《Farmer's Pampered Wife: Farming Crops To Raise A Bun》Chapter 23: She Was Truly Afraid Of Being Poor!

Lin Xiaoye went up and grabbed Wang-shi's wrist and took her pulse.
There were no serious problems, but her body was too weak. If this continued, how could she be able to hold on?
While she was thinking, she heard Wang-shi's voice.
"Xiaoye, Xiaoya, Mother has dragged down you two sisters again and I have never even taken care of the both of you, but still..."
Wang-shi cried again after she spoke.
Xiaoya couldn't help crying as well upon seeing her mother cry.
"Mother, don't blame yourself."
Lin Xiaoye really couldn't stand watching the scene of crying at every turn. Although, her heart was indeed a little throbbing seeing Wang-shi like this, but crying is not always the way!
Since she was using this body now, there are things that this body should do.
Xiaoya raised a pair of scarlet eyes and looked at Lin Xiaoye.
"Why did you want to bring Mother and me to live here?"
Her small house was not even enough for her own family to live in.
Wang-shi immediately wiped away the tears off her face.
"Xiaoye, Mother knows that you have always been filial. Mother is really happy that you can change now, but your Grandma…"
Saying that, Wang-shi couldn't help but sigh.
Even if she disliked Sun-shi a million times, she was still the Lin Family's Daughter-in-Law after all. How could she scold her own Mother-in-Law behind her back?
"You don't have to worry about Grandma, but you'll still have to live in that yard. However, I'll make money as soon as possible and when I buy a mansion, we'll live together."
Hearing Lin Xiaoye's words, Xiaoya immediately opened her eyes wide and her mind was filled with longing, as if that huge courtyard was already right in front of her eyes.
At this moment, Wang-shi thought of something and pulled Lin Xiaoye's hand.

"Xiaoye, Mother wanted to ask you about the last time, where did you get money? You can actually buy so much white flour."
Saying this, Wang-shi's eyebrows knitted together. She was truly worried that these items had an unorthodox origin.
Xiaoya pouted immediately.
"Elder Sister, did you do something wicked again? If that's the case, Mother and I will definitely not live in that mansion."
Lin Xiaoye smiled: "It seems like you really do want to live in a big house."
"I…" Xiaoya's face instantly turned red.
"Don't worry, the money came from the right way. Besides, Huo Li's hunting luck is good these days, so we don't have to worry about that. Right now, the most important thing is to take care of our bodies, otherwise, even if we get rich, we won't lose any weight, right?"
With that, she brought the porridge on the table over for Wang-shi to eat.
Lin Xiaoye looked at the skinny appearance of Wang-shi and Xiaoya, and secretly clenched her hands.
It seemed like she had to hurry and find a way to earn more money. Looking at Wang-shi, she was truly pitiful. Wang-shi treated her like the original owner, and even now, she was still thinking about her.
Thinking about this, a hint of sadness suddenly appeared in Lin Xiaoye's heart. It had been a while since she came here and she wondered how her family was doing in the modern world.
They must be worried about her disappearance, right? Or perhaps, they were still searching the entire world for her?
Wang-shi felt a bit more at ease after hearing Lin Xiaoye's words.
Although she still didn't know how Lin Xiaoye managed to earn that much money, she was very happy to see her daughter pull herself together.
Following that, Lin Xiaoye brought over the lunch she prepared earlier. When Wang-shi and Xiaoya smelled the fragrant aroma, they immediately swallowed their saliva.

Xiaoya immediately ran to the table and saw several dishes and meat on the table. Her eyeballs were about to fall out.
"Elder Sister, did you make all this?"
After saying that, Xiaoya couldn't help but swallow her saliva.
Lin Xiaoye raised her chin slightly and nodded with a smile.
"These are all good dishes that I'm good at. Hurry up and help mother over. Today, our family will have a good meal."
After that, Xiaoya and Wang-shi looked at the dishes on the table and found it hard to start eating.
Lin Xiaoye first scooped a bowl of soup for each of them, then she scooped a bowl for Little Mochi.
Xiaoya was holding the soup in both hands. Within the soup were eggs and meat paste. The smell was really fragrant.
After Lin Xiaoye took a sip of the soup, she tried its saltiness and nodded.
"En, the taste is pretty good."
At a glance, she saw Xiaoya and Wang-shi only staring at the soup in their hands and not bringing it to their mouths.
"Mother, Xiaoya, why aren't you guys eating? You don't like the food?"
She also felt that the taste was not bad, but she felt that something was missing.
Just as she was thinking, she heard a sob and saw Xiaoya looking at Wang-shi with teary eyes.
"Mother, it smells so good. Xiaoya has never smelled such a fragrant aroma before."
After saying that, Xiaoya's tears fell.
At this moment, Wang-shi also began to wipe her tears away.
"That's right, but isn't Mother the same?"
In the past, she could still smell a bit of meat in her maiden home every new year festival. However, ever since she married into the Lin Family, her days had never been good.
Thinking of the sufferings she had gone through, Wang-shi couldn't help but wipe her tears away.
As for Little Mochi, he was drinking the soup while staring at the two of them with his round eyes.
Why are they all crying?
Lin Xiaoye immediately felt a headache.
She was truly afraid of being poor!
"Mother, don't be sad anymore. Don't worry, as long as you want to eat meat, I will make it for you. This soup needs to be drunk while it's still hot. If you delay any longer, it will become unpalatable. Wouldn't that be a waste? Xiaoya."
With that, Lin Xiaoye quickly motioned to Xiaoya.
Xiaoya glanced at Lin Xiaoye and immediately came back to her senses. She quickly wiped the tears off her face and nodded.
"That's right, Mother. No matter what, this was Elder Sister's craftsmanship. Let's hurry up and drink it, don't waste it."
After saying that, Xiaoya took the initiative to hold the bowl up and prepared to drink.
As for Wang-shi, after hearing this, she didn't care about being sad anymore and also picked up the bowl and drink.
Only then did Lin Xiaoye heave a sigh of relief, then she gave them chopsticks.
At the moment, Xiaoya was holding the bowl and subconsciously looked at Lin Xiaoye. She didn't know what to feel anymore.
When did Elder Sister learn how to cook? And still has money to buy meat?
It's delicious!
Xiaoya thought as she took a sip of the soup. She didn't expect that the soup was even better than what she had imagined.
Xiaoya raised her head in shock, "Elder Sister, you made this soup?"
Lin Xiaoye nodded in disapproval: "Why? It doesn't taste good?"
Xiaoya instantly widened her eyes, "Elder Sister, this...this is too delicious. I've never tasted such a delicious soup before!"

