looks out at her history class. the students were all talking to each other, the class was loud. byulyi and yongsun were practically her only friends—though she would never admit how much she cared for them.

usually, byulyi would bug hyejin but today byul decided that annoying yongsun was more important than entertaining hyejin. "yah stop being so greasy!" yong slapped byul's arm. "i'm just telling you how pretty you are, geez," byul feigned hurt as she rubbed her arm.

"stop flirting with eachother," hyejin was close to having her eyes stuck in the back of her head from rolling her eyes so much.

"we're not flirting!" yong whisper-screamed. hyejin—once again—rolled her eyes. as the lioness scanned the room a particular girl stood out.

her black hair flowing down her petite shoulder, glasses perched up on her nose. the girl was known as 'the most intelligent person in school' as her grades were always up.

hyejin smirked. she was bored, why not have some fun?

the lion thrived in knowing every girl wanted to be her and every boy wanted her. she walked over, stopping in front of the smart girls desk.

"hey there i'm hwasa," she used her signature smirk. "wheein," the girl nonchalantly kept reading her book.

for the first time in her high school year she had been ignored. "uh whatcha doin?" the 'wheein' girl looked up from her book. "what does it look like i'm doing?" she glanced at hyejin then went back to reading her book.

a small fire lit in hyejin that day. whatever hyejin wants, hyejin gets and for the first time in a long time—she wants wheein.

"what book—," "if you're trying to befriend me, it isn't working. class is about to start, you should get back to your friends," wheein set down her book to take out her academic one.

hyejin thought for a moment before walking back to her desk, and gathered her books. byulyi looked at her confused. hyejin sighed and said "i'm sitting with glasses over there," she shrugged her shoulder in the direction of the girl. "see you later" yongsun lazily saluted. hyejin sat at the empty seat next to the girl.

wheein stared at her for a second, it was like curiosity and annoyance all in one look. wheein looked over at the teacher and stopped paying attention to hyejin for the rest of class.

hyejin was confused. how could this quiet, nerd, book-worm, AND meanie be noticeable to hyejin. it was very odd.

wheein's face turned sour and her lips contorted in a way that was cute, yet intimidating. "stop that," hyejin turned her head like a lost puppy. "stop what?" she teased. wheein groaned. there was at least five more minutes of class, and wheein wanted nothing more than to leave this class.

"yah! it's rude to tell me to stop, but not answer me," the lioness pouted. "stop staring. also don't pout, you aren't cute," wheein packed up her books. hyejin let out a smirk. "that was mean," hyejin was holding herself back from poking the girls' dimple.

the two sat in an awkward silence. "so," wheein sighed. "i thought we silently agreed to stop talking to each other," wheein's arms crossed. "wha—,"

the bell rung, signaling that wheein could take her leave. "wait!" hyejin was determined to talk to this girl. the raven haired practically ran out of there, thinking she lost the annoying girl.

"yah! ahn hye—," hyejin interruppted "hwasa," "you were about to leave us!" yongsun pouted. "you just cost me a girl," hyejin held her books in the curve of her arm, leaving her right hand to run through her long hair. "oh, who is the lioness gonna prey on now?" byulyi teased.

"name's wheein," hyejin coolly said. yongsun grew tense. "..as in..jung wheein?" byulyi looked over at her best friend kinda girlfriend but not really. "what is it?" she asked. "oh—it's nothing. really!" she shrugged.

"whatever you say unnie," hyejin pulled out her other needed books. "meet you guys in math," she waved at the two.

hyejin started to wonder. why did yongsun take that so oddly hyejin thought. "ms. ahn you're late today," the teacher scolded hyejin. "aren't i late everyday?" hyejin sat in her seat lazily. see—hyejin isn't exactly the best student in the entire world. more like she's trying (but in reality she isn't really trying) to do her best.

"one more time ms. ahn, or—," "yeah, yeah you'll tell my parents," hyejin rolled her eyes. the teacher did not look like he was putting up with hyejin's behavior. hyejin sat throughout class. she was so bored. "sir, can i go to the bathroom?" the teacher looked at her unfazed "not in the middle of my lesson," hyejin rolled her eyes.

what if i actually needed to pee hyejin thought.

"hwasa," hyejin looked up. "wha?" she smiled "what's the answer to my question," hyejin shrugged. "pay attention," the lioness rolled her eyes and continued to not pay attention.

there was at least three more minutes of class."ms. ahn let's talk outside," hyejin got up. "you need to pay attention in my class," the teacher crossed his arms. "look, i really am trying my hardest to pay attention, but your class has got to be one of the most life draining classes i've got,"

the teacher had actually looked hurt.

"do not disrespect me ms. ahn," hyejin smirked. "would never dream of it," the teacher sighed "ms. ahn, get your grade up," that finally hit some nerve in hyejin. "sir, it's probably not even me right now. all my classes are c's. it's only your class, maybe because your teaching is terrible—" the teacher stared at hyejin and interrupted her.

"go to the principal's office. right now," hyejin inwardly groaned and got up to leave.

what a pain.

her hand turned the cold doorknob. "ahn hyejin?" the principal looked at her in a disapproving way. "back again so soon?" she interrogated hyejin. "just missed your office so much,"

"look ms. ahn. if you keep up this behavior then we can't have you attend this school,"now hyejin was listening. "is there a way to help out my school record?" hyejin didn't want to leave her only—but best friends in the world. "we can set you up with a tutor. you're grades could be," the principal hesitated. "better," hyejin was about to frown.

okay, hyejin looked and sounded like she didn't care about her academic. but in reality she puts in at least ten percent. the thought of being forced to go to another school frightened the girl in ways she couldn't put it to words.

"who's my tutor?" the principal thought for a moment.

"jung wheein,"
