《Hex [h.s]》Chapter Twenty-one

Ever experienced that kind of feeling, when you feel so down and you also want the world to feel your pain?
Or, the feeling that, just because you're down or mad, you also want them to feel the same way as you do because they will never understand?
Well, just when I heard Mom telling me that Aunt Crystal was dead, I just wanted to scream at myself and end my life then and there.
But I just couldn't.
My tears won't pour out, and I felt like my brain was numb, as if it weren't inside my head.
Even though I want to tell Mom who killed her, question is, who would believe me?
"I found her dead beside me when I woke up, last week."
Last week?
"She had a big slice on her throat and I ran to find you in your room, all beaten up." She cried.
"L-last week?"
"Y-you were out that long, I was worried that I wouldn't see you open your eyes a-again." My mom croaked, wiping her tears away.
I knew who killed aunt Crystal, it's the bastard who used to live in the house. I would try to kill him, but he's dead. I knew it was impossible.
It wasn't in our so-called deal that he can kill the people who are close to us or our relatives. Our deal was... well, it just wasn't stated by him.
How dare he? First Ben, second is Ruby, and now her mom? I just wanna kill myself right now, I feel guilty.
Really guilty.
"M-mom..." I stammered, "C-can we move to another house? M-maybe at another state perhaps?"
She just remained silent.
Fuck. Why can't she just get the fact that there's a ghost in the house, a devil, who used to kill people until now?

But, what confused me is that Harry was so close to killing my mother. But, why did he not? It's not that I want my mom killed, considering she's my last family besides my dad. But, why won't Harry hurt her or even touch her? I've never even heard him talk about my mom, what more, look at her. It seems like my mom doesn't exist in this house!
"Mom."
"I-I don't even know." She finally answered, "I don't know Lucy, I'm not sure."
I sighed and closed my eyes. I want to be free from this hell hole. This town is much more worse than it's name itself.
Just you wait Harry, once I get out of here, you'll wish you never killed Ruby's mom. I promise that.
After a few days in the hospital, I was finally sent home. I was half-scared and half-excited to put my plan into action.
What if something goes wrong? What will I do?
But I pushed all those doubts out of my mind as Mom finally stopped the car in front of the famous house of the famous murderer.
His ass is going to be hanged sooner or later.
I step out of the car, wincing a bit when my still-healing leg hits the pavement and walk-hopped to the front door.
The house was still the same, still the same cold and lifeless house. I shudder a bit when I remembered the owner is a killer, who knows who has been slaughtered or raped in this very house.
"If you're hungry Lucinda, there's fries on the fridge." Mom spoke, carrying my bag up to my room.
I walked to the refigerator, and just like I expected, the fries turned into man's fingers. I threw it away and let out a huff.

I'm tired of his fucking games. I'm tired of the fact that when we fight, I always end up in the hospital.
I'm not hungry for food. I am hungry for vengence.
I looked at the box full of firecrackers that the man next door, who's name I learned was Joshua, gave us.
"Here, fireworks for your Fourth of July." He grinned, scratching his ash-blonde hair, blue eyes twinkling.
My mom gave him a smile and hugged him, making me turn away. It was obviously clear that she likes him, and he too. But let's not forget my mom has a daughter, me. And besides, she is still married to my dad.
"Thanks, Joshua." My mom gushed, as the man gave her a smirk, and walked away back to his house.
That was just plain gross.
Out of boredom, I picked up a triangle firecracker and stared at the label.
'The big BANG!'
My eyes widened as a plan formulated inside my mind, and I smiled a sinister smile.
One thing was sure, Harry would recieve my vengence with a loud BANG!

Star God
An ancient, ageless entity of magic intertwines with the essence of a tribal hero and a god is born. In a land where the worship of any entity is banned and punishable by mass-execution, the young and idealistic deity must come to terms with the ugliness of humanity, and find a way for his flock to survive, and maybe even thrive. A young man born into a mountain tribe treads the path of a hero, but he must learn the extent to which he would go to keep his people and their fledgling god safe and happy. Enemies are everywhere, and to defend their way of life, they must learn to harness the power of magic. Others are ahead of them in this regard, so they must act fast if they are to survive. A Xianxia-esque magic system, but with a focus on Western-style spellcasting and mysticism. This is more or less a deconstruction of classical fantasy and pantheons. The story focuses on two main characters; a God and a hero who serves him. Kingdom building themes are prevalent. If you like it, please remember to rate and review.

The Legend of Ghost
This is a quick novella origin story to one of fan-favorite characters in the ZERO universe, Sam Dobbs, a.k.a. Slade Gardner, a.k.a. the Ghost. I wrote it for current ZERO series fans, after many insistent, fervent, teary-eyed demands. Still, I think it pretty much works as a stand-alone, so I'll post it here. (He gets the name Ghost later, not as part of this story...this is just the why he decided to do what he did, being slightly insane and all.) Lots of easter eggs for current fans. 15k words total, chapters will be approx. 2.5k each. Oh, and if you get turned off by crazy, hyperintelligent antisocials being crazy, hyperintelligent antisocials, this isn't the story for you. ;)

Soul Core Online
Soul Core Online was a game that few people were interested in until after it was released, due to its odd way of handling character growth but this soon changed as people started to realise just how different this game was. Unlike many of its predecessors the NPCs in Soul Core Online acted in a way that was indistinguishable from real people and the world felt alive because of this instead of the empty and sterile cities we had come to expect, even walking down the street could give you insights to how these people lived. In my case this was the world that I had always wanted to visit and I soon found myself embroiled in the constantly changing world that is Soul Core Online.
