《Silent Couple// Toge Inumaki x Reader》Chapter 21: Goodbye💡

I woke up today, but not only did I fall off the bed, but my brain also decided to replay my actions of last night.
'why did I do that?'
'he was probably tired after everything we did, he didn't mean anything he said'
'I shouldn't have gotten my hopes up'
'oh god'
Lots of negative thoughts filled my mind, I tried to brush them off but it just made it worse...
So now I'm here, avoiding Toge-senpai the best I could...
Once the bell rang I sprinted out of the classroom and ran to the vending machine, farthest from the school, to get some food.
I took out what I bought from the little compartment at the bottom and turned around only to be pinned to the vending machine by the one and only Toge Inumaki.
"..." I say nothing and stare at him, "Have you been avoiding me?" he asks in a calm tone but it was clear he was hurt by my actions.
"N-no no of course not why would I be avoiding you, it's totally not that I'm super embarrassed about what I did last night and apologize but I don't have the confidence to" I sweatdrop.
"Oh, so that's what this is all about... I don't know if you actually meant anything you said but-" he starts while he removes his grip on my wrists, "I meant everything I said." I declare
"What?" he replies
"do you want me to say it again? I said I meant everything I said last night" I repeat
He says nothing and locks eyes with me, "s-so you wouldn't mind if you did this?" he asks
"do wh-" I get cut off by a pair of lips on mine, my eyes widen slightly while I kissed back.

As I wrapped my arms around his neck, I could feel him grin through the kiss.
We both fought for dominance and in the end, well, he won.
Fortunately, we were behind the school and nearby his room.
We swiftly enter through the door and continued our little make-out session
I'll let you guys imagine the rest, let's just say I had a fun night
"Good morning everyone" I cheerfully greet as I enter our classroom with everyone doing their usual thing, and by usual I mean Yuuji and Nobara annoying the heck out of my brother.
I check my phone and see 2 messages, one from my step-brother, Akito, and another from Maki-senpai.
yo yo yo, it's me your favorite brother
n e ways I just wanted to say you look beautiful today!
alright, what do you want?
no no nothing of course,
why would you think that lowly of me??
Nii-san.
you're moving schools-
what?
do you want to keep your friends safe?
of course
then we're leaving right now
meet me at the pond behind the 2nd year dorms.
okay.
"Hey, sis" I hear Akito say from behind me.
"Moving?? please elaborate," I ask desperately, hoping that it wasn't what I thought it meant.
"Toji, he knows where you are and he's on his way, heck he could even be nearby!" he yells
"...Toji..." I mumble with wide eyes, I run towards my dorm room while passing through my friends who were looking for me.
I frantically unlock my door and grabbed a duffle bag and stuffed all my essentials.
While looking through my drawer for a piece of paper I stumble upon a polaroid picture of all my friends and Gojo-sensei all happily eating at our favorite restaurant, Panda Express
I smile at the photo and carefully place it in the pocket of my duffle bag.

I finally found a piece of paper and wrote in my best handwriting with my friends and brother banging on my door.
Hey guys,
If you're reading this I probably already left Jujutsu High
Thank you all for the love and care you have given me...
And thus I'm writing this while you're all banging on my door.
I knew this day would come, so I already wrote you guys separate letters and hid them under the plants in front of your doors.
I don't really know where I'm going yet but, if I do I will make sure to tell Gojo-sensei to keep you all updated!
I can't write anything else, Akito is waiting for me outside.
Just know that I'm doing this for you guys, you guys would be in danger if I stayed so I have to leave.
This is probably the last time I'm going to reach out to you all
I love you all! Keep safe and healthy!❤
I fold the paper neatly and jump out my window.
I feel a tear fall from my eye as I take a last look at my dorm room.
I jump down from the school's fences and get caught by Akito-nii
I thank him and we slowly hopped into his black moped, driving away from the only people that actually understood me...
Driving away from the only man I have ever romantically loved...
'Goodbye...'

Leftover Apocalypse
[Participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] This is a story about the newly-adult Calliope Smith having a terrible day that ends in her getting mysteriously teleported from Phoenix, Arizona to a fantasy world where her life is in constant danger. She considers this an upgrade. Someone evil is looking for her, and she doesn't know why. Someone who seems to know a lot about her has promised they'll help her, but she doesn't know who they are. All that matters to Callie is that magic is real and one way or another she's going to learn it. The end of the world is coming up, sure, but Callie won't need to worry about that. In fact, by the time she even finds out about it one of the doomsday devices will already be destroyed, and the authorities will be well on the way to dealing with the other one. It's fine. Everything will be smooth sailing. Almost certainly. Probably. Chapters are usually about 2500-3500 words, and the goal is to post 2-3 per week but I sometimes get busy or have some writers block. It's your standard portal fantasy / Isekai premise, but unlike some the main character's time on Earth and how she got pulled into another world will (eventually) be explored. Some slight GameLit-feeling stuff later, no menus or level-ups but there's something suspiciously like a skill tree when the magic system gets going. No number crunching, and while the main character will get to do some silly stuff she won't be a god like in some fics (and will in fact spend a lot of time being badly outclassed by her enemies). Some reader interaction, ranging from adding to the worldbuilding to occasionally making big important decisions about skill progression. Please note that the main character is flawed and impulsive, and will make some stupid decisions. That's part of the story, but I get that it's not for everyone. Trigger Warnings: Foster care system references, crappy parenting. Some mental health adjacent stuff, specifically the main character has some issues where she experiences varying levels of empathy and emotional vulnerability depending on the day (it's complicated and not meant to portray any real-world conditions). Occasional violence including mention of death and grievous bodily harm, but no detailed descriptions of gore.

Triquetra: A Multi-Class Isekai or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Accept the End of the Multiverse
Triquetra: An Multi-Class Isekei Adventure I know, I know, you have heard it all before. Yes I was hit by a truck. Yes I ended up in a Fantastical World suspiciously similar to one of my favorite RPG’s. Yes I had access to cheats no one else possessed. Yes it was a world of classes and levels and magic powers. Finally, yes I was an overweight middle-aged loser failing to live up to my potential. Given my eclectic reading habits I should have been better prepared. Unfortunately I was not. Sure I could multi-class with reduced penalties, but my starting class was Scholar! No combat abilities and very limited spellcasting. My HUD interface costs mana to use, and my universal translation seemed to be outsourced to Giggle Translate. I’m supposed to be an OP MC! Not a slice-o- life struggling to survive in the wilderness. Not to mention the Arch-Magus who summoned me, mistimed everything, I arrived 300 years too late, after the fall of the Empire I was supposed to save. The surviving remnants have devolved into Murder Hobos. What’s worse is that the Great Devourer, Ancient Calamity, and Spawn from the Void Beyond Time, Space, and Sanity is now aware of a new world to plunder, a world called Dirt! (Told you this translator sucks) Warning Extra Crunchy Authorial Vebosity! Lots of infodump in the early chapters, but I learn my lesson and it does get better, eventually. I do not own the Cover image, found it on a free image site.

An old man's new world
An old man on his deathbed has many regrets, but the one thing he regrets the most is not fulfilling his sense of adventure. What would he do if given a new change? I always try to make the characters as realistic as possible by giving them lives of their own and motivations for doing different actions, but because I'm a new author, I might miss a few things, so please, feel free to tell me if something feels fake or unrealistic. I also write as a hobby, and my motivation tends to go up and down. If I'm not feeling motivated, I won't force myself to write. This means that the upload schedule might have abrupt gaps and sudden spurts.
