This is overrated. The characters are often wrote out of character, which is perfectly normal it's fan fiction it doesn't have to be perfect. The people that ship it can often be toxic. Calling others homophobic if they ship Laurens with anyone other than Alexander which takes the fun out it.

Historically, it's debatable. It was common for men to frequent conversation of their mistresses or women they'd like to deflower. I'm not shutting it down they could have been handsy no one really knows. It has been confirmed that Alexander was on the lgbt spectrum which label specifically we don't know, though he's rumoured to be bisexual.

This is wonderful. Powerfully worded. Moving. Eloquent. Gay. When first reading this letter you are in a rightful place to assume they had a thing. It has never been proved that they had a romantic history and it is rumoured that letters between the two were burnt due to the vulgar detail. However, if you look at other letters between Alexander and other people. Cough, Angelica, Cough. You'd understand Alexander had, a way with words.

Thus leading to the mixup of a platonic friendship into something, well, gay. I'm not saying it is a mix up, if they were gay they were gay. So be it. Just thought I'd provide some facts this time.