Reborn as a Magic Firefly, Help?
A rural farmer's boy is unknowingly reincarnated into a world of magic and monsters as just a wee little larva, not even considered a monster at all. But through grit and a passion for surviving, he will eventually evolve into something truly powerful and maybe, just maybe, find a way home. If that means defeating powerful foes and becoming a powerful monster himself, maybe, just maybe, that's what he needs to do. Popcorn easy-going typical "reincarnated as a monster" fic. Expect evolution trees, rare evolutions, small twists, a generally unaccepted main character who just wants to meet a human, the works. In this story, the main character is reincarnated as a larva, but his evolution will lead him down a path to become a will 'o wisp firefly hybrid, since that is what the fellows over on light novel amino requested, and it sounded cool. I'm just writing this to keep my fingers moving, so it won't have too much effort in it, but if you like stories like the beginning of the (good) reincarnated-as-a-dragon light novel, I'm sure you'll like this one. Popcorn isekai fic. The cover, drawn by yours truly, will reflect the current evolution of the main character. Also, he'll be pretty weak-to-strong, since, well, maggots are kind-of-really weak.

Witness the legend of Li Jie!-----Upon Blazing Wings is a xianxia (Chinese for """"immortal hero"""") story, taking heavy inspiration from I Shall Seal the Heavens by Er Gen as well as other famous xianxia stories. For those well-versed in the genre, the story should seem familiar. However for those who are new, the culture and technical terms may be bit alien at first. I will possibly post a glossary explaining some of the details if necessary, but hopefully you will be able to explore and understand the world with me as I write about it.

But Reagan's hopes of incredible powers are quickly destroyed when he makes the discovery that he is a custacean, and crustaceans are the only monsters who can't evolve or get abilities as they level up, the only thing they get is bigger. The Chronicles of Artharian Dagworth
Back in 2020 there were many theories on how the world would end. From the many religions apocalypses, nuclear wars that would leave the planet inhabitable, global warming doing the same, biological weapons getting out of control, viruses mutating into unstoppable diseases to the dead raising to prey on humanity, either due to a virus or just because hell filled up. Also, aliens, from the war mongering kind to the ones so advanced they didn’t see us as more than worms. And of course there was the fail proof theory that the world would end when the sun died. In a bunch of billion years give or take. Althougth some new scientist were discussing if the end would be on the take side, since when the sun started dying things would go haywire on the entire solar system and we would collide with mercury or maybe mars way before the expanding sun engulfed earth. But I digress… Now, those were the mainstream theories that the everyday Joe, who didn’t know the big secret, worried about. So, if you were to ask me which theory was correct I can tell you that I haven’t seen any little green man, at least not from another planet, and so far the sun is still shining, although it’s been only 9 years since everything went to hell, not the few billions (give or take) the scientist predicted, so that one isn’t ruled out yet. These two aside, I'd say all of them. Hey everyone, this is my first attempt at writing. I have been planning to do it for a really long time, and while this is not the one epic fantasy idea I ever wanted to write, I think it's a good one. The plan is to write an end of the world urban-fantasy series. Think a world like Dresden Files, Alex Verus, Iron druid, where magic is real but exist hidden from society meets the apocalypse. It will be written in first person in the Dresden Files style, no plans for other POV for now. As you probally alredy guessed from my style, english is not my first langague, so while google corrector helps, expect grammar errors, and I'd be gratefull for anyone to point them. I plan to write 2 to 3 chapters a week, 2000-4000 words each. Might change as I get more experience and depends on my free time. Cover image from the colections of getwallpapers.com

Any help with editing will be welcome. Most of all enjoy or find another story you will. Thank you. There is some gore and Traumatising content but not much of either
