《Hex [h.s]》Chapter Eleven

He narrowed his eyes at me while I just smirked at him. Waiting for what he was going to say or do. After a few minutes, he backed away. Then, he smirked. It made me frown in confusion.
What the hell is he up to now?
"That sharp tongue of yours need to be cut, well, that is if you want too." He threatened and my eyes widen when I saw his knife again.
Fuck, is he going to kill me now? God, please yes! I want to die, since my life doesn't even has a purpose anymore.
But then again, my body's reaction towards his words are different from what my brain tells it to do. Instead of standing boldly, I was shaking like a leaf on a windy day. His smirk grew wider and I almost let out a shriek when he pulled the knife towards me.
He cocked his head to the side. "In case you are wondering, your sassy attitude is kinda boring to me now. I will gladly entertain you by cutting your tongue. Right here, right now."
I visibly gulped. Is he really serious? I mean, what happens if he did? Will I die? I can't speak anymore? What?
Finally, I lowered my head. "No." I mumbled,m and I can hear him chuckle darkly. It made me wanna slap him but I decided against it. One, it will only anger him. Two, I don't even know which will hurt more. His face or his hurtful words.
"Look at me, Lucinda."
I looked up and I noticed the knife was gone. He was already staring at me with his piercing empty eyes that reminded me of the dark sacred night. That is, if he is sacred, which I know he isn't.

He placed his hand on my chin, making me flinch. "Don't even try to escape this town, because it won't work. I am the man here, I rule this town ever since. And I might be dead, but people here still knows who I am, and what I did."
"What did you do?" I suddenly ask, catching me, and him off guard. He releases his hold on my chin, and looked away.
"It's none of your concern right now, you'll definitely find out, one way or another. But I am not telling you. I will be watching over you."
And with that, he disappears. I glance around the room, the room was suddenly cold, it was like, when he was here, the place didn't even have a temperature at all.
I slowly leaned on the huge pillow and sighed deeply. Now, I can't leave the town anymore, since he too, haunts it.
What am I going to do?
For sure, he'll immediately know where I am if I try to leave.
What the hell am I going to do now?
"She can leave the hospital now, Mrs. Mackenzie." The doctor smiled and left the room. I sat up and Mom looked at me with a smile.
"M-mom, how are you? Are you okay?" I asked, and she nodded, giving me a confused look.
"Yeah, I am. It's only been two days, but I missed you." She spoke.
I shook my head. "No, are you okay alone at home? Did anybody hurt you?" I asked, and she shook her head.
"Why on earth will anybody hurt me? The house was lonely and quite without you. Nothing strange happened." She answered.
I sighed in relief. "That's good to hear mom, I'm glad." I smiled and she smiled back as she tied her blonde hair.

I inherited all my looks from my dad, while all my personality came from my mom. I am glad I didn't have his characteristics, because if I do, I might be on the street right now.
Let's just say that my dad is like, mental, or something. I don't even know why Mom likes him, which is kinda weird for me. Love is strange, moves in mysterious ways.
"How about you darling? Are you okay? Does your hand still hurt?" She asked worriedly and I shrug.
"A bit, it only hurts a bit." I answered truthfully.
She nodded her head. "That's good to hear too." She spoke, and the door suddenly swung open, revealing my nurse.
She smiled at us. "Miss Lucinda, you're ready to leave?" She inquired and I nodded quickly.
Hell yeah! Stuck here for two days, constantly visited by him twice is just nerve racking. "Yes." I answered.
The nurse nodded, her brown eyes turning towards my mom. "Mrs. Mackenzie, her clothes are in the bathroom, ready for her to wear and just push that red button and a nurse will bring a wheelchair for her."
My mom nod. "Yes, thank you." And the nurse, who's name I read is Monica, left the room. My mom turned towards me. "Come now, let's get you changed."
I was placed on the wheelchair and was pushed out of the room to my mom's car. I was carefully placed at the back seat and my mom drove away. "Mom," I spoke and she looked at me through the mirror.
"Yes?"
"Can we leave town?" I asked, and her eyes widen. The car stopped at the sign of the red light.
"Why is it again Lucinda that you ask to leave this town?" She asks, and I looked down.
"Well, what if I tell you, that there's something evil in this town, will we leave?"
She sighed. "Whatever 'evil' thing you are saying right now is just a figment of your imagination."
And out of the corner of my eye, I saw a dark shadow. I slowly turn and saw him. He was standing at the dark alley, where the sun's rays didn't reach. His eyes were looking at me, his dark, brooding eyes.
My eyes widen, it was true.
He will watch over me and my every move.

