《Hex [h.s]》Chapter Twelve

I stared at the plain white ceiling, wind was slightly blowing the curtains in my window. I had been lying down, thinking over things, just like what he said. Even if I know there's no one in the room right now, I know he's watching me.
Curse him.
I slowly sat up, careful not to hurt or even cause a slight pain on my injured arm. I slowly stood up. I let out a sharp hiss when my arm slightly hit the drawer beside my bed. I proceeded with caution, until I was half way through the room.
Mom is just downstairs, cooking lunch. My lunch. I was about to reach for the knob, when a cold hand grab mine and I looked up and gasped.
"Where do you think you're going?" He hissed and I looked down.
"I was about to go out, my mom is cooking my lunch. I have to eat." I mumbled.
He lets go of my hand and stared at me. "Are you sure?"
I nodded, knowing there's no use of lying to him, because he'll just know I am planning to escape this town. The door opens itself, and I tried my best not to jump in fright. Without looking up, I walked out of my room and down the stairs.
"Mom?" I called out, I can hear her humming an unfamiliar tune from the kitchen. She stopped humming.
"Yes? Do you need anything, honey?"
"Uh, is my lunch ready mom? I am starving." I spoke. I heard her say 'yes' and I walked towards the dinning room. My lunch was ready, ready to be eaten, or ready to be ruined by that bastard upstairs.
I looked at my meal, it was steak with carrots and other vegetables. Seriously, does my mom want me to live or die?

She does know I hate vegetables, why did she put some on this yummy stake?
"Mom!" I yelled, and I heard her chuckle. "You have to eat those Lucinda, if you want to be your healthy self again." She spoke, her voice echoing from the kitchen.
I sigh in frustration and sat down, still looking at the greens on the stake. I jumped slightly when a voice spoke.
"Are you waiting for me to ruin it? Maybe turn it into a head of a crow or something?" He asked, he was leaning against the wall.
I frowned at him. "Go away. Let me eat in peace." I growled and stab the carrot with my fork.
I lift the fork and stared at the orange carrot with disgust. Without any other word, I took a small bite, the taste was funny, and I quickly reach for the glass of water. But it turn into blood right away. I flinched and glared at the laughing ghost.
I had no other choice but to swallow it, and I did, hardly. I let out a disgusted groan afterwards, and narrowed my eyes at him. "Out! I don't like you messing with my food!" I spat harshly.
"Why should I ?" He asks, now glaring at me. "After all, we still have a deal." I blame my idiotic self for forgetting and stupidly agreed with his deal.
I lowered my head, trying not to stand up and slap his face. "Fine." I spoke and continued eating. If I fight back now, I know I will lose.
I hate this. Being the weak one, not having the upper hand right now is shitty. After a few minutes of disgusted groans and squinting eyes, I finished my meal. I mentally high fived myself for eating the greens without vomiting or passing out.

I looked up to find no one, he was gone for my sake. I stood up, and was about to get my empty plate, when my mom suddenly appeared and grab it. "No, Lucinda. Don't do anything to hurt or cause pain on your arm."
I rolled my eyes. "Mom, I'm fine, I can still help you."
But she shook her head. "No Lucy, you won't be doing anything. Just watch television or some sort." And she walks away to the kitchen.
I groaned. "Whatever you say, Mom." And I walked to the living room. I flopped down the white couch and turn the television on. I switched the channels and found the right one. It was Pretty little liars. Before I would know if Aria is A, the television turned black.
I furrowed my eyebrows. "Mom! The television is broken!" I yelled. I didn't hear her reply clearly since the screen started to make buzzing sounds.
After a good solid minutes, the screen turned red. A big white circle was displayed. I tilted my head, what the heck is this show?
And a girl in a bloody white dress appeared, her head tilting until it tilted into a position that is unhumanly possible.
"Help me...."
And I screamed bloody murder.
