《Farmer's Pampered Wife: Farming Crops To Raise A Bun》Chapter 11: Catch The Thief!

At this moment, when Lai Wengui saw Lin Xiaoye look over, he immediately waved his hand.
Lin Xiaoye was stunned.
What is he doing again? Does he still want to take food from her?
Thinking of the conversation they had last time, she suddenly understood.
Well, isn't he just a rice worm? Lin Xiaoye really didn't want to pay any attention to him, so she immediately turned her eyes away and pretended that she didn't see him.
Lan Wengui suddenly frowned.
Didn't he just wave his hand for a long time? Could it be possible that Lin Xiaoye hasn't seen it?
Thinking of this, he immediately put his hand to his mouth again, almost exhausting all his strength to blow a fierce whistle causing all the birds flying around to suddenly flew away.
Lin Xiaoye wrinkled her brows and the anger in her heart rushed up.
Heaven-killing knife, this isn't a normal rice worm. If it goes on like this, maybe all the people in the Shili Village will hear him. When the time comes, they will be discovered, then wouldn't her reputation become bad? Looks like if she doesn't teach him a lesson this time, Lan Wengui would really think that she's a fool, right?
Having this in mind, Lin Xiaoye suddenly felt confident.
She immediately said, "I'm going out for a while."
Huo Li's palm immediately tightened. As he watched Lin Xiaoye's back leaving and his eyes darkened.
She still went.
He prepared to clean up the dishes. However, he didn't expect seeing Lin Xiaoye to suddenly throw a broom with such force.
"Catch the thief! Everyone! Someone's stealing something, catch the thief…"
Lin Xiaoye yelled at the top of her lungs.
Huo Li frowned, put down what he was doing and took a step forward.
When Lin Xiaoye shouted, all of the surrounding villagers immediately ran over. Some were still holding kitchen knives, some were even holding bowls and chopsticks, and some had just come up from the ground.
Not long later, there were already a lot of people gathered in front of Lin Xiaoye's courtyard.

At this moment, Lai Wengui was still in a stupefied state.
At this moment, an elderly aunt asked, "Old Huo's wife where's the thief?"
Everyone immediately looked around.
Seeing so many people coming over, Lin Xiaoye stopped shouting and gasped for air with her hands on her hips. Then, she pointed over.
"Hey, where are you!"
Everyone immediately looked towards the corner where Lai Wengui was hiding. Lai Wengui immediately became anxious and quickly took two steps forward.
"Xiaoye, what are you talking about?" Where's the thief?"
Lin Xiaoye laughed coldly: "What are you pretending for, the thief is you!"
Lai Wengui was shocked, "Me? When did I become a thief? Xiaoye, did you get it wrong?"
When everyone saw that it was Lai Wengui, ridicule and disdain appeared on many of their faces.
"Yeah, if you're not a thief, what are you? Look at you. You're planning to do something shameful in secret with Old Huo's wife, right?"
"Exactly, as for the two of you, who in the village doesn't know about it? Look at this Old Huo's wife. She actually dares to shout here. She's not ashamed at all!"
"What a disgrace to Old Huo's face. If it were me, I would have given up on this kind of person a long time ago."
At this moment, Huo Li was staring at Lin Xiaoye without blinking. He was rather interested in what she wanted to do.
Lin Xiaoye's palm immediately tightened.
A thousand heaven-killing knives, it was indeed this rice worm that had tarnished the original owner's reputation, right? No, that's not right. Furthermore, her handsome boy Huo Li is still here. Let's see if she doesn't teach Lai Wengui a lesson today.
Thinking about that, Lin Xiaoye immediately jumped up and slapped her thigh.
"Aiya, aiya, God please open your eyes. I didn't want to do anything with Lai Wengui. Everyone didn't know this; before I married Old Huo, Lai Wengui lied to me. He's a big liar!"
After speaking, Lin Xiaoye immediately began to cry with a wronged expression.

