Epilogue

Opening my eyes from my sleepy state, I was met with the white ceiling that I stared at many times as I thought of whatever crossed my mind. I pushed my stare away from the blank ceiling and looked out my window, seeing the sun shine right through it, lighting up my boring room.

Rubbing my eyes, I sat straight and looked at my clock, seeing the time. As soon as I saw that it was 9 AM, a sigh escaped my mouth. Getting up, I ran my hand over my hair and face as I thought about today.

Today's the day.

I walked towards my closet and opened it, picking out something random that would go good with today's event. I placed the dress on my bed and stared at it for a good five seconds before shrugging my shoulders.

"I guess this will do," I muttered to myself, closing the closet doors, before walking towards the bathroom. As soon as I entered my bedroom bathroom, I was greeted with a reflection of myself. I stared at my sleepy and caveman state as I observed my tiring features.

The dark bags under my eyes couldn't go unnoticed from the lack of sleep that overcame me these couple of days. I guess the stress of the Luna role was eating me up. I insisted on helping Mason with his business and pack meetings since you know, I am the Luna and should act like one. And the outcome of that was less sleep.

I wasn't complaining though, I wanted this and I won't go back on it.

I glanced at myself one more time before shrugging my shoulders. "There's nothing makeup can't do," I murmured, opening the sink, letting the cold water flow as I splattered some onto my face. A yawn managed to escape my lips, making me rub my tired eyelids and run a hand through my messy, tangled hair.

After doing my business and cleaning up, I walked out of the bathroom and changed into the dress that lied on my undone bed. After I had it fully on, I fixed my hair and looked at the mirror that lied on my wall. Feeling satisfied, I nodded my head and walked towards my bedroom desk.

Grabbing the blue bracelet that had the writing 'Best Friends' on it, I wore it and smiled to myself. I wore the bracelet every single day and took great care of it, a reminder of Ameer's friendship that he never lied about. I sighed out and glanced at the blue bracelet that wrapped around my wrist one more time before walking towards my bedroom door and straight out the doors.

Walking through the silent hallway, I noticed that there were barely any pack members out. A couple of them walked past me, greeting me with a respectful smile that I also returned. As I walked through the packhouse, I saw John and crystal sitting together on the couch, cuddling as they watched whatever was on the tv.

I smiled up at them and Crystal waved at me. Returning the wave, John glanced at me and only nodded his head in respect, before turning back his attention to the tv.

I smiled softly, knowing that John didn't quite hate me anymore. These past few months that went by, I've gotten closer with Crystal since Lina wasn't here anymore, and by that, John had to accept the fact that I was her friend and his Luna. I could tell that behind that hard face of his was a soft one, that he only felt comfortable in showing that to his mate.

I still hung out with Tyler and Ryder, but it just didn't feel the same anymore without Lina. However, they always try to make it seem like nothing changed, and I know deep down in them, they were very happy for Lina.

I brought my attention away from them and walked towards the kitchen to grab myself a glass of water before I made my way to Mason's office that I predicted he was in right at this moment.

After greeting Anna and drinking water, I exited the kitchen and walked down the hallway, making my way towards Mason's office. As I walked down the hall, I saw a man's figure running right towards me, looking frantic and scared. I furrowed my brows as I saw his red face and sweaty features.

Stopping in my tracks, I faced the man that wasn't too far away from me and tilted my head in confusion.

"Ameer?" I questioned, raising a brow in confusion as I studied the nervousness that engulfed his face. "What are you doing?" He immediately stopped dead in his tracks and whipped his head over at me, inhaling a deep breath before speaking.

"What does it look like I'm doing?" He asked, running his hands over his face. "I'm getting the hell out of here." And with that, he ran past me and down the hall. My brows narrowed as I turned around and stared at a running Ameer that slowly disappeared from my sight.

Feeling curious, I walked after him. Walking towards his room, I heard him shouting out curse words as he mumbled some other stuff. Furrowing my brows, I stuck my head in his room and frowned as soon as I saw Ameer shoving his clothes in a suitcase.

