's soft snoring almost made hyejin fall asleep next to her. almost. the memory of wheein being so close to her, yet so far made hyejin not sleep well. first she takes away my snacks and now my sleep? hyejin grumbled in her thoughts. wanting to flick wheein on her temple, she turned her head and faced the girl consuming her thoughts.

a small arm wrapped around hyejin. the warm arm pulling her body extremely close towards the other. the lion's stomach flipped. hyejin was about to pry wheein's arm off of her before wheein groaned. "i need something to hug," she mumbled. hyejin sat there unmoving. she should probably take wheein's arm off of her, shouldn't she?

wheein is so warm, and hyejin is extremely cold. the girl shivered. hyejin's blanket had been scrunched up on wheein and left nothing on the other. she should probably get another one. the air started to prick at hyejin's arms.

all these things hyejin should do, but at the same time doesn't want too. she shouldn't like wheein. wheein—at most—is straighter than a ruler, and she probably only had feelings for yongsun "wheein-ah," the said girl grumbled. "give me some blanket," wheein kicked at the soft and fluffy blanket sending some to the other girl. "thanks sweetheart," hyejin smirked when wheein's eyes opened.

"could you not? it's morning," wheein groaned and snuggled even closer to hyejin.

but there's that nagging. she can't—not like wheein. wheein was a stubborn, annoying, mean puppy who couldn't stop teasing hyejin. and that's what hyejin can't get enough of, wheein was different. she didn't always agree with hyejin, she fought with her when she didn't think hyejin was right. whether wheein was right or wrong she always stayed to true to her opinions.

that's what hyejin loved about wheein. her honesty. how she can stay true to herself under all this pressure.

hyejin didn't get a blink of sleep, didn't even shut her eyes.

even though her mattress was very comfortable, her soft blanket engulfing her into it's arms and the fluffy pillows massaging her aching head there was one thing keeping her up. wheein's stupid arm.

wheein's warm and inviting arm. it made hyejin feel lots of things, made her stomach churn with butterflies, made her body ten times warmer, and made her feel so calm and peaceful. but under these circumstances, she still was not able to sleep.

wheein was practically bear-hugging her now. the girl's leg's intertwined with the others, arms holding her tight. hyejin could barely move.

hyejin's heart kept thumping inside her chest. her cheeks flushed red, and body feeling warmer than usual. she needs to get wheein off of her before she gets a heart attack. hyejin looked over at the girl. she looked so calm and happy, how could she take away wheein's arms and legs?

the sun had risen, pouring light into the room and painting the walls a deep orange. it was strange, hyejin never woke so early to see this (then again hyejin didn't even sleep). hyejin looked over, it was as if the sun was kissing wheein's skin. her porcelain body was shining, her face embodied peace. wheein was radiating. hyejin wished for the heat spreading on her face to disappear.

wheein grumbled, finally removing her body from hyejin's to turn to the other side. hyejin felt somewhat cold, as if the air was picking at her skin. this gave hyejin the opportunity to finally get up and brush her teeth (even though she didn't want too).

her heart tugged at the feeling of wheein. she wanted to cuddle with wheein once more, but her ego wouldn't let her.

even though hyejin didn't sleep at all, her body was energized. it was like she could run three marathons and still be able to beat everybody (maybe it was the adrenaline pulsing through her veins because of wheein's earlier bear-hugging, but hyejin would completely disagree and argue).

"why are you up so early?" the short girl groaned and stretched her small limbs. wheein's dark strands of hair fell on top of her face. "i dunno," hyejin shrugged and continued to brush her teeth.

wheein felt like her body was frigid and the warm that surrounded her body disappeared.

the older poked her head up and looked around. "what time is it?" hyejin glanced at the girl. "check your phone," wheein replied with an eye roll and opened her phone.

10:27 a.m.

wheein's eyes bulged out of her head "we're gonna be late!" she jumped out of the bed and scrambled towards the bathroom, pushing hyejin out. "yah! let me back in," hyejin did nothing to open the door, rather she looked through her closet and searched for clothes.

hyejin was confused on why wheein was so frantic. she was just missing a few hours of school anyway.

the door finally opened. wheein's dark hair flowed gracefully down her shoulders, her skin was glowing and the small dimple on her cheek proudly stood out. "you should stop staring, it's not good for your ego," hyejin rolled her eyes and picked out an outfit.

"you can wear whatever you'd like, as long as you don't steal all my clothes," wheein gasped. "i would never!" she feigned hurt. "who knows? you could be a killer for all i know and you'd steal all my belongings," wheein stuck her tongue out. "you little—" hyejin threw a shirt at wheein's face, hitting her in the middle of the face.

"go wear it," a cute angry face laid onto wheein's facial features.

the girl took some jeans and went towards the bathroom and changed. as hyejin was in the middle of stripping off her shirt, the smaller walked out of the bathroom. "oh—uh—i—uhm," wheein covered her eyes with her hands. "sorry!" the girl walked backwards quickly hitting her head on the side of the door.

she finally got past the barrier and closed the door. her cheeks were flushed and she suddenly felt very warm. "you—uh done?" hyejin laughed and screamed in affirmation. wheein poked her head out of the door and awkwardly walked out of the door.

hyejin thought wheein's was adorable. her duality was very intriguing.

the confident and cool wheein had quickly left the door, leaving an awkward and quiet wheein here to stay with hyejin. hyejin loved both sides of her, they both were so cute.

"let's go before we're even more late," wheein nodded and left the door. why is she acting so weird? we're both girls? hyejin thought. the two girls both arrived at school extremely late. "this is going to ruin my record," wheein whined. "not my fault you woke up late," "you woke up late too!"

wheein looked at the girl in a way that if looks could kill, hyejin would be six feet under.

hyejin waved wheein goodbye before she could attack the girl. "see ya!" hyejin lazily saluted. a small cheeky smile laid onto hyejin's mouth. as the girl walked into the classroom, all eyes were on her. "ms. ahn you are very late," the teacher's intense stare buried holes into her body.

"sorry i overslept," the dark circles under her eyes were thankfully covered by concealer but hyejin was very, very tired. hyejin took a seat right next to byulyi "you did not oversleep," byul whispered to hyejin. "if you did, you wouldn't have even came to school today," she accused "i have no idea what you mean,"

that was true, if you looked through hyejin's record you could see that her absences were very large.

"hey, how did you convince glasses to see us?" hyejin shrugged. "she agreed, but it looked like she was uncomfortable for the first half of the dinner," byul nodded at that. "i know for a fact that yongsun unnie and wheein have a past way farther than what she's been telling us," byul's fists tightens.

"i think so too. but, we shouldn't assume right?" byul sighed in defeat. "i'm just mad that yong would keep this from me. we've been friends since we were diapers," hyejin felt like she should've stopped herself "but do you think of her as your friend?" the lion looked at the girl.

byul looked so broken. if any other girl would've came up to them, this whole persona would change. she would've became greasy byulyi. underneath her gross persona, byulyi was hurt and all that hurt was because of one person. kim yongsun.

but, she looked relieved. it was as if a heavy burden was placed off her shoulders. byul didn't need to hide her feelings anymore "what do i do hyejin-ah," byul laid her head onto hyejin's shoulder. despite the teacher's teaching the two had blocked it out "you tell her your feelings." byul glanced at hyejin "are you going to tell wheein?"

hyejin looked at the girl in thought.

"yeah,"
