A'Lan was taken aback and looked at Huo Li, then she straightened her body and pushed her chest forward as much as she could.
"Of course, I'm here to see Brother Huo."
Lin Xiaoye nodded: "Oh sure, you guys talk first, I'm leaving."
After she said that, Lin Xiaoye went directly to the Hu Family's courtyard.
Now, only A'Lan and Huo Li were left. A'Lan immediately took two steps in front of Huo Li.
"Brother Huo, you..."
"Aunt?"
Before A'Lan could finish speaking, Huo Li interrupted her.
"..."
On this side, Lin Xiaoye arrived at the Hu's house and saw Old Hu and his wife carrying his mother to the yard. Old Matriarch Hu was lying on a bamboo bed.
Immediately, she heard Old Hu's wife kneeling on the ground and saying, "Mother, you must hold on. Old Huo's wife should be back soon. You must hold on."
At this moment, Old Hu said, "I must say that Old Huo's wife is definitely unreliable. What time is it? Why is she still running around every day?"
Lin Xiaoye was stunned.
Why does this family blaming her?
At this moment, Old Hu's wife heart was also filled with anxiety. She instantly looked at Old Hu and didn't know what to say.
"Why didn't you invite the doctor over when something happened?" Lin Xiaoye went up and said.
Hearing that, Old Hu's wife quickly stood up and rushed in front of Lin Xiaoye, while there were still tears on her face.
"Old Huo's wife, you're finally back. Hurry and take a look at my mother. Please save my mother."
Seeing that Old Hu's wife was also filial, Lin Xiaoye walked in front of Old Matriarch Hu. Old Matriarch Hu's eyes were crooked, saliva was flowing from her mouth and her face was covered with sweat. There was a basin of sour water beside her, she must have vomited.
As for Old Matriarch Hu, she kept mumbling something, but no one knew what she was talking about. Her whole body spasmed and convulsed.

Lin Xiaoye's palm immediately tightened.
Could it be that she had suffered a stroke?
As she thought about it, Lin Xiaoye hurriedly asked, "If you talk to your Mother-in-Law, will she respond?"
Old Hu's wife shook her head, "I've already talked to her for a long time and she keeps mumbling, but I don't even know what she was talking about."
"Then does your Mother-in-Law often get dizzy?" Lin Xiaoye continued to ask.
At this moment, Old Hu opened his mouth. "Last night, my mother said she was feeling dizzy."
Lin Xiaoye's pupils sank. It seemed like there was a high chance that she had suffered a stroke.
This stroke was a common condition among the elderly, but now that they didn't have high-tech medical equipment, it seemed like it could only be done with bare hands.
However, if she wanted to suppress it as soon as possible, she would need to use acupuncture. Where would she find a silver needle?
Forget it, she would just replace it with an embroidery needle.
"Go and bring me the embroidery needles that you normally use."
"Embroidery needles?" Old Hu asked.
"If you want to save your mother, then hurry up!" Lin Xiaoye said.
Hearing her, Old Hu quickly told his wife to go into the house and bring the embroidery needles over.
Lin Xiaoye let Old Hu go to the stove to pick up some fire, then she placed the embroidery needle on the fire to heat it up to dispel the poison. Following that, she grabbed Old Matriarch Hu's ten fingers and stabbed them until blood came out.
Then, she squeezed out some blood for bloodletting.
But Old Hu and his wife didn't know what she was doing. Seeing his mother's blood dripping onto the ground, he felt quite displeased.
Sure enough, in a short period of time, Old Matriarch Hu's mental state had become much clearer and the crooked symptoms around her mouth had lessened, and her body was no longer twitching.
She took two deep breaths and said, "Son."