Slowly, I walked into his room and crossed my arms against my chest, clearing my throat so I could grab his attention. However, he didn't acknowledge my presence and continued to shove random clothing in the big suitcase.

Coughing this time, he didn't spare me a single glance. I rolled my eyes and walked up to him, placing myself in front of his sight.

"Ameer," I spoke lowly. He continued what he was doing as I stood there, feeling like I was transparent. "Ameer," I spoke louder this time, poking his back.

No response.

Shaking my head, I ran a hand over my face.

"Ameer," I yelled, making him jump back from shock before he whipped his head towards me, looking at me weirdly.

"What?" He questioned, standing up straight and staring at me. "You're wasting my time, Tiana," he groaned out. "The devil is going to be here anytime soon and I need to be 100 miles away from her when she arrives." I gave him a disbelieving look before shaking my head at his dramatic behavior.

"Seriously, Ameer?" I breathed out, stepping a step closer to him. "You're still afraid of her?" He gave me a disbelieving look and shook his head, crossing his arms against his chest.

"I'm not afraid of her," he argued. "I just don't want to be anywhere near her. The last time I saw her she gave me a goodbye kick in the balls as a farewell present." I rolled my eyes and shook my head once again. "She's a devil I tell you. I'm still shocked by the fact that a devil like her has been granted the chance of having a soulmate."

"Aren't you an angel now?" I asked, raising a brow. "Doesn't that mean you can fight off any devil?" His features dropped before he placed his finger under his chin and thought. After a moment, he placed his hand back to his side and shook his head drastically.

"No, that doesn't mean shit," he spoke out, running his hands over his face. "I take that back. She's not a devil. She's Satan herself. And this angel cannot fight off Satan." He went back to shoving his clothes back into the suitcase, making me roll my eyes for the hundredth time today. I gripped his shoulder and made him look at me.

"Where do you plan on going then?" I questioned.

He stopped and shrugged his shoulders. "I don't know. Anywhere away from here," Ameer responded. Rolling my eyes, I gripped onto his ear, making him yelp in shock.

"Listen, Ameer," I spoke out threateningly. "You will be staying and making amends with Lina, do I make myself clear?" He frowned severally and dramatically shook his head.

"But-"

"No buts," I caught him off. "You will stay or else I will make Lina track you down and give you a hello kick in the balls as a greeting present." He sighed out in defeat and slowly nodded his head.

"Fine," he grunted. "I'll stay, but she ain't getting anywhere near me." I nodded and his frown grows into a smile.

"Great," he mused out before pulling me in for a hug. "How are you, best friend?" He asked. I chuckled before pulling away, nodding my head.

"I'm good," I responded. "How about you? Are you still facing troubles with the angel side effects?" He smiled and shook his head.

"Thankfully, no," Ameer answered. "I felt weird at first but these three months went by fast. I guess you can say I'm used to it now." I smiled up at him and nodded my head, feeling relieved.

"That's good," I breathed out in relief. "I was afraid you'd never get used to it and blame me." I softly frowned and glanced at the ground. Ameer immediately made me look up at him and shook his head, giving me a small smile.

"Tiana, did you forget that you saved my life? If it wasn't for your angel powers, then I'd be six feet underground," Ameer stated, making me shake my head.

"Well, if it wasn't for me in the first place, then you wouldn't have gotten injected with silver," I pointed out, before sighing. "I'm just glad that you're ok, even though I completely lost my angel side." Ameer nodded his head and placed his hand on my shoulder, squeezing it in a comforting manner.

Three months went by since that day and it feels just like yesterday, the day when Ameer also became a member of our pack for his courageous act. Everything went by so fast and I still cannot believe what happened.

I could still remember everything in detail.

"Let me go," I cried, trying to release myself from Mason's tight grip. "I need to see him, maybe I can still save him," I begged. Mason looked down at me with sad eyes but slowly shook his head.

"Tiana," he whispered softly. "You can't, he's already dead."

I drastically shook my head in disbelief as I processed his words. "No, he won't die," I argued, a tear falling down my cheek. "I won't allow it." I pulled myself from Mason's grip and took a step back, before facing the guard that told me the news.

