CHAPTER 51

HARRY'S POV

I knew that I couldn't face Angie right now especially since I was on a date. I looked at Jessica who was smiling at me oh so innocently and I felt guilty.

"Hey uhm can we get going?" I asked in hurried tone.

"What's the rush?" She sounded confused.

I then heard Angie thank the old lady for the ice cream and I panicked.

"Jessica please!" I said in a hushed tone.

But it was too late, "Harry is that you?" I heard a voice behind me say.

I spun around to see a mess. Angie had no make up on, and it looked like she hadn't brushed her hair in weeks. She wore trackies and an over sized tee. Wait a second, that was my shirt!

"That's my shirt." I pointed out. I could see Angie go red in the face as she looked down at what she were wearing. Before I could let Angie talk, I spun towards Jessica and said, "Let's go babe."

This time Jessica didn't argue with me, and she stood up. As we began walking towards my car, I grabbed Jessica's free hand making her blush. I loved how I could do that so easily. I heard Angie yell something as I closed Jessica's door behind her, but I was to caught up in the moment.

As I began to pull out of the gas station, I realized I should say something to Jessica. "I'm really sorry about that. I obviously didn't know she was going to be there."

"It's fine." She mumbled.

"Where to now?" I said trying to sound happy.

"Home." She said quietly.

"Jessica ple-" But she cut me off.

"Don't even." She raised her voice a little.

"I'm sorry." I spat out quickly before she could answer.

She didn't answer which wasn't a good sign. But what was the big deal, all the happened was we ran into another girl that I had dated. It happens.

I tried not to think about it as I pulled into her driveway. When I stopped the car, neither of us moved. It was almost like she was waiting for me to say something.

"Jessica I'm really sorry that we saw her. You have to know that right now I'm in a lot of pain because I hurt you."

"It did hurt me to see her. The way that she looked at you, and the way that she wore your shirt. I felt jealous. Well I actually still do." She mumbled.

"But Jessica I want to be with you not her! I'll let you have any of my shirts, sweatshirts or anything. Yes, I have memories with her, but I want nothing more than to make memories with you, to erase ones with her." I explained.

"Alright." She said softly.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"Let's go." She laughed.

I pulled out of her driveway with a goofy grin on my face. Her hand rested on the console of the car inbetween us, and I took this chance to grab her hand. I caught a quick glance at her, and even though it was dark, I could tell that her cheeks were red.

I pulled up to my apartment and ran over to open her door. She stepped out and followed me to the door. I put in my key and twisted the knob. We walked in and I noticed that Louis was gone. Perfect.

"Let's watch a movie." She suggested.

"Sounds perfect." I agreed.

I walked over to my bin of movies and let Jessica dig through them. She pulled out a romantic comedy and handed it to me smiling. I walked over to the TV and put it in. I then saw Jessica sitting on my couch uncomfortably in her skirt. I walked over to her and extended my hand out.

"Yes?" She asked as she took my hand.

Without saying anything, I pulled her down the hall and opened the door to my room. When we got in there, I sat her down on my bed and walked over to my closet. I pulled out some black trackies and white scoop neck tee. I threw them at her and she smiled.

I walked out of the room and waited for her to change. Minutes later she emerged from my room wearing my clothes that were way to big. "Come here." I said as I walked over to the bathroom. She gave me a confused look as I handed her a wash cloth. "Take off the make up." She laughed; thinking I was joking, but my serious face told her I wasn't kidding.

I watched her as she wet the wash cloth and removed her make up. I handed her some face wash and lotion and waited patiently as she cleansed her face. When she was done, she flashed me a toothy smile. Then I handed her a hairbrush and she knew what to do. She took out the braid thing and ran the brush through her hair. Then she threw it up in a messy bun and smiled at me yet again.

"Beautiful." I said smiling.

She laughed and then pushed past me out the door. I quickly followed her and watched her do a cannon ball onto the couch. I laughed and walked into the kitchen. I poured two glasses of water and grabbed a bag of chips, and a package of cookies. I walked back over to her, and sat the food and water on a side table. Then I plopped down next to her and slung my arm around her shoulder.

"Comfortable now?" I laughed.

"Couldn't be happier." She smiled.

Within the next hour, she and I ate half of a family sized bag of chips, and an entire package of cookies. The movie was half over, and a very tired Jessica was snuggled against my chest. I heard her yawn, and that's when I knew she was very tired. I didn't want to embarrass her, so I ignored it.

About twenty minutes later, Louis got home. Thankfully he came in quietly and then he saw us on the couch watching a movie. I knew that Jessica was asleep in my arms so I put my figure to my noes; signalling for Lou to be quiet. He saw what I was doing, and tip toed to his room.

I pulled out my phone and noticed that it was already 1 am. All that driving really did eat up our time. I decided to go on a twitter, and tweet something about Jessica.

"@Harry_Styles- I'm really becoming annoyed with the twitter name @JessicaLovesLiam* !!! hahaha sweet dreams love."

I then attached a picture of Jessica sleeping in my arms that I had just taken. She really did need to change that name. Just then, I felt Jessica move around, and then woke up.

"Sorry I fell asleep Harry." She laughed.

"Don't worry about it. Maybe I should take you home." I suggested.

"Sounds good. I'm knackered!" She laughed.

She was about to stand up, but I didn't let her. I scooped her up into my arms in one swift motion. This caused her to laugh, and she tried to wiggle out of my arms. I started laughing too, but I wouldn'et set her down. By the time we had exited my apartment she had given up, and now she had her head rested against my chest.

