《Hex [h.s]》Chapter Forty-four

I closed Randy's eyes with my hand. I can't believe that he's gone. He's gone. And I'm the reason why, but I was just protecting myself from him. That wouldn't be counted as murder, right? I look up and face the ceiling as tears roll down my cheeks.

All I did was protect myself from him, from my own boyfriend who instantly turned from sweet and caring, to evil and uncaring. I don't even why.

The devil can be anybody sweetheart.

Did Harry mean Randy is a demon too? That can't be right, Randy isn't a demon. Isn't he? I sighed before looking down at Randy's calm state.

"Randy," I choked out, placing a hand on his cheek. "I'm so sorry," I sobbed, "Please forgive me." I leaned down, pressing my lips against his for the last time. Standing up, I blindly walk up the stairs to find something to cover his body.

I went inside my room, an idea forming in my mind. I grab my duvet and went back down stairs. I walk over to his dead body and try to lift him up, but it lead to no success.

Carrying Randy's body isn't easy as it seems, I mean, the guy weights like two wooden boxes full of rocks. It's easier said than done.

After wrapping cloth around his body from head to toe, I decided to carry him out of the house and away from here. Watching his dead body stained with his own blood, was enough to make me cry again.

He was the sweetest boyfriend, it's like I had any other, and he was always there for me. Until, this happened today. I let my dumb self imagine he was Harry, what's worse, I mentioned his name.

I broke Randy's heart, making him think that I didn't love him, and that I would cheat on him any day because he was the most boring person in the world. Randy deserved better, he deserved someone who would love him with all her heart. Someone who isn't me. Someone, who wouldn't cheat on him.

And now, he wouldn't be able to meet that person, because I killed him. I killed him. Another tear roll down my cheek, I sniffed before wiping it away.

I went to find the mop in the kitchen, before mopping away a small puddle of blood. Even in this blurry vision of mine, the sight of blood is like neon, so eye catching.

After pouring floor cleaner on the floor and mopping, the scent of blood vanished. I used my nose to sniff any scent of blood, but there was none. Except the blood that still stains my murder weapon.

I grab the knife, that is on the floor, before tucking it in the cloth. I guess the knife has to be burried with Randy. I went to the kitchen and tried to fix everything that toppled over. Well, I did try, not bad for someone with poor eye sight.

Everything was all set, once mom and dad get home, they won't suspect a thing. All that I have to do is place a ladder up to my bedroom window. I walk over to Randy's body and try to carry him again, but it didn't work like the first try.

I sighed, it's impossible. So, I drag his body to the front porch and walk down the path to the backyard, where I know mom kept. Mom and dad did a great job of making me memorize each part of the house, so that I won't get lost.

I remember she used to ramble about gardening in the small backyard, how she bought gardening tools and a wheelbarrow. I think she wouldn't mind if I steal it for a moment.

Luckily, the backyard was lit, but unluckily, I stil can't see a clear thing. I held both of my arms up, letting my hands do the work of finding the wheelbarrow or maybe the ladder that dad kept.

The ladder was easy to find, since it's the only thing that is noticeable under the light because of it's shiny metal. I carefully lifted the ladder and look to find my room.

My bedroom is the only room that is lighted upstairs. I soon found the window and set the ladder there. Afterwards, I went back to find the wheelbarrow I'll be using.

When my hand found touched a cold metal surface and two handles to the rear, I knew I found it. Inside of the barrow was some kind of tool. I lifted it up, it was a bit heavy. I come to realize that it was a shovel, since there was still soil stuck to it's blade. Yes, this would do for the digging later. I successfuly guide it out the backyard and to the front porch.

I took a deep breath before carrying his body once again, walking slowly, and placing his body on the wheelbarrow. Now all I need to do is bring his body somewhere far from here and dispose it.

Pushing the wheelbarrow with a dead body on it isn't easy, especially you don't even know where you're going.

The air was cold, and the wind is blowing wildy. My hair flying everywhere, some covering my eyes making it even more hard for me to see where I am going. Damn, why didn't I wear a coat and tied my hair before I go? Right, cause I have to dispose my ex boyfriend's body.

Unwanted tears started to stream down my cheeks, I sighed deeply, continuing what had to do. I have to hide his body. I already have done a lot of crimes, because of some idiotic reasons.

I burned down Harry's house, and including some of the neighbor's house. Now I am hiding from the police, cause once they found out I started the fire, they'll put me to jail.

And it will get worse once they also find out I just killed a crazed man, when I am only protecting myself. But I know they wouldn't believe me, even my parents. They look at Randy like he's some hero. If they only knew.

I watch as Lucinda push the wheelbarrow, where the dead body of the bastard is. To say that I am shock that she killed Randy, even with her poor eye sight, is an understatement.

