Chapter 13

Lina and I stood up and we looked around the bar for any signs of rogues. There weren't any so we ran out of the bar.

"Let's get out of here," Lina said as we ran toward the car. We were so close when a man with red eyes jumped in front of us making a gasp come out of my mouth. Our eyes widened as the rogue slowly walked up to us and growled loudly. We turned around but stopped when more men started surrounding us. I grabbed Lina's hand and gave it a squeeze. She looked at me and I nodded my head.

I closed my eyes and concentrated on my powers. I opened my eyes and we were up in the air and invisible. Since I was combining my powers together I knew that it wouldn't hold for long so I flew us as far away as possible before my powers gave away.

All this time Lina had a huge smile on her face but she didn't say anything. I slowly landed us on the ground and my powers wore off. I heard growls from afar but lucky we weren't close. We were about to run into the woods when a car stopped right in front of us.

The front door opened to reveal the beta who I still don't know the name with a hard face.

"Come in, fast." He said.

Lina jumped in the car and sat next to him while I sat behind them. He pressed on the gas pedal and drove off as fast as he can. When we were out of the city he slowed down a bit and sighed.

"What the hell were you thinking?" He asked Lina. Lina lowered her head and pouted her lips.

"We just wanted to have some fun," she claimed. The beta furrowed his brows and glanced at her before placing his attention back on the road.

"The alpha specifically told you not go to that part of the city," he growled lowly.

"I know, I'm sorry." She apologized. I frowned and patted her shoulders.

"It's not only her fault, we went there together," I told him. He glanced at me from the mirror and frowned but didn't say anything. We were driving for a while and I noticed that he kept glancing at me. I raised a brow at him and he spoke.

"I'm sorry," he said.

"Sorry for what?" I asked.

"I'm sorry for treating you badly once we found you when you're the luna ." He stated.

My eyes widened and so did Lina's.

"What? I'm not you're-" I was caught off when he spoke. "You're the alpha's mate. So that means you're our future luna. I shouldn't have treated you that way. I'm sorry."

I sighed and smiled a small smile.

"It's ok, but how did you know?" I asked. He smirked and shook his head.

"Isn't that hard to noticed," he said, "besides, I've known him since we were small so I know how he reacts to the people he hates and loves."

I slowly nodded my head and wanted to change the subject. I didn't know which category I fit in but I didn't really want to know.

"What's your name?" I asked. He smiled at me and replied, "the name is Nick."

I smiled back at him as we entered our pack. "I would tell you my name too but you already know it." I said. He chuckled and nodded his head. He stopped the car when Alpha Mason and guards showed up. Alpha Mason looked angry, really angry, he stalked towards us as we got off.

"Why did you disobey my orders?" He asked Lina. Lina put her head down and didn't answer. I frowned and walked up to him.

"It wasn't only her fault," I said. He looked at me and his eyes grew dark. He shook his head and stepped back.

"You two head back to the packhouse and stay there while we deal with the rogues," he told us. We nodded our heads and walked off but stopped when he called us.

"And don't do anything stupid," he said but his attention was on me. I scoffed and turned around and walked off. Since when did I do something stupid? I shook my head and we entered the packhouse. We got lots of stares but I shrugged it off and went up to my room.

Once I opened the door to my room I was meet with a worried looking Adam. I raised my brow and was about to ask why he was here when he engulfed me in a huge hug.

"God, Tiana! Don't ever do that again," he said. I sighed and hugged him back.

"I'm sorry," I told him. He pulled away and gave me a small smile.

"It's ok, I was just worried about you." He told me. I smiled at him and sat on a chair.

"You know I can take care of myself," I said. He smirked but pinched my cheeks.

"I know, but that doesn't mean I can't worry about you." He coed. I rolled my eyes at him and shook my head.

"Seriously Adam?" I muttered. He chuckled and patted my head. I rolled my eyes again and punched him lightly in the arm.

"I'm not a dog," I said in amusement and he raised a brow and placed his point finger under his chin.

"Really? Because all this time I thought you were one," he teased. I growled lightly and he stepped back as I stood up.

"Easy there, pup," he said with a hint of amusement laced in his voice and that's when I jumped on him and he shrieked like a ten-year-old girl who was running for her life. He laughed and easily pushed me off but I constantly slapped his chest that didn't affect him at all.

"I am not a pup," I said. He nodded his head but continued to laugh. I huffed and sat back down on the chair.

"You are one violent woman," he said. I rolled my eyes at him and ignored him as I looked outside the window, he poked my arm but I didn't say anything.

"Aww, is Tiana giving me the silent treatment?" He asked. I didn't answer and continued to look outside like it was the most thing that was important. He poked my arm again but I didn't react to him.

"You know I can't go a minute without you talking to me," he said.

"Come on, I know you love me." He stated. I looked at him and scrunched my nose and stuck my tongue at him. He chuckled and engulfed me in a hug as I rolled my eyes.

"I don't love you," I muttered. He faked gasped and pretended to be hurt.