Hearing that, Old Hu and Old Hu's wife quickly went forward and knelt in front of Old Matriarch Hu.
Old Hu quickly grabbed Old Matriarch Hu's hand: "Mother, your son is here. Can you hear what your son is saying?"
Old Matriarch Hu nodded and they instantly cried tears of joy.
Old Hu's wife quickly turned around and kneeled in front of Lin Xiaoye: "Old Huo's wife, if it wasn't for you today, mother might have lost her life. You really are the benefactor of our Old Hu Family!"
Hearing his wife, Old Hu also quickly kneeled in front of Lin Xiaoye.
"Old Huo's wife, what my wife said was correct, you are really the benefactor of our Old Hu Family!"
After saying that, the two of them kowtowed again and again.
Lin Xiaoye was shocked and quickly took a step back.
"Don't be like this. Get up quickly, don't scare your mother anymore."
Upon hearing this, both of them didn't dare to be careless and stood up immediately.
Old Hu's wife then asked, "Then does it mean that my Mother-in-Law needs to be prick in the fingers according to your method when she becomes ill in the future?"
Lin Xiaoye hurriedly waved her hand: "Don't, you guys don't understand these things, you can't do it easily. Your mother has suffered a stroke and this kind of illness isn't a small matter and you have to pay attention to it. Today, I've only suppressed her symptoms a little, and in the future, she'll have to be treated with acupuncture, otherwise she might fall ill again."
They were both shocked when they heard her words. Old Hu quickly asked, "Then how can we treat my mother's illness?"
Lin Xiaoye looked at Old Matriarch Hu and found that her stroke was truly troublesome.
"Do you know where you can get silver needles in town?"
If she didn't use acupuncture, the old lady would probably have to suffer from this disease.
The husband and wife looked at each other, then Old Hu's wife said, "Old Huo's wife, what do you mean? There's no such thing in the town."
"There's none?" Then where did the silver needles in the hands of those doctors come from?
"Is there a custom-made place?"
Hearing that, how could the Hu couple not understand what Lin Xiaoye meant? He definitely wanted to save his mother by using a silver needle, but how could a silver needle be made so easily? Furthermore, the price was not cheap.
If they really were going to do it, then wouldn't Old Huo's wife ask for money from them later?
Old Hu's wife shyly walked up and pulled Lin Xiaoye's hand.
"About that, Old Huo's wife. I know that you are doing this for the good of my mother, but the price of these silver needles is not cheap."
After speaking, Old Hu's wife revealed an awkward expression.
Lin Xiaoye only just realized what was going on.
"These silver needles are not just for your mother. I also plan to keep them for myself so that I can use them in the future. Don't worry, I'll pay for it myself."
Hearing this, Old Hu's wife stepped forward and said, "How, how can this be? No matter what, you are here to treat my mother's illness. "
Lin Xiaoye smiled: "Alright, you don't have to be so polite with me. If you really feel bad about this, then if I encounter any problems in the village, you can just stand up and speak up for me."
"Of course, sister. I truly think of you as my younger sister now. Don't worry, from now on, our two families will take care of each other in the village. If you need anything, just come find us." Old Hu's wife said.
"Right, right, right. You must not be polite." Old Hu added.
Following that, Lin Xiaoye told them a few things to take note of. Old Hu also told her the location of the silversmith in town, so she left.
But Lin Xiaoye didn't know that trouble in the village was coming soon.

Dungeon Crawler Katia
The aliens killed everyone on Earth...almost. Every structure, from the Taj Mahal to the lowliest lobster trap, vanished into the earth, killing everyone inside. The survivors were given a choice: Endure on the surface without food or shelter or tools, or descend into a world-spanning nightmare dungeon that is also a reality TV show. Katia, an art professor from Iceland who has given up her humanity to transform into a shapeshifting doppelganger, meets up with Carl and his cat, Donut. Together, the three fight to survive in a dungeon filled with Clarketech goblin murderdozers and pyramid-scheme fairy moonshine-makers. The above is, of course, describing Dungeon Crawler Carl. With DoctorHepa's (the author) permission I'm posting some fanfic to expand on Katia, one of the secondary characters who started off not getting as much exploration as I would have preferred. I started off writing chapters that matched up to canon except from her POV instead of Carl's; that lasted a couple of chapters before going off the rails and spinning off into a completely new story, which suggests I should really go back and renumber all the chapters as soon as I find some tuits.
