Jayla's pov

As I took my nap I suddenly heard someone walking through the forest. I looked down and saw it was a few kids trying to sneak past the pack boarders. I jumped off the tree and leaned right in front of them. "Do you have permission to leave the pack boarders?" I questioned them. The girl trying to be sleek ended up with her hand behind her back as well as her boyfriends. I had someone take over my patrol and ended having to deal with rebellious teens who were planing to run away cause they thought they were true mates even though they still did not have there wolfs. Soon my last patrol in this pack was done and i went home. It was already the next day so I decided to sleep in to catch up on sleep before starting to pack and leaving to my new chapter in my life. There was a part of me that still yearned for my ex mate but now it just felt like a dream that was shattered and I repaired all the peace's on my own. Not many had the chance to get a second chance mate and I know I was not one of those lucky people like Jake after what he had done. Soon I got home to my comfy bed and feel asleep as soon as I hit the pillows.

The next few days I filled my schedule with training, and packing. My family tried having dinner with me but did not push it after seeing how busy I was. Besides that they were getting acquainted with my brothers mate and my mother of course was delighted by her. They spent so much time together that even when I had just gone to get a cup of coffee in the kitchen she would not stop talk about her. In addition to those moments she was sometimes there and I would just ignore them. Thankfully time was on my side and it went by faster than I thought until I got a surprise visit.

I was drinking my cup of coffee when the door opened and the other girl from last time came rushing in to my house and punched me. Everyone in the kitchen stood still and Rachal my brothers mate started to say, "Kayla what's wrong with you?" She questioned still a bit in shock. "She's the problem all her fault why my mate hasn't marked me yet! It's because of her!! His first mate!!," Kayla yelled in raged at what Jake had just told her and a few seconds later he showed up to my house and saw my busted lip but not before giving her one to match mine. "Don't you ever Fucken touch me again future Luna or not don't ever disrespect me like that again I may be just another she wolf but respect in my eyes is earned not given," I said now angry while she grabbed her bleeding lip and Jake holding on to her. "Change of plans I'm not leaving tomorrow I'm leaving now and I'm not coming back... I Jayla Clearwater reject this pack as well disown my self from this family," and with that all ties cut off from them as Jake, Kayla, my parents and my brother along with his mate were now frozen in shock. I left to get my luggage and returned quickly. My mother started to cry as I had just stabbed her heart and I did not faze a bit on it. I became cold after rejecting this pack and giving a cold stare once more to Jake as he looked at me once more. Then I quickly left and did not bother to look back.
