"Chrissss." Chandler yelled out of the nursery's doorway. He walked away and went to the crib where his sons were lying on their backs. Chandler accidentally put them in the same outfit and since they were identical twins, it made him confused. Chris came walking in with a bottle in each hand, shaking it gently. He went over next to Chandler and looked down at the babies.

"Yeah?" Chandler looked over at him and gestured to him to put the bottles down. Chris put them off to the side and looked at him. He raised an eyebrow and stepped closer to him, wrapping an arm around his shoulder.

"What's wrong?" A thumb was pressed under his eyes and he closed his eyes, feeling them wipe under his eyes. A warm liquid spread around his cheeks before it disappeared, opening his eyes again to only see blurriness. He blinked it away until Chris was clear.

"Can you tell who's who?" One of the babies cooed when Chris looked over at them, his brother falling asleep next to him. He gasped when he felt hands placed around his body and lift him up. He was immediately placed onto Chris's chest the warmth that radiated from his chest covered him like a blanket.

"Jack is basically the mini version of you personality wise while Max is the mini version of me. And I guess you can tell who's who now." Chandler made eye contact with Chris and grinned, looking over at Jack who was still sleeping. He didn't want to wake up Jack but the urge to hold one of the babies grew on him. He walked over to Chris and placed his hand onto the Max's back. Chris moved his head back to look at him, surprised to see him so close.

"You weren't always like this. What changed you?" Eye contact was exchanged, blue melting into honey brown. Chris began to realize the hand on his hip and looked away, not used to having intense staring contests with his husband. He stepped away, also not used to the physical touch he was giving too.

Chandler shrugged, his eyes still trained on Chris and Max. He stepped closer and slipped his hand underneath Chris's shirt, hearing a gasp come from him. The hand curved around the non-deflated bump, remember being so excited to feel the flutters and kicks from his sons when he placed his hand onto the bump. Now, all he felt nothing.

"Chandler..." Chris was confused on the state of Chandler, having never seen this side of him even after the birth of their sons. A little sigh came from Max, reminding Chandler of his presence. He leaned down and kissed his head, staying a little longer than he usually did. Chris watched him draw back and place his forehead onto his, the grip becoming tighter as if a reflex.

The last time Chandler ever shared something similar to this was on their wedding night after the song ended on their first dance as husbands. Throughout the whole song, the grip on each other was firm but Chandler's was stronger, as if he let go he would disappear. The last note played out and everyone started to clap as they came to a halt in the middle of the dance floor. A passionate kiss was shared, the moment too good to pass without a kiss. When they parted, Chris's hold on Chandler relaxed as if to say he was ready to get off the floor but Chandler didn't read those signals. The grip was still firm, looking down at Chris with such love sparkling in his eyes but something was hiding behind it. Fear but for what?

"You scared?" Chris whispered, not really caring pairs of people starting to dance next to them as the notes of the next song started to play. Mindlessly, they started to sway again and soon fell into a smooth rhythm. A simple nod was in response as the eyes left his.

"Why?" Chandler shrugged, turning with Chris and bringing him closer to his chest. Chris finally understood why he was scared, having listened to multiple conversations from Chandler that were personally. "I'm not going to leave and so are you." He mumbled against his chest, feeling lips press up against the temple of his head.

It all came flooding back to Chris that day with Chandler holding him close with one of their sons pressed up against both of them. Chris sighed and looked at Chandler.

"Are you going to leave?" His voice was quiet and questionable, wanting an answer on why Chandler was suddenly like this. A shake of the head was exchanged but it was hesitated.

"They need you, Chandler. I need you. Don't leave." Chris tried to plead with Chandler but it seemed to not go through. He couldn't seem to get him to make eye contact with him, no matter how hard he tried. He felt the grip around his loosen and him slither away. He panicked, not wanting Chandler to go. He lifted Max off his chest and gestured to Chandler to take him. Chandler just stared at the baby, who started to cry as he woken up from the unexpected coldness which woke up Jack. Chandler looked back and forth between the two babies before running out of the bedroom fast. Chris cursed loudly and placed Max into the crib alongside his brother, leaving them in a rush and letting them cry. He heard the back door open and close quickly and he rushed to the backyard, throwing open the sliding glass door.

"Chandler!" He ran out, not caring that he was barefoot and only in boxers and a shirt. He ran around in the backyard, looking down both sides of the house before he saw him. Huddled up in a corner, quiet weeps and hisses could be heard and the shaking of his body was visible even in the pitch darkness. He rushed over to him and knelt down next to him, bringing him into a hug which resulted in him flinching and throwing the object that was balled up in his fist. Chandler pushed at his chest, trying to escape. Chris let go of him but kept cornering him, not wanting to lose him again. He picked up the object and held it in his hand, staying silent as he studied it. He shoved it in his pocket, deciding to discuss about it later.

"Don't leave, please Chandler. How are the twins going to learn how to play baseball or that gushers are the best snack? How are they going to know that it's okay to be crazy? You are the only one you can teach it, Chandler." Chris tried to reason with Chandler, which seemed to work a bit. Chandler accepted the hug, leaning into Chris. "Alright, let's go back to the babies."

This triggered a reaction within Chandler, pushing against Chris to get up. He ran back into the house, Chris hot on his tail. He got into the nursery and went straight to the crib, picking up Jack who was still fusing. Cradling him close to his chest, he bounced him gently until he quieted down. Chris watched from afar, leaning against the wooden structure around the door. When Chandler placed him into the crib and came walking towards Chris, he pulled him into a hug.

"You're amazing, you know?" A little nod was his response but a faint smile could be seen, making Chris smile to see a smile, not matter how big, plastered on his face again.
