《Fuckgirl ✓》02

“Gowon-ah...”
“Baby gowon...”
Chaewon let out a frustrated huff regretting not getting switched out of her second class that she unfortunately shared with Hyejoo who would not leave her alone. She was trying so hard to focus on her teacher's math lesson but couldn't because Hyejoo kept poking her, calling her name, and even threw a few wads on paper.
“Chaewon.... ”
Chaewon whirled around ready to rip the girl's head off. “What?”
“Please forgive me..” Hyejoo poked out her bottom lip in a pout that Chaewon could sadly admit was a little adorable.
“No” Chaewon snapped. “Now leave me alone.”
“At least let me make it up to you.” Hyejoo insisted. “How about that walk on the beach I told you about?”
“How about no.”
“Ohh,” Hyejoo said as if she had eureka moment. “I know what this about. You're jealous about that small moment Yerim and I had this morning. Don't worry, sweetheart. I'm all about you. Well you and a few other people but that's not important.”
“Jealous?” Chaewon actually laughed out loud at the absurd accusation. “You actually said something funny.” Chaewon suddenly grew serious. “Now leave me alone.”
Hyejoo held up her hands in surrender. “Suit yourself.”
The brunette scoffed and turned back in her seat thinking about the insane thought of her being jealous of any girl Hyejoo flirted with. She knew from experience what it was like having Hyejoo try to make her fall victim to her spell and wouldn't wish it on her worst enemy who happened to be Hyejoo herself.
A note flying into her desk pulled Chaewon from her train of thought. She opened up the folded sheet of paper to read:
you're missing your chance sexy xx

Chaewon looked over her shoulder and glared at Hyejoo who gave her a flirtatious wink.
“Fuck you.” Chaewon whispered loud enough for the two of them to hear. She immediately scolded herself for saying it because it gave Hyejoo a chance to say...
“I always knew you wanted to.”

Class with her Hyejoo turned out to be the longest hour of her entire life and Chaewon was just happy to be able to leave that class and go to lunch. She much rather would've preferred going home to sleep rest of the day away and start over but oh well.
“Hey,” Yeojin greeted her as she took a seat at their regular lunch table. “How it's going?”
“Why do I have to be magnet for fuck boys? I'm a good person. Chaewon groaned and allowed her head to fall onto the table. “Fuck my life.”
“It's okay,” Yerim reassured. “We've all had our share of fuckboy experiences.”
“She's about to get another one,” Yeojin stated.
Oh crap. Chaewon didn't have to look up when a presence sat down beside her to know that it was Hyejoo. “I wouldn't lay my head on this table. Who knows what germs are on it.”
“I don't need your advice,” Chaewon hissed. “You know what? Just go away.”
“Come on baby don't—”
“No! You don't!” Chaewon popped her head up finally feeling as if she had reached her breaking point. “Leave me alone! Why can't you get it through your thick skull that I don't like you? I don't want to date you, sleep with you, ”and especially I don't want to be around you. You're nothing but a fuckgirl. So save yourself the time and just Leave. Me. Alone.”
Chaewon felt like as if a weight had been lifted off her of her shoulders. God knows how long she held that in. She looked at her friends expecting them them to be proud for standing her ground only they weren't happy for her. They were too busy giving Hyejoo looks of sympathy. Chaewon finally paid attention to Hyejoo to see that she didn't have the same arrogance of cockiness that she always had. She didn't have any expression on her face. Her eyes on the other hand went from lively to shattered.

“Sorry for bothering you.” Hyejoo stood up and pushed her chair in. “You don't have to worry about it anymore.”
Chaewon actually felt bad watching the other walk out of the lunch room which is the last thing she thought she'd feel after giving Hyejoo a piece of her mind.
“That was a bit harsh,” Yeojin scolded.
“I didn't mean to blow up like that. It's just...” Why had she blown up like that? She had completely lost her cool without a valid reason. “I don't know...”
•~•~•~•~•~•
Hyejoo hurried out of the lunch room to go to the restroom trying convince her burning eyes to not let any tears fall. Those were only words and words didn't affect Hyejoo. She didn't have time to let them affect her being the way she was. She had to admit they sure did hurt a lot more coming from Chaewon though.
Even with her reputation, she had still taken a liking to Chaewon who she thought was nice one point in time. Nice to pretty, pretty to smart, smart to amazing, amazing to she had developed a crush on the girl.
And all she was to her was a fuck girl.
Hyejoo knew that it was partly her fault for flirting with Chaewon all the time in the first place, although she only did that because she didn't know what to say without being the cool, attractive Hyejoo that she was known as.
“I'm such an idiot,” Hyejoo groaned.
In her head, she was stuck in a dilemma. She could change herself and become someone that Chaewon could actually tolerate for a change, or she could stay true to herself and give Chaewon the space that she was craving. After extensive thinking, Hyejoo reached a conclusion.
She was going to have to let her Chaewon go.

A Fractal Divide
Lesivar is a city in ascendancy. With recent innovations in magical crafting, the common people are experiencing a boom in comfort and wealth. The nobility, long used to being the stewards of knowledge and power, struggle to adapt to the new world in which they find themselves. A precarious balance has been maintained throughout, but forces stir beneath the surface threatening to send the city spiraling into chaos. This is my first attempt at writing anything longer than a short story, and I welcome any feedback or corrections. I'm posting this as I write, with each chapter going live upon completion. My current pace is about a chapter a day, which I expect to take my through the end of November. From there, I'm shooting for a chapter every two-three days until the book is completed, along with an editing pass of what is already up. I'm planning on three POV characters with unique insight into the story as it unfolds. Each chapter will contain only one POV. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

The Event Master
It is a reincarnation/transmigration story where the MC can only do magic that is socially condemned, but is protected somewhat by his powerful political station. For as long as he can keep it, anyway. With a little luck and some modern world thinking, perhaps he'll come up with something to change people's minds. Not forcefully though, that would be unethical. ** The MC is not a fighter. He's a gamer. He loves rpgs, movies, modern music, and telling stories. I intend to post at least once a week in the range of 2k words. If work eases up I'll increase the amount again. ((Work has instead intensified to the point where I'm struggling to get a chapter every two weeks. I'll pick it back up properly when I can, but for now it is on temporary hiatus while I still might post every once and awhile. This winter, I plan to go back to regular posts until the story finishes.))
