sighed dramatically. "why do we have to go all out?" she asked the younger. "i'm trying to look good," hyejin stuck her tongue out. "i don't have anything to wear. i might look stupid next you," wheein swiped her phone. "you can wear one of my shirts,"

(wheein wore a white old tee that was very oversized with ripped jeans (hyejin thought she was adorable, but she would never admit it). the girl looked like an adorable short dumpling, but it wasn't very fitting for a night out type of hangout.)

hyejin looked through her cavern of clothes. "how about this one?" hyejin threw the blouse at wheein. it was a white blouse with pink flowers that looked like it was growing onto the shirt. there were ruffles on the side of the blouse. "uh i don't know—" hyejin shushed her "it'll look great on you,"

wheein rolled her eyes and walked towards the bathroom.

she tore off her oversized shirt and put on the blouse. her eyes looked at the blouse. it was a little bit see through, but not too much. the shirt was tight on her torso, but loose on the arms. in short, wheein looked drop dead gorgeous.

the shorter walked out of the door. "you look great," hyejin stared at wheein. the lion really did think wheein looked beautiful. "shut up," wheein looked in the other direction. cute hyejin smiled at the black-haired.

hyejin noticed something she hadn't before, wheein was wearing contacts. without her glasses wheein looked for feminine and mature, but with, she looked fluffy and cute. hyejin wanted to squish her cheeks, but oddly refrained.

"stop staring," wheein let out a proud smile, even her dimple looked like it would equal her smile. "i wasn't staring," hyejin huffed. "what're you wearing?" wheein laid down on hyejin's bed, rethinking what they did that day. "this," hyejin held up the piece.

hyejin was gonna wear a black tight shirt that had spaghetti straps. because of the cold, she wore a thick, black coat over herself. hyejin paired this with navy blue jeans. she too looked gorgeous.

"let's go," wheein nodded and tore her eyes from her phone, finally drinking in hyejin. "now you're the one staring," hyejin smiled in victory. "so you admit you were staring," "nope,"

hyejin shouted "gunshot!" before wheein could even suggest driving. "how come i'm always driving?" wheein crossed her arms. "you would really trust me on the road?" wheein looked at her. "i see your point,"

the moment the two arrived there, hyejin could sense wheein's discomfort. "you didn't have to come if you didn't want to," hyejin slipped her hand between them. they weren't holding hands, but the back of hyejin's hand was pressed against the back of wheein's.

"jinnie!" byul waved at the two. "byul!" hyejin linked arms with wheein and dragged her towards the table. "wheein this is byulyi and yongsun. yongsun and byulyi this is wheein," hyejin looked so smiley, it was weird to wheein.

wheein bowed and took a seat across from byul, next to hyejin. hyejin intertwined their fingers underneath the table while conversing with byulyi. "..and i somehow managed to stub my toe!" hyejin and yongsun burst out laughing, wheein broke out a small smile.

wheein hadn't heard her laugh in such a long time.

the waitress came towards the table. "what would you like?" the four pointed towards the good looking food. "what are your hobbies?" byul asked wheein. "oh, uh i dunno drawing, singing," wheein said on the top of her head, forgetting how tight she was squeezing hyejin's hand.

"ooh, you must be amazing at both," byul smiled at the dimple on wheein's cheek. "you should really stop flirting with every girl you see," yongsun looked at byul in such a way that reminded wheein how she used to look at her.

"what? i was being nice," yongsun rolled her eyes. "what is your definition of nice?" "do you want me to compliment you?" yongsun looked offended. "i have no idea what you mean,"

byul looked at yongsun liked she was her world, as if they were revolving around each other. if only yong wasn't so stubborn she'd be in a happy relationship. "aw, don't be jealous," yongsun was about to say another comeback but the delicious smell of food distracted her.

oddly, wheein and yongsun weren't awkward with each other. there was no anger.

hyejin's eyes lit up while looking at her dish, she let go of wheein's hand and picked up her spoon to devour her meal.

wheein's hand felt cold and empty.

the puppy's head laid onto hyejin's shoulder. "you're shoulder is comfy," wheein snuggled closer to hyejin's neck. her hot breath smothering hyejin's neck, her cold body melting. hyejin's heart thumped erratically, her breath equally terrified. their hands had found each others and intertwined.

