Their lips parted and he stared into those blue eyes, so bright but also gentle, with the little streaks of gray spotted around it.
"Wow..." He whispered but then was irrupted by a shake of a shoulder. He opened his eyes and was met with the same eyes he always dreamed about. Without thinking, he leaned forward and smashed his lips onto his. He felt warm hands cup his face gently and lips mold into his. Their lips parted and he stared into those eyes, the eyes that made him fall in love.
"I didn't expect that. Why'd you kiss me?" Chris asked. Jimmy hummed and traced his jawline, dragging his finger to his soft face that was starting to wrinkle. Even though he was aging, he was still as handsome as every.
"I don't know. Just had a dream about you." Jimmy replied, humming and kissing him again. Chris smiled into the kiss, kissing him like he did on the nights their daughter and son were born.
"Keep dreaming about me. I like it." He joked, making Jimmy laugh.
"I'll stop dreaming about you." He rubbed the tip of his nose against Chris's. Chris mockingly gasped
and pouted, making both of them laugh.
"Anyways, Juliana and Sean are coming over with the new baby. Leonard's coming too." Jimmy gasped quietly and pushed Chris away from him, getting up. Chris looked at him and cocked his head. He walked over to him and pulled him in by his waist, making Chris gasp.
"Why didn't she tell us?" Jimmy whispered. Chris shrugged and put his arms on his shoulders. They swayed slightly, their eyes locked into a gaze and any sentence they have planned to say evaporated. Even after decades of being together, they would always have moments like this where they would hold each other and stared into their eyes. For some reason, Jimmy got a flashback to their first date.
***
After two years of knowing each other and a month of being together, they've decided to go out on a date. Chris asked him out to prom since they were seniors and both of them never went. It was lame, both of them could say but they didn't say anything.
"You cold or anything?" Chris asked for the third time that night. Jimmy huffed, getting annoyed but he kept his calm.
"No, I'm good." He mumbled. They watched all the couples talk to each other and dance to a fast song. They vowed to each other that they wouldn't dance to a fast song with each other, as they weren't ready for that moment and both of them got two left feet.
Jimmy felt Chris wrap an arm around his waist and pull him closer to him. Jimmy felt the air be sucked out of him and his heart skip a beat. He wasn't used to being this close to him and he never felt the warm touch of Chris's arm around his waist. It was strangely comforting and he leaned back, his back slightly arched. A slow song started to play and they looked at each other. They didn't make a vow to not dance to slow songs. Slowly, Chris moved to the front of Jimmy and pulled him by his wait till they got to the dance floor. They dropped their arms and let each other make a move. Almost like it was natural, Jimmy wrapped his arms around his shoulders and Chris wrapped his arms around his waist. They moved close to each other until the gap was closed. They swayed in time to the music, turning every so often.

Their eyes locked into one of those special gazes they always have when they is no mean for words, just the presence of each other only matters. They knew what each other was thinking, who was going to make the first move?
Their faces inched closer to each other, noses brushed up against one of another as kept their gaze. Normally, both of them would look away when they make eye contact but this time, their gazes were strong and deadly. If stares could kill, they would be dead on the ground but they would both know that they were in love.
Jimmy remembered that one moment before they knew about each other's feelings. They were out canoeing when their canoe tipped over. When they resurfaced, their faces brushed up against each other's. Before he could think, Jimmy threw himself onto Chris and smashed his lips onto his. He felt Chris gasp but then lips mold into his. They were still friends or at least, that was what they thought. When they parted, they stared at each other then it clicked what just happened. Pushing each other away, they looked everywhere expected them. They got the canoe and just decided to swim back, the situation too awkward to even be six feet within each other. They ride home was stiff and uncomfortable, the silence suffocating.
Their lips hovered against each other's, hot breath gliding over them.
Chris connected their lips and let their lips molded into each other. Fireworks bombed in the ears, everything felt right. Their hand placement fit their curves like puzzle pieces and their lips felt right. Chris knew it that very moment that they were meant to be.
•••
"Whatcha you thinking about?" Chris interrupted. Jimmy shook his head gently and looked at the man. He smiled a small smile and traced shapes into his back, looking down and breaking the strong gaze.
"Nothing nothing." He lied. Chris knew he was lying and but his thumb underneath his chin and lifted it up.
"I know you were thinking about something. What is it?" Chris asked. Jimmy sighed, knowing he would rather get it over with then have Chris nagging him the rest of the day.
"I was thinking about our first date." He replied. Chris cocked his head but smiled.
"Oh?" Jimmy smiled, kissing his forehead.
"It felt right, you know? To kiss you." Jimmy mumbled against his forehead. He tried to kiss it again but Chris caught him.
"I remember our wedding." Chris remarked after they parted. Jimmy hummed and raised an eyebrow, a smile tugging on his lips.
"It was special." He remarked, making Chris laugh and nod.
