The night air blew softly, sweeping the man's hair to the side. The blanket that feel loosely in his arms blew with the wind, the little sighs and gasps of the little human cradled in his arms as they stared up at him.

He was looking for a certain house, one that was so familiar when he was younger that now faded away from his memory. He trudged along the sidewalk, the moon beaming brightly down at him. He looked down at the newborn baby in his arms and fixed the pacifier.

Tears flooded his eyes as he watched the baby, stopping his journey to devoured this sweet moment for this was the last time he was going to see them. Nine months, they grew inside him and he only know they were in there for five before they were brought into the world. The father of this child ran away after the night of pleasure, wanting so badly to be a normal person and not be associated with him, as he told him.

He fixed the blanket around their faces, trying to see all of their little chubby face before he couldn't. The baby smiled at him, failing his arms around as their father's fingers left them. He put his finger near them again and they immediately wrapped their whole hand around the tip of his index finger. He smiled softly, his vision becoming blurry as the tears threaten to fall from his eyes.

He accidentally blinked, sending a tear to trickle down his cheek and land on the baby. The baby gasped, their smile falling from their face. Chandler felt bad, using his thumb to wipe away his tear from their face.

"I'm sorry." He whispered, more tears flooding his eyes. The baby snuggled into his chest, trying to comfort him as best they could. He smiled softly and decided to keep walking, not wanting to be out for too long.

He walked down the streets of the neighborhood he once lived in as a child until he came upon the street he grew up. Some many memories came rushing back to when he used to live here. His best friend from childhood lived just a door down from his house, only a two year difference between them. He remembered how they used to ride their bikes along the sidewalk and how that one summer they tried to raise money for Chandler to get a new bike as his rusted in the rain.

He knew he was going to make the best decision from them, for his sake. He stared at the street name for what felt like hours before his legs started to walk again. He looked down at the baby again who was still holding onto his finger, not daring to let go. He smiled sadly, leaning down to kiss their head. His legs stopped and he looked up at his childhood best friend's house. It hadn't changed a bit since he seventeen, the last time he saw it before deciding to run away. He knew he was going to be home; before he left, his friend had talked about how much he loved the college he was going at and was trying to persuade Chandler to go to the college he was going to.

Hours upon hours, his friend had talked about how great that college was and how much it had opened his eyes. All Chandler saw was how much debt he would be in if he went, probably going to die without it being paid back. He wanted so badly for Chandler to go, promising him he was going to help him with the money but he couldn't live with the guilt of never paying back his friend. Deciding to run away was the best decision he made in his life but now, it was a stupid choice he made.

What if his friend didn't take the baby? What if he just puts it up for adoption and they would have to jump from foster home to foster home before being placed in a home? He didn't want that for them, he wanted them to be in a stable home with a loving family.

He brushed those questions, deciding to not think about them every again. He walked to the entrance of the house, standing at the familiar door he used to knock on when he wanted to play with his friend.

He looked down at the baby before he heard footsteps behind him. Turning around, he saw his friend nearly five feet away from him.

"Hey, what are you doing on my property? Get off before I call the cops." He threatened, waving around a stick he had in his hand. He was confused on why he had a stick in his hand and why he out here so late at night but he decided to ask those questions later, if there was a later.

"Chris, it's me Chandler. I need you to do me a favor." He pleaded, stepping out of the darkness and into the moonlight. The baby squirmed around in his arms, understanding the energy that was giving off from him and not liking it.

Chris cocked his head, not trusting him fully.

"If you are Chandler, the boy I grew up with, then prove it." Chris stared at him, posing himself into a defensive position in case he needed to attack him.

"Your middle name is Nova because you're mother sister's middle name was Nova and they wanted to honor her as she died while you were in the womb. You hated it because it was more feminine than it was masculine." Chandler stated proudly, watching the color in Chris's cheeks turn a bright red.

"Keep your voice down, I don't want people finding out." He sighed and rubbed his eyes, dropping the stick before looking at him again. "What is it you need? Why'd you run away?" Two questions were fired at him, so desperately wanting to not answer the second. He walked forward towards him and carefully held the baby away from him, gesturing Chris to take them.

"Chris, I need you to raise Amor. I- I not able to. Give them the best childhood any child wants and needs. Just please look after them, please." Chris took Amor in his arms, confused on his demand. Chandler handed him the backpack of supplies they needed and looked down the street anxiously.

"Why? Can you stay and talk about it?" Chris asked, wanting to know what was happening. Why he ran and came back two years later handing him a baby before running away again. "When are you coming back?"

"I can't stay and I don't know. I don't think I'll come back." Chandler stated, cracking his knuckles and bouncing on his heels. Chris stared at him, reaching out to touch him but all he did was flinch and draw back away from his reach.

"I need to go, Chris. Just promise me you'll give them the best childhood ever?" Chris nodded, staring at the man who looked like he was about to break down in the anxiety attack. Chandler walked forward and kissed Amor's head before looking down the street again and sprinting away. Chris watched him, hearing the baby fuss and started to cry. He started to cry along with them, not understanding what just happened. He watched the man turn the corner and disappear again, never to be seen again.

These are just filler chapters as I don't have that much time to sit down and write a full oneshot. Once I'm on break again, more longer chapters will probably be released.
