Chapter 13- "fault"
That night, wheein sang lullabies to her daughter until she gets to sleep. Kissing her forehead before she left her room. Moon byul was home already and was already in their shared room. Wheein walked to the other side of the bed. Resting inside the thick comforter. " I heard what happened earlier," moon byul said out of the blue. Wheein didn't reply and just didn't face moon byul. She will know about it. " Unexpected questions was bombarded to you right?" Moon byul asked. Wheein didn't answer again and just listened to her while her eyes are closed trying to cool off.
"Well you can't blame her, she has her mind now," moon byul said and walked to the coffee table where her whiskey was. Wheein had enough and stood beside the bed facing moon byul who is casually sipping her whiskey. " I know it's my fault ok" wheein shouted her disbelief. Moon byul smirked and stood up. " Now you know what happened can make our daughter miserable" moon byul said before sipping again. " Yes and I get it because of my actions back then, but I wish that we'll just let it go" wheein shouted back to moon byul. Tears are now crawling down her cheeks. Everything she did back then can hurt her and tear her family apart for how many years.
" Do you expect me to leave all that behind? You're the reason why we left and then you're trying to erase all of that?" Moon byul angrily asked she had enough of the whiskey she consumed. That ended up throwing her glass. Again shatters were heard from the silent mansion at night. " You can't expect me Jung wheein because our family collapsed because of you," moon byul said more than trying to push every word inside wheein's mind. " I know, that's why I'm trying to make everything in line again" wheein yelled. Moon byul playfully smirked at her. " Do you things will be better again? Do you think the line we made is still attached to us?" Moon byul asked.

" Yes, because Gabriella is our line, our forever line," wheein said. Moon byul walked to the table again grabbing the whiskey bottle chugging it. Wheein was there just staring at her wife. " Mommy~ Daddy~" A little voice interrupted them. Wheein's anger cooled off when she saw the owner of the voice. She hurriedly ran to her daughter caressing her cheeks. Gabriella was awoken by the loud shouts and glass shatters from her parents' room that's why she walked there peeking at the door frame. She saw her parents arguing perhaps fighting.
She got scared and opened the door wide. She Was trying to call them but she was not heard which made her cry. That's when they cooled off and saw her. " Gabriella" wheein called when her daughter can't stop crying. " Mommy why are you fighting? Don't you love each other?" The baby asked as tears continuously crawl her cheeks. Wheein shakes her head. Moon byul doesn't look at them since she's busy chugging down the whiskey. Her daughter was just staring at her with longing eyes. " Don't think of it baby let's go now and sleep?" wheein said trying to divert her daughter's thoughts out of what she saw.
Wheein walked with Gabriella to her room and started singing her to sleep again. After that, she went back to their room seeing byul at the couch already sleeping while holding the empty whiskey bottle. Wheein cleaned up the mess of her wife. She must have been thinking that's she left her career with hwasa just to have more time with her daughter.
