-your head is still kind of aching, but you feel yourself lying on something soft

-"try not to move, dumbass, you took a pretty big hit" you hear a sharp but bite less voice whisper at you

-ah, its Maki

-you try and blink open your eyes, you see her sitting on your makeshift tatami, back facing you but turned so she can caress your hair with her left hand

-"what happened?" you croak out throat dry

-last you remember you were just on a mission to clear some low leveled monsters

-she explained how there was an ambush that they weren't expecting and it hit you pretty hard, but Maki took care of it in the end

-"as long as you're alright now, don't get hurt again you really made me worry back then"

-you laugh at the thought of Maki being worried for you.

-feeling tired again you close your eyes as she fed you some water with a straw

-"good night, see you tomorrow" was the final words you heard and a kiss on your forehead was the last contact you felt before you drowned into sleep