***
Chris fixed his tie in the mirror and breathed out. He felt nervous, he was about to marry his soulmate in about two hours. His hands felt he should fidget with something else, so he took a comb and brushed his hair to the side. He took some gel and coated it, his hair becoming stiff. He nodded to himself then he heard the door open. He looked towards it as he set the gel down.
"Come in." He spoke. The door creaked open and in walked his parents. His mom's face let up with happiness and sadness, waking over to brush his shoulders. His father stood behind her, a soft smile on his lips.
"Aw look at you, handsome man. I thought this day would never come." She laughed breathlessly, fixing his tie. Chris made eye contact with his father who met his gaze.
"You better treat him good or I'm going to come woop your butt like I did when you were younger." He sounded so serious, it wondered Chris. He tried to smile but he was flashbacks to when his father used to woop him. He then laughed, coming over yo Chris and patting his shoulder.

"I know you're going to treat him right. You love him too much to hurt him." He told him. Chris smiled at his father and nodded.
"Thanks." He took a glance at the clock on the wall. "Shot, I have to go. I have to do the exchange of vows and first look." He rushed out, kissing his parents on their cheeks and running out. He made some turns down hallways and stairs until he reached the front door. He pushed on it and walked outside into the big backyard. He started to walk down a trail to where the barn would be. Yes, their wedding was in the country. No, Jimmy wasn't forced to agree to it. Jimmy told Chris that every since he met him, he liked the country but also hated it. He liked the beauty of it but couldn't stand living in it, which caused an eye roll from Chris and "I'm going to make you live it in one day."
He reached the barn and was met with one of his friends. He smiled proudly at him and patted him on the back.
"Jimmy's already here. We were wondering what took so long." He remarked, Chris heard his lover snicker. He leaned against the door to the barn and put his hand into the barn, immediately getting greeted with soft warm fingers.
"Who's going first? You or me?" Jimmy asked. Chris hummed and took out the piece of paper in his pocket with his other hand.
"You." He simply said. He heard him take a deep breath before he started to speak.
"Chris, every since I met you, I knew I was in love. Your eyes always made me lose my breath, thank gosh we decided to do our vows behind a door. I made a promise to myself when I entered your life to never let you go and here we are going to promise to each other to stay with each other until death. I promise to always be there for no matter what. Whatever comes in our way, I hope we'll have each other by our sides." He finished, Chris could hear the crinkling of the paper and hear his heartbeat in his ears. Tears flooded his eyes and he blinked them away, not wanting to cry right now. He looked down at his slip of paper and cleared his throat, getting ready to read out his vows.
"If I had to tell myself ten years ago that I would be right here about to marry you in three hours, I would've laughed. If I told myself five years ago, I was getting married to you, I would've smiled and thought it was the craziest thing in the world. I still believe it is the craziest thing in the world, marrying someone as special as you. I promise to always be there to grow with you, laugh with you, cry with you, and always be yours. No matter if it's spirit, soul, or body form." Chris finished, hearing a sniffle from his lover. He pushed himself off the barn door and walked around it to met his lover.
When he saw him, his breath got evaporated from his lungs. His usual messy brown hair was slicked to the side and his beard was trimmed to make it look less messy. His suit had no creases in it and his boutonniere perfectly matched his eyes. Chris stroked his thumb across his jawline and felt warm tears leave streaks on his face. He felt the man's fingers softly brush across his cheeks, wiping away the tears. The finger traveled to his lips and he started to brush his finger along it until Chris gave in and kissed him. Fireworks still bombed in his ears as they kissed passionately. When they parted, they were met with each other's lips again after a couple seconds. They parted and Chris moved away.
"Save it for later." He taunted, grabbing his other hand and lacing it with his. The man smirked, chuckling deeply. He leaned forward, his breath sending shivers down his spine.
"Don't mind if I do." He whispered in his ear. Chris smirked back when the man came face to face with him again.
"I'll see about it." He winked and turned away, still holding onto his hands. He let go of one of them, dragging him with him. They walked slowly, appreciating the beauty. It was a warm spring day, puffy white clouds in the sky and flowers bloom colorfully across the side of the path they walked along. The air smelled fresh, the faint scent of flowers mixed within.
"Did you use the country just to make me happy?" Chris asked. It has always been a question on his mind and even though Jimmy told him he liked the country, he was still suspicious. He hummed and came up next to him.
"I chose the country because that is where you are. I don't care where I live as long as you are by my side." He spoke, squeezing Chris's hand. Chris poured and turned, making Jimmy turn. He reached up and pecked his lips.
"You're sweet." He whispered against his lips. Jimmy laughed breathlessly and pecked his lips. They separated and kept on walking to the building.
Their hands were still locked together but they knew they would have to separate. When they reached the door, the looked at each other and nodded.