Everyone suddenly looked confused.
An aunt immediately asked, "What's going on? What do you mean he's a big liar?"
At this moment, Lai Wengui panicked and yelled at Lin Xiaoye: "Lin Xiaoye, what nonsense are you spouting? When did I lie to you?"
As he spoke, Lai Wengui actually began to feel guilty. After all, he was very clear on the fact that what he had done before wasn't something to be trifled with.
Lin Xiaoye immediately sat down on the ground and started to roll around wildly.
"Liar, you're still saying that you didn't lie to me, but I have to be clear in front of everyone today. I've already accepted everyone's words in the past, but now, I'm already Old Huo's wife. I can't ruin my family's reputation again!"
The aunt immediately said, "Old Huo's wife, you're really breaking our hearts seeing you crying like this. If you really have anything to say, just say it. Can you not tell that we're not idiots?"
"That's right, Old Huo's wife. Although the things you did in the past were not good, you didn't commit murder or arson. If you really feel wronged, just say it out."
Hearing that, Lin Xiaoye lowered her head and smiled.
That's what she's waiting to hear.
She immediately wiped the tears off her face.
"Uncles, aunties, I'm really grateful to all of you in my heart. I won't hide the fact that before I married Old Huo, I had already been engaged to Lai Wengui since we were kids and had thrown myself to him. Everyone knew that I, as a girl, naturally had to be devoted and I couldn't look into the pot while eating from a bowl."
Then, Lin Xiaoye instantly looked at everyone's expressions.
She saw that these people had been disgusted and disdainful of her just a moment ago, but now they were slowly revealing expressions of sympathy.
She quickly continued, "Back then the Lai Family didn't keep their word. Just because I didn't look good, they wanted me to withdraw from our engagement. Everyone, it was really a huge blow to a girl like me."
After that, Lin Xiaoye started crying again.
Everyone nodded in sympathy.
"That's right, she's a girl after all. No one would be willing to take her as a wife if that matter would be known. So Old Huo's wife is not a bad person!"
Hearing this, Lai Wengui immediately panicked and rushed forward.
"Hey, hey, hey, what's wrong with you, Lin Xiaoye? This was all but rotten grains. Was there a need to bring it out now? Didn't you just say that I was lying to you? What did I lie about?"
Lin Xiaoye came back to her senses and wiped the tears off her face, "Oh right, I just remembered those things from the past were too sad and I couldn't control myself for a while. Now, I'll tell you all how Lai Wengui deceived me."
Lai Wengui was momentarily stupefied, then realized that he had actually reminded Lin Xiaoye just now, didn't he just dug a hole for himself?
"Wait, Lin Xiaoye, when did I lie to you? You can't talk nonsense!"
Lin Xiaoye immediately narrowed her eyes and looked at him in disdain.
You're still spouting nonsense? Humph, wasn't it deceiving the original owner by using a few 'literary' words? His standard couldn't even be compared to those modern primary school students!
"Everyone can tell if I'm lying or not."
After speaking, Lin Xiaoye looked at everyone with a pitiful expression.
"Everyone, the thing is that Lai Wengui relied on the fact that I have him in my heart and ever since I've gotten married to Old Huo, he came to find me time and time again. He always said that he liked me a lot and he only had me in his heart. He also said that I should stay here longer and send him the pheasants that Old Huo had hunted every day. Then he will hoard them to be my dowry."

Fallout: Vault X
An original novel set in the Fallout universe, written to be accessible to all, featuring unique people and places. Vol.II. out now Fallout: Vault X tells the story of John. A vault dweller, who spent every day of his twenty five years underground. Like his father, and his father before him. Proud to live in the last remaining bastion of humanity, all that survived The Great War of the atomic age. Hidden deep below the surface of the earth, toiling under brutal conditions. Year after year, decade upon decade. All to expand into the natural cave system the Vault occupied, building for the future. However, John knew what his forefathers did not, that everything he’d been taught was a lie. After finishing school at the age of ten, John received his standard issue pipboy. An arm mounted personal computer, worn by everyone in the Vault. Used to coordinate the relentless pace of expansion, needed to work as an apprentice. To learn the craft that would be his life’s work. A noble calling to ensure a future for all that remained of the human race. A quirk of fate saw John equipped not with the crude, clunky, pipboy model his father wore. That almost everyone around him wore. His looked smaller, sleeker, finished in a jet black sheen. And capable of doing far more than its drab counterparts. The world above had been ravaged by atomic flames, yet life clung to its bones. The Red Valley fared better than most in the century since the bombs fell. The clean water and rich soil protected by rolling hills. All spared from direct strikes, for the most part. Life survived here. Trees spawned from charred ground, misshapen, green leaves turned red. Along with simple crops, grown wild at first, then cultivated by the survivors. The scavengers of the old world were inventive, hardy people. All determined to rebuild in the ruins of a world they never knew. In the decades that passed settlements emerged. They grew, spreading along the valley floor. Reclaiming the pre-war remnants of the once industrialised heartland. Salvaging the robotic wonders of a bygone age to build their walls and work their fields. To protect them in the dark of the wasteland. But such things are uncommon in this world, and the rarer something is, the greater its value. And the worth of pre-war technology had not gone unnoticed. The last, real, power in this world rested in the mechanised hands of The Brotherhood of Steel. Forged from the mortally wounded old world military. The Brotherhood used its access to the weapons made for a conflict no one won to strike out into the wastes. Men and women were equipped with advanced armour, aerial transportation, high grade weaponry. Accompanied by the training, strength, and will, to put them to use. They established chapters and set up outputs far and wide. All dedicated to a single purpose. To ensure the technology left abandoned by its long dead creators didn’t fall into the wrong hands. Namely, any hands that were not their own. This is the world John escaped into. A place of horrors brought forth from atomic fire. A place where survival meant battling against the darkness. Fighting a war each day to get to the next. And war...war never changes

Kai Jameson is an average everyday young man. He still lives at home with his parents after having just graduated from college. He loves playing video games and his job at the local Buy More is tolerable. Of course that all changes the moment the system arrives and the Earth is connected to the Nexus. Turns out Kai was trapped in time for about eighteen months while the people already here got a headstart on him. He lucks into being rescued by some people from a town called Donnyton and learns that if he wants to survive in this New Earth he'll have to work harder than ever before. The rewards are worth it. This is Kai's story, the moments of his triumphs, and the moments when he feels that things couldn't possibly be worse. Thanks to puddles4263 and his story The Legend of Randidly Ghosthound for the inspiration on the world this is set in. If you have never read that I highly recommend it, and if you have read it and enjoyed that story then I hope you'll enjoy mine as well. This is the first story I'm ever putting out for public consumption so reader beware on that. Any constructive criticism is always appreciated, simply leaving a half star review tells me that you're a moron who doesn't know how to use words. I'm constantly trying to improve my writing and feedback and criticism on what works and what doesn't is the only way to do that at the point I feel I am at. Last, I just marked all the content warnings because you never know where a story will take you and I don't want to exclude anything (though there will never be a harem). I am going to release 1-2 chapters per week on Fridays. Thanks and enjoy.
