, running his hand up and down my arm, as if it'll comfort me. Which did the exact opposite.
"Lucy! Randy!" We both turn to the same direction where the sound came from. I was even more shocked when mom and dad stood there. "Mom? Dad? What are you doing here?" I asked, confused.
"Lucinda, we came here to celebrate her birthday," mom smiled, I was confused as ever. "What?" I demanded, when I heard someone squeal. No, it can't be.
"Lucy! Hey!" Ruby waved at me, her mother beside her. I almost fainted right there. Why is Ruby and her mom alive? Am I dead? What the heck is going on here?
"Here she comes hon," Randy smiles, bending down and opening his arms wide, as if waiting for someone to hug him. That's when my eyes spot a little girl with brunette hair and blue eyes running towards us.
She was giggling when Randy hugged her, kissing her cheek. And that's when it finally clicked. "Say hi to mommy sweetheart," Randy says, the little girl smiled, waving her small hand at me. "Halo mommie," she drawled.

My eyes widen, I took a few steps back. "No, I-I am not your mommy," I stammered, this caused Randy to frown at me. "Are you okay hon? Why do you look so tense?" I shook my head, pointing a finger at him , "Don't call me that. Don't call me 'hon' or any other pet names."
Randy smirked, "What do you want me to call you then?" I cocked an eyebrow, "What?" I asked. He placed the little girl down, who happens to stare at me intently. It was freaking me out.
Randy walk towards me, wrapping his arms around me, "Mrs. Smith, how does that sound to you?" He playfully questions, kissing my cheek, making my skin crawl. "I am not your wife," I hissed. I was astound when he chuckled at my remark, I was hoping it would insult him, but it didn't.
That is when I caught sight of a familiar man over Randy's shoulder, I look over to see. He stared at us intently with his empty black eyes. My lips parted in surprise, "Harry," I mumbled his name under my breath.
"What?" Randy asked, Harry turned his back from us and started to walk away. "Harry!" I yelled, removing Randy's arms around me, but it seem futile.
"Stop struggling Lu," Randy laughs, grabbing my wrist while I strive to get away from him. "Let me go! I have to go after Harry!" I demanded, but Randy's grip on my wrist won't even budge.
"You belong here Mrs. Smith, with us. By the way, who's this 'Harry'?" Randy smirks. "No!" I screamed, "I don't belong here you moron! Let me go!" Anger was boiling inside of me.
"Harry!" I called out, but he didn't acknowledge me, instead, he continued walking away. I successfully pulled Randy away from me and ran to catch up with Harry.
"Harry!" I cried out, but he didn't stop. I let out a small shriek when my foot collided with something, making me fall to the ground. Looking up, I watch as Harry's figure completely disappeared from my view.
"Mummie," I froze, I slowly stood up before turning around. It was a little boy, but not just any boy. He had green eyes and brown curly hair. And from the accent in his voice, I already knew. He is just like him. He reminded me of him.
"Mummie," I stiffen when the little boy took one step forward. "I-I am not your mother," I suttered, "You must b-be mistaken little boy." He just stared at me blankly.
I gasped when the little boy's eyes turned black, "Are you sure?" A raspy voice asked, behind me. Two huge hands grab both my arms, turning me around.
My blood froze when my eyes stared back at two empty black ones. "Harry," I breathed, he cocks his head to the side. I can't even tell what he's looking at.
"Sweetheart," He lifted a hand, making me shut my eyes in fear. When I feel his cold hand against ny cheek, I open my eyes once again. This time when I opened them, I stare into forest green eyes.

