You burst through the door. You didn't know how to react. You were shocked, freaked out, and scared. Right in front of you stood the clown in Nate's drawing. He was tall, really tall. At least 6'4. He was holding Nate by his throat. He was looking directly at you with an insane smile. "Oh look Nathan!!! I guess (Y/N) decided to join us after all!!!" He was so cheerful, yet dark. "I'll be right with you sweet heart." He stated then turn his attention back to Nate. "Get away from him you over sized mime!!!!!" You yelled holding up the knife you had gotten from the kitchen. He then dropped Nate and turned to you. "What are you gonna do with that?" He slowly approached you and backing you into a wall and hitting the knife out of your hands. His face inches from yours. "Look princess let's get a few things straight. One, I'm a clown, not a mime. Two, I have some unfinished business to attend to so if you don't mind I have to kill my play mate. So why don't you be a girl and enjoy your last minutes of life?" He turned around and started to walk towards Nate. You could see the pure terror in the little boys face. You weren't going to let this happen. Oh Hell No!!!!! "Now where were we?" He then raised his clawed hand, ready to Penetrate the little boy skin "Oh ye-". He was cut off by you jumping on his back, wrapping your arms around his neck, trying to strangle him. "NATE RUN!!!!!!!!!" The little boy nodded and quickly scurried out of his room. "WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING!!!!!! GET OFF ME!!!!!!!" You held on for dear life, trying to keep yourself alive and trying to buy Nate enough time to escape. You knew if you let go you we're done for. "SHIT! SHIT! SHIT!" You thought as he slammed his back into a wall, into an attempt to get you off. And after a few times it worked. You whacked your head and back on the wall. Knocking the wind out of you. You fell to the ground with blurry vision. You could hear sirens in the background. You smiled but so did he. "I don't have enough time to kill you right now so I guess that means I get to take you home with me." He smirked as your smile instantly faded. You being to weak to protest, he picked you up and threw you over his shoulder as you lost Consciousness. "This is going to be so much more fun than I had originally thought." He smirked and then disappeared in a cloud of black smoke with you on his shoulder.

Upon his return, the kin-slaying prince has found that some things have changed during his absence. Iskra, his first wife and love of his life, has proclaimed that she no longer cares about the events that have been unfolding in her former homeland for the last several years and states that she is solely focused on raising her children. Yet it is through learning that the High Elves have taken a keen interest in the once magically-absent lands of Ranislava that Aurelius decides that action must be taken and thus he journeys south to learn more about what his distant kin are up to in such a backwater region of the world. Who he will meet and what he will do will turn the tides of fate, but in whose favor is something that only the Gods will know. (The Eight Years arc is something that was designed to be written in a way where people don't have to feel the need to go back to the very beginning of the Dark Lands story in order to know what is going on or who the characters are.)
