Tears fell from my eyes “You said I was your only type, if that’s true then how is Stacy your type too?”

This stopped him dead in his tracks “Wait how did you kn… you were the person she took to the bathroom.”

I couldn’t stand being here with him, so I took off running. I ran as far as I could. Then I had to stop because I felt like I was going to be sick. Just like I predicted I did throw up this was the 3rd day in a row, I hope I wasn’t coming down with something.

Then I became shaky and started to feel nauseous I sat down on the sidewalk to rest for a moment and ended up passing out.

All I could see was bright lights, was I dead?

“Emma?” A familiar voice questioned me.

Looking around at my surroundings I had no clue where I was “Mom is that you?”

No one answered. By now tears were coming from my eyes, “Mom where are you! Mom!” Still nothing I started to run to where I heard the voice but the farther I ran the quicker the light faded and darkness took over.

Trying to turn around and go back it became too late, the darkness had already taken over the light I just saw a few seconds ago. Just like it had on my life.

Beeping registered in my ears. The light was coming back; when it came all the way back I realized it was a hospital room. Oh shit it was a hospital, I’m dead, I’m deader than dead I’m a goner. I was starting to take the cords that were attacked to me off. Then I heard the door open and in walked Lisa.

“Hey Emma do you remember me? I’m Tyler’s mom.”

“Yes Ma’am but I need to go, and where and I?”

“You are at our clinic; Tyler saw you passed out on the sidewalk so he brought you to us, plus Emma I need to talk to you for a moment.” I nodded my head to signal her to continue.

“I ran some test on you to see what was causing you to faint, and I came across something that maybe a little shock, Emma I’m not sure how to tell you this but… your pregnant.”

What! No that’s impossible. This can’t be happening to me I must be dreaming I stared to pinch myself hoping to wake up from this dream. Pregnant I couldn’t be could I?

“There has to be some kind of mistake, this isn’t possible,”

Lisa came up beside and sat on the bed and placed her hand on my leg, “Emma, Honey I wish I was wrong I ran it 5 times they were all positive and by the looks of it you’re almost 3 months.”

Tears were streaming down my cheeks; this couldn’t happen how I could support a child when I can barely support myself.

“Emma is there something you want to talk about?”

“I can’t, I wish I could but I can’t, does he… did you tell him?”

“I didn’t tell him but he walked in while I was doing an ultrasound, so he does know, but Emma I know something or someone is hurting you and I can’t help you unless you tell me.”

Shaking my head at her “Your wrong I’m fine please let me go.”

She shook her head as if I said something wrong “It’s not just you now it’s you and a baby, I know you don’t want to risk this poor innocent life do you?”

I shook my head “Then tell me Emma, I will make sure you are safe.”

“Lisa your nice I wish I had a mom like you but I can’t do this.”

“Emma look at me, there is something seriously wrong going on here and I can’t help you if you stay silent.

I turned my head to Lisa “Have you ever thought that staying silence would keep you safe.”

“Who ever told you that Emma is wrong, silence will only make things worse.” Lisa scolded me.

I looked at her for a moment then realized if I kept arguing with her I would for sure end up telling everything which I knew I couldn’t do.

“Emma please just allow me to help you.” Lisa pleaded.

She stared at me for a minute and then got up from the bed. “Well okay then, I’m going to go take care of a few things but I believe Tyler wants to talk to you”

She walked out the door and my heart dropped. I knew she wanted to help me but I also knew that revealing everything would only cause me more trouble than I could imagine.

I couldn’t get my head to grasp the fact I was pregnant. This thought brought tears to my eyes, but worse of all I couldn’t prove who the father was. It could be Kevin, one of his friends, even one of the guys from school.

I saw a clock in the room that showed it was 6:48 p.m. Panic took over me what will Kevin do to me. Will he kill me this time, if he beats me he could kill this poor innocent life that I now had to protect.

Looking around the room I spotted a window I could easily get out of, but when I heard the door open I turned to see who had came in.

Great just great just when I thought I could escape, I see the devil in front of me. “Emma sweetie are you okay I was worried sick when I got a call you were here.” Kevin exclaimed with a fake smile that was plastered on his face.

Shock took over me at this point “Kevin how did you know I was here.”

He was at my side in an instant “Does that matter, I’m here to take you home but they won’t let you go yet. They won’t even tell me what’s wrong with you.”

“I’m fine we ca-.”

“What have I told you about talking?” Kevin told me as he grabbed my wrist and started to twist it.

I bit my tongue so I wouldn’t yelp out in pain. Relieve took over when he released my wrist and backed away from me.

I saw Lisa and Tyler walk in threw the door. “Excuse me doctor but can I take Emma home so she can rest in her own bed instead of this uncomfortable cot?” Kevin politely asked.

Lisa looked a little confused “Well we need to check the last test we took, then you need to sign some papers and then you can leave.”

“Can I sign the papers now to hurry this up?” Lisa nodded to Kevin and told him to follow her leaving Tyler and myself alone.

“Emma I am so, so, so sorry, What happened with Stacy it isn’t what you think, There is something about Stacy you don’t know but I can’t tell you yet, please don’t be mad at me, I knew how bad Stacy is but I had no clue it was you, if I did trust me I would have stopped it.”

“It’s not like we are together, I don’t care who you are with, and all these secrets are starting to piss me off, all you say is you can’t tell me yet or you’ll tell me well you know what Tyler time is ticking and its almost over.”

Tyler took my hands into his but I pulled them away “Emma I’m going to tell you I promise, come to my house tomorrow and I will tell you everything, I just can’t do it here.”

Tears started to form in my eyes. “Please no more promises, you already broke too many.”

“That won’t happen ever again, I promise I will never let anything happen to you or your baby, and I will be here as long as you want me.” He protested while he was kneeling beside the bed.

He brought his hand to my face to wipe away the tears that were falling off of my face. I haven’t felt Love like this for years, and it scares me. I don’t want to let myself get hurt anymore.

I opened my mouth to speak but it was cut off by someone entering the room “Emma your free to go but call me if you need anything.” Lisa told me.

Nodding my head I got up out of the bed and went to the bathroom in the room to change back to my clothes. When I walked out Kevin was waiting for me as well as Lisa and Tyler.

“Good to see your better.”Kevin told me with his fake voice.

“I’ll see you tomorrow Emma.” Tyler reassured me.

“Okay let’s go Emma, tell your friend by I’ll be in the car.”

Standing there awkwardly Tyler came over to give me a hug “Remember come to my house tomorrow around 3 and I will tell you everything.”

Nodding my head he released me from the hug. I waved to him and went on my death walk to Kevin’s car.

Taking a minute to take a few quick breathers I got into the back of the car. Kevin was shacking and was blood red in the face.

“Emma I promise you are in for hell tonight, how dare you come to the hospital you know my rules about the hospitals, you know how many questions I was asked. Remember bitch if something happens to me your life is over.”

I turned my head to look out the window but my vision was blurry due to the tears my eyes were producing. I just hoped he won’t kill this baby.
