"Can this end up on my record? With the house being in my name and all?" Emma questioned as she read over the flyer Rebekah handed her once the two reunited in the halls after class, ready to head on to the next one together. "I mean, not that I should care really. The perk of the Council blowing themselves up with the last of the town's vervain supply is you can just compel it off my record if it does."

"And I promise to do so if it does." Rebekah said light-heartedly, not even looking at Emma as she handed the fliers off to some of the senior students from their biology class. "But it'll be fun, and there's no better way to break in a new house than throwing a party."

"I wouldn't know, so I'll take your word for it." Emma laughed as the two walked into the history classroom, Rebekah making her presence known to all as she called out a good morning to all those inside.

"So, I'm throwing a little anti-curfew party at my new house. Starts at fifth period and goes 'til whenever. Spread the word." While Rebekah started handing out fliers, Emma moved through the room to take her seat. And it was a good thing she did as Rebekah focused on one of the students in the room in particular.

"You're welcome to join, Elena, if you'd like to bury the hatchet." Rebekah said carelessly as she placed one of the fliers on top of Elena's history textbook. Emma did her best not to laugh at the annoyed look on Elena's face.

"It's a pretty enormous hatchet." Elena pointed out in a low voice, the anger palpable in it.

"Well, I'm feeling generous of spirit." Rebekah brushed it off with ease, proceeding to turn with Emma with a requesting look that made the brunette confused for a moment. And then she realized what Rebekah was implying.

"Oh! Wait... I can do it now and it counts later? That certainly would have been a good thing to know when I started hanging out with vampires." Emma asked in surprise before she stopped herself from rambling out her questions and turned to Stefan and Elena. "You can come in, I guess." She was certainly curious to see if it would actually work because a part of her doubted it.

"New house, huh? Did your brother finally kick you out?" Elena questioned in a taunting tone, obviously not as willing as Rebekah to 'bury the hatchet'. Emma wasn't too surprised. As she'd said to Caroline, something told her they wouldn't all be the best of friends any time soon.

"He didn't kick me out, I left." Rebekah sent the brunette a small glare at the words, not liking Elena digging her nose into family matters which were none of her business.

Soon it became clear that any kind of response was exactly what Elena wanted from the Mikaelson. "So, you left the only person on earth that actually likes you?"

"Sitting right here." Emma called out, looking away from her notebook so she could glare at Elena for the bitchy comment. Did Elena have a right to hold a grudge against Rebekah? Sure. She did kill her. But Emma wasn't just gonna sit here and let them act like she didn't exist, especially not when the words brought a happy smile to Rebekah's face.

"Exactly! And... Well, your boyfriend liked me once." Judging based on the look Stefan gave the blonde for her comment, he clearly wasn't that happy about being dragged into this little spat. "Actually, a lot more than once." Rebekah didn't care.

"Why are you still in town, Rebekah? Don't you have anywhere else to go?" Since he was already dragged into it, Stefan didn't hold off on delivering some of his own jabs now.

"Well, history's my favourite class. Actually, where is Mr. Saltzman...?" Rebekah started to question before pausing dramatically. It still made Emma's eyes widen. She'd completely forgotten about that bit if she were being honest. "Oh, that's right, I killed him."

Within a second, as she watched the rage spread across Elena's features, Emma was quite happy she didn't share her thoughts on the subject out loud. Especially once pencils started flying. Elena was the first to make the argument turn physical, but of course her throw didn't leave on a scratch on Rebekah who managed to catch the pencil. However, when the blonde threw it back, it was much too fast for Elena to catch and soon enough blood was seeping from the shoulder the pencil was sticking out of.

"Okay, you two realize that you're in a classroom full of human students?" Emma questioned in an exasperated tone, glaring at Elena at first as she was the one who started it before turning to the blonde as she added another question. "And that pencils are wooden?"

Rebekah simply shrugged her shoulders in response, seeming like she didn't care one bit while watching after Elena as she ran out of the classroom with Stefan following closely behind. Rebekah let a victorious smile spread over her face as she took her seat beside Emma who leaned closer to her.

"You really think it was a good idea to invite Elena and all her new-vamp rage into your house?" She questioned the blonde with a somewhat hesitant look on her face, wondering, if it really did work, whether there was a way to revoke it.

"What's she gonna do? Try to kill me?" Rebekah asked in an unbothered tone.

"Well, they are the ones still in possession of the indestructible white oak stake your mother made." Emma pointed out. "We really should come up with a plan to steal that thing back. Never know when one of them might make a really stupid move."