I set her down in the front seat of the car and smiled at her. Then I ran around the car and jumped in. I started the car, and she began talking as I drove off.

"The movie was good, well the parts I saw." Then she laughed.

"You're too adorable." I smiled.

"Oh no, I left my clothes at your house!" She yelled.

"So what? You get to take my clothes, but I don't get yours?" I teased.

"Oh Harry, you always know what to say." She giggled.

"Hey Jessica, I had a really nice time tonight." I said as I pulled into her driveway.

"I did too." She blushed.

"Can we do this again sometime?" I asked.

"As a date?" She asked.

"Of course." I yelled.

"I'd love to." She blushed.

I decided that I wouldn't ask her to be my girlfriend just yet. I mean she knows that I like her, so what's the rush? I stepped out of the car and opened the door for her. I walked her up to her door, and before she walked in, I leaned down to her height and kissed her lightly on her lips. It was to dark to tell if she was blushing, but I would put good money that she was. I pulled away and smiled.

"Harry would you like to come in for a little?" She offered.

I looked down at my watch that said it was 1:30 am. "Yeah, I'd like that." I said.

She opened the door to her house, and I saw her parents sitting in the living room like they were before. "Hello there, were back." I said.

"How was it?" Her mom asked as she jumped up to greet us.

"I had just about the perfect evening." Jessica said smiling.

"That's not what you left in." Her father looked concerned.

"Well she looked uncomfortable in her skirt when we were trying to relax and watch a movie, so I gave her some of my clothes." I said making her father relax a bit.

"Good man." Her father muttered.

"Can Harry stay for awhile?" Jessica asked.

"I don't want to intrude." I said before her parents could answer.

"You seem like a good guy, sure why not." Her dad laughed.

"Great!" Jessica said grabbing my hand and pulling me out of the room.

"Wait where are you going? Why don't you stay in here and chat with us?" Her mother called.

"No thanks Mom!" Jessica laughed.

"I'd love to chat!" I pulled away from Jessica's grip and walked back into the living the room. Jessica followed me, and when we got there, both of her parents looked pleasantly surprised. I sat down on the sofa in between Jessica and her mom. Her dad sat in a big chair across from us.

"So tell us a little about yourself Harry." Her mom prompted.

"Well, when I tried out for the X Factor, I didn't make it as a solo act, so I was put into a group. My band mates and I ended up coming in third place and then Simon Cowel signed us. We have one album out right now, and we've gone on tour in many different countries." I said smiling.

"That's very interesting lad, but what are you like as a person?" Her father chuckled.

"As a person, I like to have a good laugh, but I know when to take things seriously. I don't have very many friends besides my band because I never know when people like me for me, or just because I'm famous. I enjoy singing, obviously, but I also love to make people smile. People have always told me that I'm very loyal and honest and sweet. I also happen to be a huge romantic. Oh, and I love to cook." I finished.

"You sound like a great young man." Her father remarked.

"Thank you sir." I nodded my head.

"So you said you tour a lot, when's your next tour?" Her mother asked.

I was hesitant to answer this because I hadn't even told Jessica that I was leaving in three days. It actaully has kind of slipped my mind to be honest.

"I uhh, I... I leave in three days for America." I finally responded.

"For how long?" Jessica asked.

"6 months." I said, unable to make eye contact with anyone.

"So I won't see you for 6 whole months?" Jessica looked upset.

"Well, I could fly back at some point, or you could fly in." I suggested.

"How could you Harry?!" Jessica asked as a tear rolled down her cheek. I tried to console her, but she ran out of the room, and said "Just go Harry!"

I wasn't really sure how to respond. I threw my hands into my face and stood up about to leave, when her mother surprised me, "Harry wait, come back." I decided I would, because I had nothing to lose. "Sit down please." She said softly.

"I should have told her. I just really like her, and I wanted to spend time with her. It honestly slipped my mind when we were leaving until you just mentioned it. I feel so awful to know that I made her cry. I'm a monster. I'm so sorry." I said out of breath.

"Harry it's ok, she'll be fine. It must be hard to have relationships with such a busy life." Her mother said.

"She may be ok, but I won't be." I said looking right at her mother.

"What?" Her mother looked confused.

"Jessica may be able to get over me, but I won't be able to get over her." I spoke quietly.

"Harry your a really good man. Jessica will come around by the time you leave. It's ok with me if she flys out to America for awhile." Her mother said.

"Thank you." I smiled.

"You should go say goodnight." Her father cut in.

"I will." I stood up and climbed the stairs. All of the doors were open except for one that was closed. I assumed that it was her door so I knocked on it. Nobody answered, so I decided to just walk in. I saw Jessica sitting on her bed listening to music with headphones in. She looked up at me with teary eyes, and a frown. She pulled out her headphones, and we both just stared at each other for what seemed like forever. "Can we talk?" I finally asked.

"Whatever." She muttered. I walked over to her bed and wrapped my arm around her. I didn't really know what to say, so I didn't say anything; I just held her in my arms. "You said you wanted to talk." She spat at me.

"Come to America for your birthday and Christmas. I honestly can't live without you Jessica. I know that I don't know you very much, and I haven't spent much time with you, but I know that you are special. I will text you, or call you everyday just to hear your thoughts, or your voice. I was planning on doing this another night, but I don't think I'll be able to sleep tonight if I don't ask you this. Jessica, will you be my girlfriend?"