"Where is he?" I asked. He glanced at Mason's, who took a deep breath then nodded his head. The guard told me to follow him and that's when I ran to where his body was. I inhaled a sharp breath as I saw Ameer's still body lying in the distance.

I immediately ran up to him and kneeled down towards him, a couple of tears falling out my already wet eyes from his sight. I shook my head as I saw his pale features. "You won't die," I whispered before placing my hands onto his still chest and concentrated all my energy on him.

After a moment of hard concentration and pain, I felt like I was about to pass out any moment now. Glancing down at Ameer, I felt my heart stop as I saw that nothing has changed. Slowly pulling my hands away from his chest, a lonely tear fell onto Ameer's face.

I closed my eyes for a moment, before slowly opening them to see a conscious Ameer right in front of me. My eyes widened but before I could say anything, Sam came running towards us. I glanced at Ameer, who had his eyes open, but his body was still.

"Ameer?" I breathed out, hope in my voice.

He remained silent, not even looking at me. I whipped my head over to Sam, who was by my side at the moment, aiding Ameer.

"Sam, what happened?" I questioned, worried. "What's wrong with him?"

Sam stood silent for a moment before looking over at me with wide eyes. "What?" I asked, getting nervous.

"He's alive," he said, making me smile. "But he's not a werewolf anymore. You powered all your energy onto him. He took your angel."

I exited Ameer's room and started walking towards Mason's office. As I walked down the hall, my eyes were shut as two hands covered them, making me stop.

"Who is it?" The person asked from behind me, making me smile.

"Umm..." I murmured, placing my finger under my chin. "Let me guess, the queen of England?" I wondered, feeling my lips curve into a smile.

"Ah ah," the voice spoke, making my smile grow. "But you're close though." Tapping my finger on my chin and acting as if I was thinking, I spoke.

"The queen of stupidity?" I shot. "I'm sure that's the right answer." The hands that covered my eyes disappeared from my sight and an offended looking Adam came into sight.

"What's that supposed to mean?" He asked, crossing his arms against his chest. I let out a laugh before shaking my head. "Are you calling me a woman? Correction, Tiana. It's the king of stupidity." Another laugh escaped my lips as Adam's lips curved upwards.

"Well, at least you finally admitted it," I pointed out, making him roll his eyes.

"Yeah yeah, whatever," he muttered before hanging his arm around my shoulder. "What are you up to?"

"I'm heading towards Mason's office so I could force him to get ready," I responded. "Since you know, he isn't too fond over the fact that Asher and he are going to be having a family dinner." Adam slowly nodded his head.

"I understand where he's coming from," Adam spoke, looking down at me. "The poor guy had to hand his sister over to a vampire alpha. That's nothing to be happy about. And you know, since vampires and werewolves are mortal enemies, he wouldn't want one sitting on his dinner table."

Rolling my eyes, I slapped his arm. "Did you forget that this vampire is Lina's mate? Mason has to deal with it," I spoke. "I would've expected you to understand since you know, you have a mate of your own." Adam's lips broke out into a smile before he nodded his head.

"Yeah yeah," Adam muttered.

"So how are you and Cara going?" I asked him. He smiled before answering.

"We're doing great. Stronger and stronger by day."

My smile grew as I heard his response. Thanks to Cara, Adam lived that day. Adam and she immediately clicked and Mason let her join the pack even though she was a rogue. I was sure that as soon as Adam laid eyes on Cara, that everything he had for me disappeared and Cara was his first priority.

I wanted Adam to stay happy, and I'm sure Cara could provide that.

"That's good," I told him, before stepping away from him. "I need to go now, the sooner the better." Adam offered me one last nod before I walked away. After a while, I was in front of Mason's office. Inhaling, I could smell his scent from behind here.

Gripping onto the doorknob, I twisted it and entered the room, facing a grumpy looking Mason sitting on his chair. His head snapped over to me and he sat up straight as I closed the door behind me and walked up to him.