"I can already see the gears in your head turning." Rebekah laughed at the look on Emma's face as she started to debate possible hiding places for the stake and how to get it away from there. "Well you keep at it, I have one more thing to do." Rebekah announced, standing from her chair and making her way out of the room. Emma could only shake her head. If she and Elena wanted to fight some more, hopefully they take it off of school grounds this time.

"So my options for the day are, spend the time in a hybrid infested house with my brother? Or go to a high school party thrown by my sister, and spend my time surrounded by drunken teenagers?" Kol's voice sounded from Emma's phone as she roamed the halls during one of her free periods.

"Or maybe you could just focus on the surrounded by me part." She said in a flirtatious tone, a smile spreading over her face as she heard him laugh on the other end of the call.

"Now that does sound appealing." Kol replied, this time him being the one to make her laugh. "And seeing you drunk is certainly something I wouldn't pass up."

"Hah! Not gonna happen." Emma said with full conviction.

"Oh come on, darling. Why not?" She could imagine the pout he was making on the other end of the line, and while it usually would have made her laugh, the reply to his question ran through her mind and made it impossible to do so.

'Because of my medication.' She knew it was the answer she should give. She promised Rebekah she'd tell him. And while she knew the blonde was right when she said there would never be a perfect moment to say what she needed to, Emma also knew doing it over the phone wasn't the right way either.

"Hello? Did I accidentally hang up again?" Kol questioned once her silence dragged on for a moment too long, snapping Emma back to reality and making her push the thoughts of that conversation to the back of her mind. She'd tell him after the party, she decided. They'd have some fun, and then... What happens, happens.

"No, no you didn't hang up. I just got..." Emma started to say she got distracted, but the karma of the lie caught up to her rather quickly. Her words slowed as she actually did get distracted by a sight not far down the hall she was walking through. "Distracted. Kol I'm gonna have to call you back." She said, not giving him a chance to reply as she hung up the call and rushed forward.

"Hey!" She called out, catching the attention of the man holding Matt up against the wall by his throat. "The hell do you think you're doing?" She questioned as she pushed him away from Matt.

"You." The hunter faced her with a hateful look, reaching for something in his back pocket as he thought that neither would he reach the knife he'd dropped in time, nor would it do what he wanted. But Emma could see his train of thought leading to one place.

"Ok, buddy, let's clear up one thing." Emma said in an annoyed tone, bending down to pick up the discarded weapon. She didn't give him time to react before she pricked her finger on it. "There we go, bleeding and not healing. Not on your hit list. We done now?"

Connor only stared at her with a debating look on his face.

"And if you even think of trying something like that on me, you'll find yourself in a load of pain and hell." She added on, nodding her head towards Matt who remained standing behind her. "Now leave, before I have to scream pervert again."

Emma pushed the knife into his hand before grabbing hold of Matt's arm and dragging him off and into a more populated hall before the hunter could do anything else. Only once she was sure they were in the clear did she turn to the boy and start questioning him.

"Are you okay? What was that about?"

"He wanted to know who the vampire feeding on me was." Matt revealed with a heavy sigh. Just moments before Emma intervened, Connor had made it pretty clear he was about to knock him out. A part of Matt thought it would be the better option than having to reveal what he'd done to Emma. But she'd know soon enough.

"Well it's a good thing I came when I did." Emma let herself get relaxed, but then he spoke again.

"I did give him a name."

"You ratted Elena out?" She questioned in surprise. She knew Matt wasn't too fond of all the vampires running around town, but she couldn't imagine him ever giving any of them up to someone who wanted them dead.

"No... I, uh, I told him it was Rebekah." Matt's revelation had Emma halting her steps and forcing him to come to a stop with her. Yup, the glare on her face definitely made the Donovan think getting knocked out would have been more pleasant.

"Are you insane?!" Emma questioned him, but before he could reply she continued on. "Did you not get the werewolf venom memo? Do you know anyone who's willing to volunteer to hold back a original that's more psycho than usual? No? Then you better find someone." She scolded angrily.

"I'm sorry, okay? He just wasn't giving up. I thought it was better than giving him someone he can actually kill." Matt tried to explain, and yeah, Emma could understand that. It still didn't make her any less angry about her friend now being on a hit list.

"Jesus! I'm over here making deals with Caroline to avoid anyone dying because of this guy, and you're tattling on vampires." Emma shook her head. "And on the day of Rebekah's big party no less. Mystic Falls events truly are cursed." She added on with a groan. Not in the mood to hear any more from Matt, she turned away and started to walk off, hoping to find some way to avoid the possible mess this might cause.
