CHAPTER 67
HARRY'S POV
I broke my leg in three different places, and I have to have a few stitches on my forehead. In the time that it took to run all of the tests on my leg, my screaming headache had disappeared. I was no longer in much pain, besides a few bruises and obviously my leg and forehead. Unlike when they had actually happened, my injuries pain is now just annoying rather than excruciating. But I could hardly focus on myself right now. The only thought in my head was Angie. The short girl who had wavy long blond hair, and piercing blue green eyes.
We had been on our way to the airport to go to California when we got hit. I had planned to purpose to her later on today, but I don't really see that happening anymore.
The worse part is, the doctors won't tell me anything about Angie because they say "I need to relax". Clearly they don't realize that when the person you love has been in a life threatening car accident, the last thing you want to do is be coped up in a hospital room with no information. How ignorant of them. Have they ever been in love?!
"Harry, how are you feeling?" My doctor asked me as he walked into my room.
It had been about 6 hours since the car accident and as I was saying, I felt as good as I possibly could. "Good, thanks for asking." I said in my most calm voice.
"Only doing my job..." The doctor trailed off.
I simply nodded my head and watched him as he sat in the chair next to my bed. "Harry..." He began.
"Yes?" I asked cautiously.
"Angie has... I don't know how to say this lightly..." He trailed off again.

"Just say it!" I said anxiously. I could feel my entire body stiffen as I braced myself for the worse.
"Angie has appeared to have slipped into a coma. I'm so sorry." Then he placed his hands on my lap, probably trying to comfort me, but I wouldn't let him.
"Your lying!" I said as I shook him off.
"I wish I were Harry." He retorted.
"When will she wake up?" I asked.
"We're not sure of she ever will." He couldn't even look me in the eye anymore. I had absolutely nothing to say to this man, so I simply turned my head away from him, and let the tears flow from my eyes. "Harry, I know you loved her very much, and I know that this I hard for you, but you must stay strong. For Angie." He said.
"How would you know?" I asked through my tears.
"The ring was in your pants pocket." He simply stated. I quickly looked down at myself, and sure enough I was in a hospital gown. I remember changing, I guess I just forgot to get the ring out.
"May I have it please?" I asked as I extended my hand towards him.
"Of course." He reached into his packet and placed the tiny ring in my palm. I quickly closed my palm around it, and mouthed a thank you to the doctor.
"You can leave here later today. And some of your friends stopped by to check on you. I have them waiting outside." He answered.
"I'm not leaving here without Angie. I just don't see that happening. And I would love to see my friends right now if that's okay." I wiped the tears off of my cheeks, and the doctor opened my door. All of the guys walked into the room with sad, lifeless expressions on their faces. If that's how they looked, I must look like a major wreck. Even Louis who was normally a ball of energy, looked devestated.

"Hey Harry, how are you doing?" Liam was the first to speak.
Instead of answering his question, I quickly broke down into another set of tears. Louis was the first to wrap his arms around me and give me a hug. The rest of the boys joined him, and it turned into a big group hug.
"I'm so sorry Harry." Zayn said.
"Lads, what'll happen if she doesn't wake up?" I asked through my tears.
"Don't say that Harry! She will, I knw she will." Louis comforted me.
"I really need to see her." I mumble.
"The doctor said that you are free to leave at 8:00 pm." Niall informed me.
As soon as I heard his voice, I remembered what Louis had said. I figured that now was not the time or place to bring that up.
"What time is it now?" I asked.
"7:45." Liam noted.

I recommend it! Welcome to LitRPG Michael-Scott. Glad you joined the fam!" - Aleron Kong, author of the Chaos Seeds series and The Father of American LitRPG “Lion's Quest is the type of book I'm always on the lookout for and rarely ever find. It's the beginning of a series I know I'm going to enjoy, with great writing and hints of deep in-game lore. The characters are fun, the plot is engaging, and I never know what is going to happen next. The action is fast, brutal and realistic. This is one of my favorite LitRPG stories in the entire genre.” - Blaise Corvin, author of Delvers LLC: Welcome to Ludus and Secret of the Old Ones “A great first foray into LitRPG.