"Aww," I cooed. "Is my little bear grumpy?" He raised a brow at me before grabbing onto my hand, pulling me towards him, and engulfing me in a hug. A low growl escaped his chest before he dug his nose into my hair, inhaling my scent.

"Yes," he muttered, pulling away. I smiled and shook my head, cupping his face in my hands and giving him a small peck.

"Don't be. You're seeing your sister today," I pointed out. He huffed out and shrugged his shoulders like a three-year-old.

"I'm seeing my sister with a man," he grunted. "A vampire to be exact."

"A half-vampire," I pointed out. He huffed out again and shrugged his shoulders.

"Same thing," he muttered.

"It's ok, honey. It's only for dinner." I smiled up at him. He slowly nodded his head and wrapped his arms around my waist, pulling me towards his chest.

"I know," Mason muttered. "Just don't blame me if he ends up with a broken nose." My eyes widened and I immediately shook my head.

"No no no," I argued, shaking my pointer finger in front of his face. "No one is ending up with a broken nose today." Mason's lips twitched upwards as he looked hesitant.

"I don't promise anything," he grumbled. "As long as you're by my side, I'm calm." My lips broke out into a smile.

"I'd never leave your side," I whispered, making him smile.

"You better not."

My smile grew as I laid my forehead against his. "I love you," I spoke softly. His smile grew before he placed a gentle kiss on my lips.

"I love you more."

"Mason?" I called out, knocking on our bedroom door. "You ready? I swear, if you're not, then I won't hesitate to come in there and dress you myself." All of a sudden, the door flew open, catching me off guard. A well dressed Mason stood behind it, smirking down at me.

"I wouldn't mind," Mason mused out, making me roll my eyes. I crossed my arms against my chest and shook my head.

"Let's get downstairs already," I muttered out. "They'll be here any minute now." Mason nodded his head and grabbed my hand in a soft grip, before pulling me towards the hallway and down the stairs. As soon as we took the last step, the doorbell rang.

I looked at Mason, knowing that they arrived. Mason nodded his head and pulled me towards the door. Thankfully, everyone left us alone. They were all in their rooms or somewhere else, knowing that we wanted some family privacy.

As soon as we were in front of the door, I could smell Lina's scent. Smiling, I opened the door to see a well dressed Lina next to a natural-looking Asher who had his hand on her waist. Lina's lips curved up in a smile as soon as she saw me before she pulled me into a tight bear hug that left me gasping for air.

Chuckling, I pulled away and greeted her, before moving aside and letting her hug her brother. As soon as they pulled away, I glanced at Asher.

"Hello, Asher," I greeted. "Thank you for coming along." He glanced at me before nodding his head in respect, then grabbing Lina and pulling her to his side. I smiled at them both and couldn't help thinking how cute they were.

Lina always wanted a mate. And now she got one.

"Come in," I spoke out, stepping aside to let them enter. Asher nodded his head as Lina smiled from ear to ear before they entered the packhouse.

"Goodness," Lina whispered as we walked down the hallway. "I truly miss this place."

"We miss you, Lina," I told her, before smiling. "Especially, Ameer. He misses you a lot." Her eyes narrowed before a smirk crawled onto her lips.

"That better be sarcasm because if it isn't, then the feeling isn't mutual," Lina muttered, making me chuckle.

"The poor guy was so close in packing his bags and leaving as soon as he heard you were coming," I stated. Lina laughed out as we all walked towards the dining room. Shaking her head, we entered the room which the table was already ready.

Before we even got a chance to sit down, Ameer came walking into the dining room, sipping coffee out of a mug. We all turned to look at him as he walked in, not aware of our presence. Ameer all of a sudden went stiff before he slowly turned his head towards us.

His eyes went wide as soon as they laid eyes on Lina. His mouth hung open as he spilled a little coffee onto himself. "Shit," he cursed. "I completely forgot." And with that, he ran outside the room, leaving us standing there looking at his retreating body.

"See what I mean?" I said to Lina, making her smile.

"I see." I glanced at Asher to see him looking questioningly at Lina, who just smiled at him and grabbed his hand. Mason cleared his throat and indicated that we should all sit down and begin.