"I'll see in an hour." Chris spoke softly. Jimmy nodded and kissed his forehead before letting go of his hand and waking away. He watched him walk away until he was gone then turned around to go back to his dressing room. When he reached there, he was met with his parents and friend.
"I still can't believe you're going to get married." The friend, Tyler, said. Chris smiled and patted his back.
"Maybe you'll find someone special and be in my position." Chris playfully joked. Tyler rolled his eyes and pushed him away.
"Maybe." Tyler mumbled, a grin still on his face. They all talked about the wedding and Jimmy until it was time. His mother came to his side and linked her arm with his.
"My baby boy is finally getting married." She whispered, tears in her eyes as she kissed his cheeks.
"Mommm, stop." Chris laughed. His father linked his arm with his other arm and patted his hand.
"This is the biggest moment of your life, Chris. Of course your mother would cry." He whispered into Chris's ear. Chris turned to him and smiled. They walked to where the ceremony was going to take place. Tyler pushed open the door and patted Chris on the back.
"See you in a few." He told him. Chris took a deep breath as they started to walk. Eyes trained onto him as they walked to the alter. They kissed him on his cheeks before separating to go sit in one of the chairs. Chris stood at the alter and faced the door. The best man came first then the groomsmen, then the flower girl (who was actually one of their friends who just wore a tutu and sprinkled flowers around. It got a decent laugh out of everyone.) Finally, it was Jimmy's turn. The doors opened and everyone looked back, standing up as they did. Jimmy was in the middle of his parents, his mother already shedding tears. They walked slowly to their alter, his eyes locked in a gaze with Chris. Chris felt tears raise in his eyes and he swept them away. Jimmy parted from his parents and met Chris on the alter.
"Hi." He whispered. Chris took his hands into his and smiled.
"Hi." He whispered back. Their good friend, Jack, was held the book as he cleared his throat.
"Friends and family, we are gathered here today to celebrate the wedding of Chris and Jimmy. The have already shared their vows with each other in private but a friend would like to read off a speech they have made." Jack spoke, looking up and meeting the eyes of one of the groomsmen. They cleared their throat and everyone turned to him.
"I would like to say that this couple made me believe in love. They have been together since they were young and naive and are still that happy couple they were 8 years ago. They have come a long way and remained by each other's side. If they every break up, I would have lost faith in the whole world." They spoke clearly and loudly. Chris smiled and felt Jimmy squeeze his hands. They turned back towards each other and smiled widely.
"Thank you. Now, let's get to the serious part. Do you, Chris, take Jimmy, to have and hold from that day forward, for better or worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and health, to love and cherish, until parted by death?" Jack asked. Chris nodded.
"I do."
"Do you, Jimmy, take Chris, to have and hold from that day forward, for better or worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and health, to love and cherish, until parted by death?"
"I do."
"I know declare you, husband and husband. You may kiss the groom." He stepped back as Chris pulled Jimmy in and leaned forward with him, kissing him full on the mouth. Everyone cheered and clapped their hands as their lips met and molded into each other's. They parted and straighten their bodies, their hands still in intwined with each other's. They walked down the aisle, cheers still loud and strong and their smiles wide and proud. They kept walking until they got to the door. They turned to each other and kissed each other.
"Why hello Mr. Tyson, looking as handsome as ever." Chris joked, receiving a playful push to the shoulder and kiss to the forehead.
"Not as handsome as you are."
"Oh please." They started to walk again to a certain area outsides. They saw a stage let up with fairy lights and tables and chairs surrounded the outside of the stage.
"You know how to dance?" Chris asked jokingly. Jimmy laughed and squeezed his hand.
"As much as you can." He told him, turning his head to stick his tongue out. Chris laughed, sticking it back out. So, they were horrible dancers but that's okay, they can embarrass each other on the stage.
They waited until everyone was seated to take the stage. A song started to play and Chris smiled. He took Jimmy's hand dragged him onto the floor.
They wrapped their hands and arms around each other. Their hand placement felt right and the warmth was soothing.
They swayed side to side, turning in a circle. They rested their foreheads against each other's, the tips of their noses rested on each other's.
Chris rubbed Jimmy's hips as Jimmy traces shapes on Chris's neck. He traced the words "I love you" and Chris smiled.
"And I love you."
They looked up and locked their eyes, swaying their hips. Love was strong and noticeable in their eyes.
They closed their eyes as they rested their lips onto each other's.
All the time while he waited for the ceremony, Chris imagined their life together. He could always see Jimmy holding a baby while he rocked in a chair, humming quietly and rubbing their back. He couldn't wait to see him with their child, he knew he would love them with his whole heart like he does with Chris.
Chris brought Jimmy closer and their lips smashed together. They kissed passionately, each feeling happy and complete.
They swayed and swayed, their lips still locked in a kiss.
When they parted, they opened their eyes and smiled when they met each other's gaze.