Project G00
|Nanopunk |Crafting | Detailed Science and experiments | Inner thoughts | Bio-Robots | Evolution | Infodumps | Tell not Show | Insane to Sane | Slow and Detailed Pace | Puddle to Unknown | Artificial Intelligence | Trans-humanism | Bad Jokes | Moving 'Dungeon' Core | Hi! I am G00. I am a project made by some weirdo. Some may refer to me as the wobbly thing in the fridge or the slimy thing in the ceiling. Others might tell you about that sticky thing inside your nose. In the end, they called me the Seed of Life, yet didn’t tell me what I was supposed to become. Furthermore, it just happens that this stage was the most miserable place to reincarnate... Reincarnate as in… What the hell did I become?! (Whispers) You are a puddle. A puddle? (Whispers) Yes. C’mon little guy, say your lines! You’re live right now! Welcome to puddle-springs aka the afterlife of a puddle. CUT! Eh? Why?! No edition or photoshop needed?! We’re short on puddle-staff. The camera is broken, I am broken, and you are broken. Wait! How can a puddle be broken? You are not a puddle, you are frozen yogurt. NOOOOOOOOOO! Additional summary: Spoiler: Spoiler Humanity has finally made the second step towards space. Many developments were taking place at the time this happened. All of them accomplished thanks to nanotechnology. Inventions regarding Artificial Intelligence and nanorobotics created the opportunity, a way to terraform planets by sending nanorobots to space. Their orders? Colonizing and preparing the new worlds before humanity's arrival, aka terraforming. Meet G00, a weird agglomeration of nanomachines. A bit stupid, but it's not because he was like that. The little guy... 'He' is really broken. The hardest start of a story is when language is oddly misunderstood, when you know nothing of the place you just arrived; when your companion is a buggy system, and when you have to repair yourself with whatever trash you can scavenge from your surroundings. All of this while you fight your worst enemy: potatoes? What will you do in an unfamiliar circumstance where nothing is what it seems and where you won't even understand the boring ramblings of a confused main character? Well, patience will... probably have a reward? Additional tags and disclaimers: Read before starting the story: Harem: Not included for the moment, depends on characters added, votes by readers, and things that happen on the go. Magic: Far away chapters maybe... as part of high level or non-understandable things by science. Slice of life: Probably some parts will include it. Disclaimer #1: Crazy amount of content about high-tech info-dumps, slow pace, starts with biology and nanotechnology. Might have some weird jokes and puns. Game bugs are also possible. Disclaimer #2: No puddles were harmed during the making of this story. No character is real, no real puddle was used as part of the cast. Character is stupid at the start on purpose but he will get beta and beta. All written content follows a logical approach no matter how stupid it appears to be, maybe… Because it’s just a raccoon splashing some cotton-candy over a puddle after it was thrown. Yup, a bully raccoon with rabies or so it seems.

Journey West 5000
With her parents murdered and her brother abducted, a trainee Monk of the Gun pursues the one responsible, the Bull Demon King, undefeated Warlord of the Crimson Army.Struggling to track down her enemy while braving the dangers of the wilds, she enlists the help of Sun Wukong, but 500 years under a mountain have taken its toll. Unstable and weakened, will he be more hindrance than help? Can he become the warrior he once was?A Monk and a Monkey journey across a world...... where the remnants of technology are seen as magic, while pockets of humanity strive to drag themselves out of ignorance.... where the descendants of animal-human hybrids, once created as instruments of war, now seek to dominate the world as demons.... where beings who call themselves Immortals and Gods preoccupy themselves with selfish pastimes, ignoring everything else. Among other things, a story about growth, grit, and being better than the person you were yesterday. Here's my rambling on why I'm writing Journey West 5000. Journey West 5000 is my crazy ambitious writing project to adapt a classic epic called "Journey to the West" for a global, modern audience. It's a sci-fi story disguised as fantasy, and has some road trip + monster of the week elements (as does the original Journey to the West). No system, definitely no harem, gradual power progression. Hmm, what else can I put here so potential readers know what to expect? My writing style for now is mostly "show don't tell", because I believe that readers don't need to have everything pointed out to them, and that they should be allowed to make up their own minds about characters based on the actions of those characters. I'm also trying to be less long-winded (a weakness pointed out by some friends) in order to write according to something Neil Gaiman said, which is to write as though I'm the one who has to pay for every word, not the reader. This will bring down my chapter word counts, and might drive away potential readers, but I believe there's value in learning to compress and be concise. All chapters posted here will have been edited. Constructive criticism, comments, and feedback would be very much welcome and appreciated. Please, please help point out any typos or grammatical mistakes, I'm striving to minimize those as much as possible. Above all, I hope you enjoy my story.