He smiled, a dimple appearing, and to be honest, he looked cute. What the fu*k am I even saying? He leaned in and press his cold lips on my forehead, making my eyes flutter shut.
"Goodnight sweetheart."
* * *
Gasping, I open my eyes and sat up on bed. Sweat dripping down my forehead as the same blurry vision greeted me. I took a few deep breaths to calm myself down before burrying my face into my hands.
Remembering last night's events, I groaned. I still have to make up an excuse why Randy isn't here anymore. Groaning, I stood up and walk inside the bathroom, which it took long for me to memorize where it is.
I found the cold surface of the sink, and turn the faucet on. After splashing water to my face and towel it dry, I decided to practice what I am going to say.
Should I say that he left because he wants to visit his family? No, that is stupid. Mom might even call his parents, and ask if Randy visisted. Maybe say that he wanted to go away for awhile? That'll be a stupid thing to do too.
Why not just tell them the truth? They'll believe you. You just defended yourself from that bastard, and you happen to have poor eyesight. My subconscious mind suggested. I sighed, who's going to believe me anyways? Who would believe that I, tried to save myself from getting killed by my psychopath boyfriend, by stabbing him with a kicthen knife? No one even witnessed our fight, or the way he choked me.
I doubt my parents will believe me on this one. They think Randy is sweet and good for me. I rolled my eyes at the thought. Yeah right, he is good enough for me. I groaned, what am I going to do?
My mom wouldn't even believe me about Harry, dad is having second thoughts about my actions. I wish Ruby was still alive so I can consult her on this problem. I just don't know what to do anymore.
"Lucy! Breakfast is serve!" Mom yelled from downstairs, shit. "Okay mom!" I yelled back, standing up to leave the room. "Ow," I hissed when my head collided into what seems to be a wall. I went to look for the knob 'till I found it. Grinning triumphantly, I exited and slowly walk down the stairs to the first floor.
The first person to greet me was my dad, "Good morning dear, breakfast is served now at the table." Dad spoke in a cheeful voice, taking my hand before guiding me to the dinning room. I just smiled softly at him before sitting down.
I can hear mom whistling distantly, while I wait for them to ask about Randy, which I hope they wouldn't. Finally, it was time to eat, and just a few seconds, dad was the first to notice Randy's seat was empty. Here we go.
"Where is Randy?" Dad questions, "I haven't seen him at all, where is he Lucy?" I sighed before placing my fork down. "H-he..." Come on now Lucinda, tell them the truth! My subconscious yells at me, but I choose not to listen to it. Knowing I'm walking down a risk path, I have to choose the right words wisely.
"He what, dear?"
"He...left." Great, just great. Do you actually believe they would fall for thet shit? "Left? What do you mean he left?" Asked mom. I looked down, "W-we broke up, he didn't want to deal with me anymore." Oh, mom and dad you wouldn't understand. "I guess he grew tired of me." I muttered.
"That's funny, he was actually happy yesterday," dad uttered, "Did he tell you that right after we left last night?" I nodded. I was surprised that both of them sighed, they bought it.
"It's okay Lucy, you'll find someone better than him," mom spoke, "Besides, there are a lot of fish in the ocean, you'll find the man for you."
"It's actually kinda funny," dad mumbled, "We even agreed to drive you to Silent Mound High today for the interview, I'm surprised he backed out on you all of a sudden."
"What?" My jaw dropped, "We are going to Silent Mound High today and you didn't even tell me?" I raged, who wouldn't be angry if your dad just planned you to go to school without your knowing?
"I was going to tell you last night dear, " dad explained, "But we have to leave, I didn't have the chance to tell you. I thought Randy was going to tell you?" Well, he might have the chance to tell me, before I killed him. I sighed.
"No," I shook my head, "He didn't tell me. He said he was tired of me, he didn't want the relationship to go on, and that we will just be friends." I lied, "But I got angry and he just left."
"You mean he left, just like that?" Mom snaps her finger for emphasis. I mentally rolled my eyes at her. How many time do I have to explain this? I nodded.
"Yeah, but I am still not going to that school or any school in this town!" I exclaimed, "And why would you even want me to school normally when I can't even see a proper thing with this blurred vision of mine!"
"Well, you'll be in a special class, until your eye sight is back to normal." Dad encourages, "And, you'll be able to finish your highschool!"
I sighed, knowing there's no way out of this, I think I should just agree.

I Need Time
An action, adventure, mystery and strategy story about a strong male lead. Author note: First time author, good amount of buffer chapters (over 50k words) so I will not drop this book anytime soon. This book will mostly be from the perspective of the MC. On average +5k words will be published per week. I have not chosen some of the genres and tags as I do not wish to give away parts of the story. I added the content warning tags as there will come a time for profanities, gore and maybe "traumatising" content. Though, in my opinion the content will be mild if not light. *****SPOILER*****SPOILER***** Synopsis: A college ICT student transmigrates to another world filled with magic and learns magic from a dragon. MC uses modern knowledge to develop magitech technology. MC starts his adventure using the technology he develops! Saving princesses, fighting hidden criminal organizations, learning how horribly medieval peasants live, reasoning with uneducated narrow minded people, investigating the nature of magic and searching for gods... Story review: A fantasy/sci-fi story filled with some common cliches yet presents somewhat original ideas and a few unexpected twists & turns here and there. This novel also explores a few of the commonly ignored topics concerning medieval fantasy like hygiene, culture, education(ignorance, narrow mindedness) and the fact that everybody is short because magical crops cost too much. Modern knowledge in such a setting can often times revolutionize the world if the protagonist is not an idiot or weak willed or thinks something stupid like he should not intervene in a society that systematically practices unequality of opportunity, slavery and other nasty things, of course sometimes the protagonist can be just unlucky by being enslaved, etc. In our case we are granted a protagonist who had an initial stroke of luck, learning magic from a dragon instead of struggling for years without it or randomly dieing. After that his luck goes down the drain. It is arguable whether the princess is a good stroke of luck or not, I digress. Anyway the challenges the protagonist must face will grow and no more luck or helping hands. After gaining enough power and security the protagonist will change the world for the better or at least give it a stronge push onto the right track. He will make a lot of lives better but things are never so simple and there is much more to this world than meets the eye... Missing genres & tags: Fantasy, Sci-fi, Magic. *****SPOILER*****SPOILER*****
