"Honestly, this family drives me ."
Shiro ended the phone call, thoroughly annoyed. While out shopping with Toge, she received a phone call from her father. While this wasn't a new occurrence, she decided that she was in a good enough mood to pick up.
Big mistake.
The entire call was him screaming about how she was ungrateful and how stupid she was to leave her family behind.
Shiro ran a hand through her hair and sighed.
"Leaf mustard?"
She grabbed her drink and took a long sip before replying, "Yeah, I'm fine."
She didn't really want to talk about it. She wanted to preserve her good mood from earlier and enjoy food with Toge. While Toge had just recently returned from a task with Yuuta just earlier this week, Shiro was around lounging, binging The One Time I Got Reincarnated As a Slime.
"Kombu"
"Yeah, yeah~" She waved him off. She knew he was concerned. Within the recent months, she had felt like she was being watched... She figured her father probably hired some people to keep an eye on her. She had voiced this to Toge in passing, and it seems like he was taking it more seriously than she was.
"I'll just beat them up if they try anything" She takes a bite of the tiramisu in front of her, before reaching over to Toge's plate.
"I should of got this instead" She reaches over for a second bite. "It taste better than mine"
She watches as Toge reaches in his bag to pull out what seems to be a white board and a marker.
"You should be more careful" He wrote.
Hm, I haven't seen him use that in a while. She mused to herself. The last time she saw Toge write to communicate was probably a good couple years ago.
"I am careful" She pops another bite of Toge's chiffon cake in her mouth, getting some of the cream on the side of her lips. "Besides" She continues, "I have you around most of the time, they can't possibly take on both of us"
"I mean on your task in Fuchu tomorrow"
"Oh right" She had forgotten. Because she had been lounging this past week, she was instantly assigned to a task as soon as Toge and Yuuta returned.

"You should tell "
"No way, he'd only nag and offer to come along."
"Sujiko" Toge glares.
"At least you won't be by yourself"
"I'm telling you it's fine" She sighs. She thought her childhood friend was overprotective. "If It makes you feel better, I'll log my location onto your phone." I'm glad we live in a technologically advanced society.
Shiro reaches her hand out, asking for his phone. Toge gives her a skeptical look before grudgingly putting it into her hand.
"You know what," She says as shes syncing her own phone with Toges', "I'll even text you often while I'm away. Surly you'd feel better about it then right?"
Toge only sighs as he takes his phone back from Shiro. "Salmon"
"Would you like the check?" The two look up to see the blonde haired waitress. While she was trying to hide it with a smile, she was clearly aggravated. The two had been sitting there, talking for a couple of hours now. Well it was mostly Shiro telling Toge about her week and spoiling the slime anime to Toge.
Toge didn't mind it, after-all he wasn't planning on watching it anyway.
"A-Ah yes please." Shiro said with a small smile.
"Your total is 3,655 yen, thank you" The waitress calculated.
Shiro reaches into her pocket and hands over the money to the waitress.
"Salmon"
"It's fine Toge, you always pay for me. I have money too you know" She laughs.
Toge shook his head, "Salmon" He insisted, pulling money out of his own pocket.
"Just get it next time, this ones on me" She argues. "I ate most of it anyway"
Toge looked down at their plates. She was right. While they both got an item from the menu, Shiro was the one that ate the majority of it, right down to his drink. He shook his head and looked at her. Just where does all this food go?
"Tuna mayo"
Shiro finished paying and the two finally left the shop. As they were walking down the road, Shiro abruptly stopped.
"Do you feel that?" She narrows her eyes at the small abandoned house at the end of the block.
"Salmon" Toge followed her eyes and shivered as a sinister feeling creeped up his neck. Before he could say anything more, Shiro already started walking towards the house. "Kombu!"

"It's fine, I'll text Satoru." She said, dismissing his concerns while taking out her phone. "Lets go check it out."
The house was a two story building, with junk and trash all over the yard. The windows were smashed with paint chipping off. It was weathered down and old, with a dark aura of curses looming around.
As the two reached the wooden front porch, the staircase creaked with each step. Shiro reached for the door handle, but before she could touch it, they both heard a blood curling scream.
Shiro hasty opened the door but there was no one inside.
"Did... did we imagine that?"
"Kombu" Toge shook his head and pointed at a shoe near the edge of the stair case. Someone had been here, and a human from the looks of it.
"We should go save them huh" She sighs. "Honestly, what were they doing at a place like this anyway" She rolls her eyes before walking towards the staircase. "Toge you should check this floor and see if theres anyone or anything here, I'll go upstairs"
He nodded and made his way towards the opposite of the stairs.
The stairs were quite eerie, kinda reminded her of those houses in horror movies. Not surprising that its haunted by curses.
As she walked up the stairs, again she felt that same chill from where she initially walked to the front porch.
"You don't want to play this game with me" She mumbled.
She reached the second door on the right and inside she sees a boy, just about her age laying on the ground, barley awake.
"H-help me" He manages to choke out. Behind him was a rather ugly thing. It resembled the olympics symbol with three eyes bulging out of it's body. It had four legs that kinda reminded Shiro of chicken feet and two wire like antennas.