I expected her to just let Randy take control over her, but I was wrong. She finally stood up to herself.

The cold wind was blowing on her face, her hair flying everywhere, as she guides the wheelbarrow to wherever she is going.

"Well done sweetheart, you stood up this time," I muttered under my breath, "I'm proud of you."

Inhaling sharply, I jump off the tall street light, turning into a mere shadow. I flew past cars and trees and decided to follow her.

She wasn't moving that fast, maybe someone could see her, but considering the whole neighborhood is asleep at this time of night, she's lucky.

But then again, there is no such thing as lucky or good luck.

My eyes widen when she turned left, which leads to the dead end of town. Does she even know where she's going? Oh yeah, she's has a poor fucking eye sight. I bet she doesn't even know where to go.

I huffed before turning into a black raven, and flew above her head before landing on top of Randy's body.

She must've notice because she frowned,"Shoo! Go away!" She hisses, trying to slap me away. She should do better than that. And why would she think I'll eat his body?

I flew up and rested on top of her head, just to annoy her. I heard her sigh, "This is just great. A bird resting on top of my head, like I am a tree or something." She mutters, but didn't shoo me away this time.

If I were in my normal form, I would've smirk.

She soon stopped, making me confused. Would she just dump his body here? But she proved me wrong when she continued, until we reached the dead end. I flew away and sat on top of a street light, turning back to my normal form.

Now what the f*ck would she do? I furrowed my eyebrows when she lifted his body off the wheelbarrow. What would she do?

She grab the shovel she brought and started digging. I watch her dig and dig like there's no tomorrow.

I suddenly sence someone moving, and it was Randy's hand inside the cloth. How could that son of a b*tch still be alive? Right, cause he's a demon. He was just out for a few minutes. He soon started to breath, and struggle to get out. Lucinda didn't even noticed.

What's it gonna be? Let this bastard kill her and finish off where you started?

The idea of killing her was still pleasing to me, but not by an amature demon. I lifted my hand, making his body float, and I didn't spare a second of snapping his neck.

His body fell down, making a loud thud! due to the impact. Lucinda spun around, seeing no one. I could hear her heart beating fast. She was afraid. Good.

This made her dig faster, making mud stain her clothes and her face. Until the hole she made was deep enough, she lifted Randy's body and thew him in.

She picked up the shovel once again and cover the hole with soil. It was a few minutes 'till she was finished, and that is when she sobbed.

"I'm sorry Randy, I could at least give you a decent burial, but no one should know."

I rolled my eye, she shouldn't be sorry cause that bastard was a demon, and his goal was to kill her to please his master. I never thought Randy was a demon until today. I sensed a dark aura, but not weak enough to be ignored. Like I said, the demon can be anyone.

Lucinda stopped crying and stood up, before starting to make her way home. She must've memorized her way home. Not bad for a poor eye sighted girl.

Her parents were home, she silently walk past the front porch.

She placed the wheelbarrow and shovel on their backyard, before slowly climbing up the ladder she set up.

She almost slipped her foot, makinh me inhale sharply, but fortunately, she didn't fall all the way. Hearing her curse, she continued her way up before turning the lights in her room on.

"You know," I turn to my right to see him, he had a smirk on his face. "There's nothing wrong if you keep her alive."

"What is that suppose to mean?" I ask, confused. He chuckled before placing a hand on my shoulder. "She can live up to your needs man, I can tell."

"Don't tell me what the f*ck I need," I snap, glaring at him. "She's a human, I am a demon. We are completely different, if you're too blind to see."

He laughed, "Come on man. Here's the thing Harry, once you find this other ghost, and use this girl as a weapon, it's all over. You can use this Linda girl for your personal pleasure."

"It's Lucinda," I corrected, "And why would I do that? Her fear is enough for me."

"I have four good reasons man," He spoke, "One, she's fucking hot. Two, she fears you. Three, is because it's what demons do, and four, she's much better than any girl in this f*cking town."

I rolled my eyes before looking at her window, "So what?" He clears his throat, "And, she's hotter than that girl you last dated," He mumbled under his breath. And anger striked me like lightning.

I turn and gripped the his jacket roughly, "Don't. And I mean, don't ever bring Mertil into this, okay?" He hastily nods, holding both hands up in surrender. "Okay, okay. Chill bro."

I let him go, and looked at her window once again, the lights were off now. "So, what is she to you, anyways?" He asks.

I shrug, "I f*cking don't know," I spoke before turning into a shadow, and I enter her house.

Turning into my normal form once I got in, I walked towards her bed. She was sleeping peacfully, until I found traces of tears on her cheek. She cried herself to sleep.

I went closer until I was face to face with her. Caressing her cheek, I kissed her forehead, "Goodnight sweetheart," I whispered before disappearing into thin air.