"hey, we're going home wheeinie," hyejin rubbed wheein's thumb. "okay," she grumbled. yong was studying the two. hyejin put down some cash and linked arms with wheein again. "i'll drive,"

"you're gonna crash us," wheein whined. "and you will too if you drive," hyejin cooed. "so either way we're dead," hyejin chuckled, she can feel wheein grin. "trust me, short one," "you better be thankful I'm tired or i'd beat you,"

hyejin smiled as wheein and her got into the car. as hyejin drove she realized she had no idea where wheein's house was. "wheeinie?" the girl glanced over at the other. she was silently snoring, and her mouth was wide open. hyejin smiled at the cute girl.

i guess i can take her to my house hyejin thought.

she drove the girl towards her small house. hyejin woke wheein up. "hm?" wheein groaned. "where are we?" wheein's eyes were barely opened. "my house," the girl closed her eyes. "you can stay for the night. i'm sure my parents wouldn't mind," hyejin opened the door for the sleepy puppy.

"alright," wheein stumbled out of the door and slumped. god she was tired, more so because it was close to two in the morning. wheein wondered how long they stayed at the restaurant. hyejin guided the girl towards her room, greeting her mother and informing her about wheein.

"here wear this," wheein nodded lazily, eyes still shut. she quickly went into the bathroom and wore the pajamas. they were a tad too large for her, she was back to a short dumpling.

wheein flopped onto the bed. "do you have a toothbrush?" hyejin nodded. "here you go first," wheein—using her very tired body got up quickly finished.

she quickly and quietly cuddled into the warm sheets and fell asleep. hyejin got up to go brush her teeth as well.

when they arrived at hyejin's home, her mother greeted her. "hyejin-ah whose this?" the lion gave an introduction and quickly dragged wheein towards her room. "i'm exhausted!" wheein exclaimed. "i slept at like three yesterday," "why?" hyejin asked as the two were lying on the bed.

"because i missed my shift at work," wheein rubbed her eyes. hyejin now realized the dark circled beneath them. "you can nap if you want," hyejin pulled out her phone. "that's the thing. i can't sleep," wheein's voice very annoyed.

hyejin looked at the girl. "that must suck for you," wheein glared at the other. "anyway, how's your day?" wheein placed her cheek on the soft pillow, her body very close to drifting off to slumber. "the same it's always been," "you should change things up once in awhile." wheein sighed. "i have nothing to change about my life,"

"we should hang out more then," wheein looked at the girl. "how about we hang out after school again? today's been fun. hasn't it?" wheein nodded. "we can go anywhere you want," "how about the Han River?" hyejin thought for a second.

"what would we there?" wheein looked at the ceiling. "uh, hang out?" "you're such a grandma wheein," hyejin chuckled at the girl. the shorter just scoffed and ran a hand through her hair. "call me what you want, but if you even smile tomorrow you're buying me lunch," hyejin gasped dramatically.

"no!" "yes," let's be honest who can argue against wheein and win? ahn hyejin definitely couldn't "fine," wheein's face brightened up. hyejin wish she could've taken a picture and kept it forever. "'m hungry," wheein whined.

"we're going to dinner in a few," hyejin rolled her eyes. "do you have snacks," "i am not sharing my snacks with you," "come on jinnie," there was one thing that hyejin could never give away. her food.

wheein got up and sat next to hyejin. her knee dangerously close too hyejin, way too close for friendship. "can i have some jinnie?" hyejin looked at the girl.

she's so different.

"y—yeah of course," hyejin jumped from her sat position. "you can have all my snacks, geez," hyejin joked off the feeling. wheein cheekily smiled "thanks jinnie," "don't call me that,"

her heart beat faster in her chest at the memory. she shouldn't hang out with wheein, wouldn't yongsun be angry at her? but would it be selfish for yongsun to not let her be with wheein? or would it be selfish for hyejin to not care about yongsun?

hyejin looked at the cute puppy lying on the bed and smiled. god—what was wheein doing to her?