"Ugh, you're an ugly one huh" She glares. "Not like you understand me anyway"
"T̵̢͇̻̠͔͙͔̀͆̔̑̓̔̃̀͜͝h̸̬͈̲͕̯̩̓͗̋̇͌͑͌͌͊e̸̡̛͈̪̜̬̘̣̜̳̍͐̃͛̎̔ ̶̺́̈́̚ͅd̸̢͙̗͚͇̗̣͇̏̊̇͂͌͒͜ì̷̱̩s̶̘̈̿ḩ̶̧̠̜̫̰͎̯̱͌ë̷̞̺͖̫̯̘́̄̈́̌̈̿̍͝͠s̵̢̨̮̫͚͇̻̮͇͋͆̃͆͝ ̴̡͚͈̈́̿̇̔͗͆̈̓͠n̸̞͚͊̎̇̓̉̚͠ȅ̶̢̛̖̙̳̊͐̈́̀̕͠e̴̮̱̮̟̜͈͎̿̈̆̽͗̎͠d̸͙̳̥̻̥̮̭̪̩̪̈́̇̿͝ ̶̧̧̖̼͇͔̬̼̅̾͂̀̃̐̽͒̄́t̴͚̺̏o̷̧͖̟̒̔͝ ̶͕͓̈́́̌̅b̵̡͖͚̜̗̼͕͇̦͛̅̀̈̈́͘è̴̙͉̍̔̄̂́͘ ̴̟͇̰͈͈͕̝̙̓̀́͝w̵̢̩̥̫̳̪̺͈̒͐̄̈́͌̆͝͝͠a̷̬̰͎͚͚͐͆̈́̈͊̈́̚͠ş̶̧̗̯͈̮͓̻͋̓̇̉͛̀̑̆̒̈́h̷̡̦͕̰̮͖͓͋̍̅ę̴̫̦̲̪̪̮͚̂d̷̼̳͈̪̖̬̝͕̀̂̀!" It screams before grabbing the boy.
"Seriously?" She sighs. "At least be original. I don't even have a weapon on me" She says before putting her hands up as if to surrender.
If curses could grin, she was sure this one did. But before it could move a single muscle, Shiro was already in front of it, surprising it. it grabbed the two chicken like arms that held the boy and tore it out of its body before letting the boy fall to the floor.
Shocked, the curse tried to escape. Shiro internally groaned. How annoying
It tried to run, but Shiro was faster. Within seconds, she was in front of it again, but before she could grab it, she sensed another presence to her right and quickly moved out of the way.
Another one? Seriously?
This one was just as ugly as the first. With a body similar to a worm, it had a multitude of legs, kinda like a centipede. It had one ugly purple eye and mouth full of sharp teeth. What made it even more creepy was that it had long thick dark eyelashes on that sole eye.
"T̸͕̤̼̤̥͈̊͋͌͊̓̊̾̃͛̕h̸̨̓̿é̶̢͇̩̰͔̣͔̲̞̮̏̽͗͌͘͝ ̴̨̯̱͔̍̂̿ǵ̸̡̮̳̳͕̲̆̾̇̏͋ǎ̵̰̦͋ͅr̵̩̪͌̕ḑ̵̧̩̦̲̹͉͖̱̀̿̀̌̄̈́͘̕ę̴̼̭͚̙͙̞̘̈́̈̈́̐̃̈́n̷̦͔͚̝͖̮̆̏̊̈̽́̀͘!" It screeched before they both lounged at her, just barley missing her.
She grabbed the closest thing to her, in this case a large dusty lamp, and threw at them. As the two curses dodged the lamp, the worm like curse went right and the other went left. To the worm like curse's surprise, Shiro also went left and the next thing it knew was that Shiro's hand was directly on it's face.
The worm like curse started to scream as Shiro rapidly fast forwarded it's cells, so fast that it couldn't keep it. "I really should of brought my dagger." She mumbles to herself. "This is really inefficient"
"M̷̧̡͓̪̫̩͍͇̈́̇y̴̨̛̑̈́̄͊͛ ̵̡̨̩̺̰̦̲̀r̸̰̠͚̊̑͐̈͋̾̀ͅō̴̟͙̹̟͎̮͆͝s̶̠̝̥̩̺̩̪͈̩̾ẹ̵̱̾s̴̤̩͙̮̄͆̂͋̅̕͝ ̶̯͙̙͕͌̌̀͆̀͒̉͊͛ͅà̸̡̰̝̮̲͈̟͆͠n̸͖̦̘͇̘̊̇̆̀̈́̔d̸͔̤͓̯͑̔̈̿̂͘̚͜ ̷̼̭͔̦̀̀̈́̎͌̑̃ͅd̸̼͙̰̣͖̼͉̞̺͂̂̽̃̌̑̍a̶̩̥͎̘͇̪͕̳̙̓̌̓́̅́̎̈́̆͝ͅṅ̵̡͍̳͇̬̟͕̠ḋ̴̨̀̈́͊ē̵̛̮̖̼͉͎͕̱͑͑̾̇͌̆̚͜l̸̨̙̫̤̥͈̍̽̽́͗͌̿̀͝͝ǐ̴̟̼̹̽̒͛̓́̄͂͝ǒ̶̧̻̂͑̐͐̓̀̚n̵̦̓̈́̒̽̒͐́̏̚͜s̷̺̼̳̥͕̰͕̋́͑̂̚͜!"
To the right, Shiro saw at the corner of her eye, the other curse had picked the boy back up. The boy was conscious and struggling to get out of the curse's grip.
"" with those two words, the curse drops the boy on the ground. Before it could recover, Toge said "" and the creature explode throughout the room, before disappearing in the air.
The other one was rapidly disintegrating, its body barley the size of a basketball now. Within seconds, it to quickly disappeared into thin air as if it never existed.
"Leaf mustard?" Toge asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Thanks for the assist" Shiro laughs. Honestly she didn't know what she'd do if Toge didn't show up. It was rather difficult to exorcise a curse without a weapon, and even harder to do when there was two.
"Is he okay?" She asked, looking over at the clearly shaken boy.
Toge looked over at the boy and coughed. "Salmon"
