A bondage suit is a tight-fitting suit that is used for the specific purpose of sexual bondage, and is usually worn by a submissive. Typically, a bondage suit will cover the entire body, from the head to the toes. A separate hood may be worn if a bondage suit does not include one. Less commonly, bondage suits can be found in catsuit and unitard styles.

Strategically placed zippers on most of these suits allow dominants to access certain areas of the submissive's body, including the breasts, genitals, anus and mouth. Most importantly, a bondage suit will have a number of metal rings or anchor points to make restraining the wearer much easier.

A bondage suit may also be referred to as a gimp suit.

Bondage suits can be made from a number of different materials, but they are most commonly made from latex, spandex or leather. Latex and spandex suits are stretchier and therefore more form-fitting. Leather, however, can add a more authentic BDSM element for some people, and it is much more durable. Some leather bondage suits even have straps and leather rings that can be used to suspend the wearer from the ceiling.
