Chapter 47
"What?" I yelled as I walked up to Mason. Mason snapped his head over to me and gave me a warning look, telling me not to interfere. My frown deepened severally and I gripped onto his arm. "You can't do that Mason!"
Mason shook his head and glared at me. "I can and I will."
I bit my lip as I felt my vision blurred. I forced my eyes to keep the eye contact we were maintaining as I felt my heart break. No. This can't be happening. Adam couldn't leave me. He couldn't. Mason gave me another warning look before glaring back at Adam, who was looking at is with wide eyes.
"No," I whispered, my heart breaking at the thought of Adam and I separating. Adam and I were never separated. We were glued by the hip ever since we were small. "Please, Mason! Don't." Mason growled out and grabbed my arm in a tight grip, but not tight enough to hurt me.
"Tiana, the only other choice he has is death. I'm giving him the easy way out," he growled lowly, making more tears fall out of my eyes.
"Ok," Adam spoke, causing us to look over at him. I stared at him in shock as he nodded his head, "I'll do it. I'll serve this pack." Mason nodded his head and walked closer to him. I walked closer to him as well, staring at those two in disbelief.
"How? He's not even ready! He's a pack warrior in training. That could bring him trouble!" I yelled, worried that something would happen to my best friend. Mason shook his head, a deep growl emerging from within his chest.
"Nick claims that he's one of the best. So he's more than ready," Mason argued. I looked at Adam and he gave me a soft smile, nodding his head.
"He's right, Tiana. I'll be just fine. Don't worry about me," Adam whispered, causing a tear to fall out of my eye.
"I don't want you to leave," I whispered, choking on my own breath as more tears fell out. Adam gave me a sad smile and right then and there I ran up to him and hugged him. Thankfully, Mason didn't try to stop me. I wrapped my arms around him and cried.

Since Adam's hands were tied, he wasn't able to hug me back. He just placed the tip of his chin on the top of my head as I cried into his chest. I knew if other people were in my situation they wouldn't have forgiven him. I bet if people knew about my situation they would have thought that I was delusional for forgiving him, but I did. He meant so much to me, and if they knew what I've been through and what he experienced with me, then they would understand.
"It's ok, Tiana," Adam whispered. I looked up at him to see his eyes water as he smiled down at me. "I won't be gone forever. I'll be back as soon as possible."
I nodded my head and wiped the messy tears that stuck to my cheek. Mason walked closer to us and grabbed me by the arm, pulling me away from Adam. I shot him a glare before pulling my arm out of his grip. Immediately, two guards walked into the cell, making us look at them.
"Take him down," Mason muttered to them lowly. They nodded their heads and immediately walked up to Adam, untying him from the chains. Adam fell to the ground with a wince and I immediately ran up to him to comfort him.
"Are you in pain?" I asked. He stood up and shook his head.
"No. I'm fine."
I nodded my head and he smiled down at me, giving me comfort.
"Do you have to leave?" I asked him, knowing the answer.
"Yes. I have to. But don't worry, Tiana. You're not alone. You have Lina..." He spoke as he looked at my sad face. He then cleared his throat before glancing at an annoyed Mason. "And him. You have your mate." He whispered, looking down at me with a sad smile. I glanced over at Mason and breathed in as I saw him staring at the both of us intensely. I immediately looked away and nodded my head at him.
"I hope you find your mate soon," I whispered to him. He didn't say anything, just nodded his head. Soon, Mason walked towards us. I looked up at him and sighed.
"When will he be leaving?" I asked. He glanced at Adam before glancing down at me.

"He'll be leaving with the other warriors when the warriors of the Black Blood pack arrive," Mason answered. I crossed my arms against my chest and raised a brow.
"And when is that?" I questioned.
Mason cleared his throat before replying. "Tomorrow morning. We'll be holding a welcome and goodbye ceremony for the pack warriors."
I frowned and felt my heart drop. I only have the rest of today to see Adam, and then he'll be gone. Adam nodded his head and gave me a sad smile. I let out a sigh and nodded my head in defeat.
"Come on, let's go," Mason spoke to me, holding my hand. I looked up at him then at Adam. I let out a frustrated sigh and shook my head, pulling my hand away from his grasp.
"I'd like to stay with Adam today," I told him. He frowned then narrowed his eyes at Adam before nodding his head.
"Ok," he muttered grumbly before walking out of the cell. Adam and I followed behind him as we walked out of the dungeons and into the packhouse. Mason turned around, glancing at the both of us before nodding his head. He turned around and walked away. I sighed out before looking up at Adam, smiling up at him.
"Let's get you cleaned up," I told him. He nodded his head and we went to his room. He then grabbed some clothes and walked towards the bathroom.
"Take a shower. After that I'll clean your wounds," I spoke. He nodded his head and closed the door. After he finished taking a shower, I cleaned his wounds with him wincing every once in a while. After I was done, I placed the medical kit in the drawer then looked up at Adam.
"You hungry?" I asked. He looked down at me and nodded, grinning at me.
"Yes. A lot," he answered.
"Then come on. Let's go."
We walked towards the kitchen and as soon as we entered, we found it empty. Adam sat on a chair and I went towers the fridge.
"I'm going to make macaroni and cheese," I muttered as I grabbed the box of macaroni and cheese. Adam chuckled and I looked back at him, raising a brow.
"Because that's the only thing you know how to cook?" Adam asked. I frowned at him and crossed my arms against my chest.
"What? No. I know how to cook," I said, stubbornly.
He raised a brow. "Oh really? Like what?"
I bit my lip, trying to think of something I could cook. I then smiled and looked over at Adam. "Cereal. I know how to make cereal." As soon as those words left my mouth, Adam broke out in laughter, making me smile. "Ok, you're right. I don't know how to cook," I admitted.
"Took you long enough to admit that," he muttered, staring at me with amusement. I rolled my eyes and started with the macaroni and cheese. After a while, Adam and I were sitting in front of each other, eating. Out of nowhere, Adam placed his spoon on the table then stared at me. I raised a brow at him, looking at him questioningly.
"What?"
He looked down at his plate, narrowing his eyes angrily at it. I frowned and placed my spoon on the table. He soon raised his head, looking at me with guilt. My frown deepened and I cleared my throat.
"Adam. What's wrong?" I asked.
"Tiana," he whispered. "I..I don't think I can ever forgive myself."
I sighed out and shook my head. "Adam, I already told you. I forgive you. Yes, what you did was wrong but your wolf was in control. Besides, I won't let that get in the way of years of friendship."
He signed and ran a hand through his hair. "I know. But I can't seem to forgive myself. I was afraid that you'd hate me."
I grabbed onto his hand and shook my head. "Adam. I'd never hate you. No matter what you do." He looked up at me and he was on the verge of tears.
"Really?"' He asked.
I squeeze his hand in a tight grip and nodded my head. "Really. You were my rock all these years. And I don't want to lose you."
He let out a sigh of relief and smiled up at me. "I don't want to lose you either."