"And all along I thought we had something," he said. I chuckled lightly which only made him grin. He pulled away and looked at the time and smiled.

"Well, I need to head back to training, I just wanted to make sure you were ok, I'll see you later." He said. I nodded my head and he walked out of my room. I looked out the window again and saw lily playing with a woman who I assume is her mom. She caught my stare and smiled and waved at me. I smiled back and waved at her. She continued to play as I backed away from the window and decided to get out of my room.

I walked out of my room and saw Chloe and her minions walking towards me. I ignored them and started walking away from them but an arm stopped me dead in my track.

"You should have died and never came back," Chloe sneered. I yanked my arm out of her grasp and smiled at her.

"Aww Chloe, I think that's the nicest thing you ever said to me," I said sarcastically. She growled and stepped closer to me.

"You stupid b*tch," she hissed and was about to hit me but stopped when Lina growled loudly and stepped in front of me.

"Do one more thing and I'll report it to my brother," she said. I smiled lightly at her and they backed away with annoyance clear on their faces. Lina growled again and they walked off with their imaginary tails in between their legs.

Lina turned her head towards me and smiled lightly.

"You ok?" She asked. I smiled back at her and nodded my head.

"Yeah, thanks."

"I want to apologize for what happened today," she said softly. I frowned and placed my hand on her shoulder.

"Lina, I'll say this again. It was not your fault. We went in there together, remember?" I asked. She smiled and nodded her head.

"Yeah."

"Good," I said.

We walked downstairs and into the kitchen. We saw Anna doing the dishes, she looked up and smiled at us.

"Hey there young ladies," Anna said.

"Hi," I told her. "Do you need any help with anything?" She smiled at me and nodded her head as she pulled out some vegetables.

"I actually need someone to make a salad while I prepare some other stuff." She answered. I walked up to her and grabbed a knife.

"I'll do the salad. Lina, you help her out with something else." I said as I started to cut the vegetables. We talked as we helped Anna out. I eventually finished with the salad and told them that I was going to the bathroom. As I walked out of the kitchen I was met with Nick.

"Hey, what happened?" I asked. He sighed and gave me a small smile.

"We were able to catch all of them without humans seeing us. We killed most of them but some are in the dungeon being tortured for answers." He replied. I nodded my head and ran my hand through my hair. Well, that was good news.

"Where is-" I wasn't able to continue because he caught me off.

"Mason?" He asked with a smirk. "He's in the cellars questioning them." I nodded my head and stepped back.

"Well, that's nice to hear. I need to go and wash up. I'll see you later," I said. He nodded his head and smiled at me.

"Ok, take care." And with that, I walked off towards the bathroom with a feeling of relief.

I yawned and opened my eyes. I sat up and looked at the clock. It was 11 AM. It has been a day since the incident and Lina told me to meet her today for some reason. I went towards the bathroom and washed my face and brushed my teeth.

Today I just felt lazy so I decided to wear a plain white shirt and shorts and tied my hair in a bun. I walked out of the room and into Lina's. She looked at me and smiled.

"Perfect, how did you know that we were training today?" She asked as she looked at my clothes. I raised a brow at her and tilted my head in confusion.

"Training?" I asked. She grinned and nodded her head.

"Yeah, my brother wants us to train so if something like that happened again then we are ready." She answered. I nodded my head at her and she walked towards the door.

"Come on, let's go. Today's training starts early," she said as she opened her bedroom door. We walked out and towards the field. We got stares which were normal by now and glare from girls.

I saw Adam and he smiled at me but had a confused look on. I shrugged my shoulders at him and brought our attention towards Alpha Mason as he walked towards us. He glanced at me but looked away and started to speak.

"Today we're going to do something different, but first I want all of you to run the lap 10 times." He said as I tried to hold back my wolf who was literally wanting to pounce him.

We all walked towards the line and when he counted to three we started running. 10 laps weren't much for a werewolf so it was pretty easy. While I was running I felt someone's eyes on me but I immediately knew who it was. I didn't look over and continued to run.

Lina was running next to me and I got a couple of wolf whistles from men and I assume they were looking at my butt but I rolled my eyes and ignored them. Once we were done Alpha Mason came up and spoke.

"Everybody head towards the woods." I furrowed my brows in confusion. Why the woods?

We walked until we were deep inside the woods.

"Today we are going to team up with a partner and you have to make it out of the woods within 20 minutes. You have to work together and get out of here as soon as possible. If something happens then howl and help will be on its way but the purpose of this is to work as a team and help each other in times like this," he said.

Everyone nodded their heads and they started picking their partners. Adam came up to me and placed an arm over my shoulder.

"Want to be my partner?" He asked. I smiled and nodded my but we were caught off when we heard a loud growl. We turned our heads towards the source and found Alpha Mason walking towards us. Adam's grip on my shoulder tightened as he glared at him.

But what caught me off guard was what he said.

"She's not going to be your partner because she's my partner."
